Speaking for that one guy that kept spamming that question every diary update...no. But as they've stated, they're planning on having their own distribution platform alongside steam.
do you know if their platform gets released when the steam version gets released. I think that people, myself included, would like to keep the lewd stuff off their steam account or not announce to the world they are playing Subverse, because we all know we are not playing for the "gameplay"

Don't know yet, its stated in the update there that we'll get one more dev diary detailing launch plans.

i think is up to steam to come up with the price, cuz is hard to know the reality of each place. Besides that, most of the revenue come from US/western EU anyway

Usually its the set rate by the game maker so the 30$ USD subverse has it put at then its converted to your regions currency so for me that would be 37$ so just take 30 USD and compare it to your currency conversion rate and you should know what it will cost you

is not how it works, look at the latin america price, is usually cheaper of the us dollar on steam, some cases even uses 1=1 to dollar

I was expecting 20USD. 30~40USD is very expensive for a game that had it's development costs covered by crowdfunding. Some developers need to face the risk of the game facing poor sales and ending up in debt. So it's not really a fair value.

Also, take, for example, The Witcher 3: It had over 30 million budget. But its price was only 50USD. 10x the money spent on development for only 1,6x the price.

Still, I honestly wish them the best. I hope they get a lot of money and continue creating 'high budget' porn games. But I'm not really inclined to support them for that value.

The price doesn't bother me, but the design of the game with all the open relationship stuff just isn't for me. I'll check out a high seas copy, but definitely not buying it. I do hope for those who are into the style of game this is, that it sells well and is everything they hope for. I'm all for more adult games and Studio FOW does excellent animation work. Would be happy to buy future games that are more in line with what I'm looking for, even for $60.

You were expecting 20 dollars for a game that could end up just as long as Witcher 3? Feel the need to reiterate that this isn't some visual novel you're gonna knock out in a day.
