Oh, ok, my bad then, but anyway mod shouldn't be encouraging behavior like this. It's like "yeah, you are right, but I must punish you even if I agree". Unprofessional. Mod should always stay neutral.
I think the phrase I used was "Dear Sir, you are a retard"...... The rest of the message was just about it is up to modders to update their mods when a game release a new update, not the devs of a game to make sure mods compatible with their game.

The mod did agree with the message, just not the wording of how I did address the dude. Don't think that is unprofessional.

The way you worded it first time implied that mod agreed with him being a "retard". Now that you said it properly and mod agreed with your message and not with you being offensive I agree mod did the right thing.

In the space combat there is a ton of downtime resulting in long periods of waiting for shit to appear. The only real threat is from the smaller enemies that approach while shooting and suicide on contact. The bigger enemies are easy to dodge and just take forever to die. Mindless tanky enemies.
This is a quote from a recent review which reminds me of something that I don't think has been addressed in this dab train of BTFO'ing the shills
>the space combat is bad, bugfilled, and fundamentally broken

Enemies spawn outside of the combat area on many planets. Waves are triggered by death of a previous wave, but because they are using prebought combat assets they have no ability to change or fix this. Enemies spawn outside of the combat area. The autosaves don't fix it. Even on the main quest planets. I've had to shoot in a loop around the combat area trying to aggro ships not chasing me that spawned outside the combat area of the space map. You can miss ONE small ship and sit there for 30 minutes like I did trying to hunt it down in or out of the combat area. An enemy can spawn outside the map and you have to shoot it for it to shoot back, then spar with an enemy not on screen to kill it to progress the game.

Everything about Subverse is Objectively Trash.

You got a link to those prebought combat assets then? There is linked reviews above from youtube stating the shoot em up part is among the better parts of the game, and is done very well. Nevermind those normies that does game reviews and such for a living hu?

Sit there 30 mins waiting for a ship sounds like a bug and not actual gameplay. If you buy into that, then you didn't really play that part of the game at all.

Actually prebought assets is a confirmed thing. I remember one of the updates when people caught up on the fact ships used in Subverse share the same assets with one other game (Stellaris maybe, I don't remember). Studio FOW confirmed it's true and that there is nothing wrong in it (and maybe they are right, SHMUP in porn game is not a priority so maybe there is no sense in designing everything yourself).

Yeah, my material lived experience of the game was several planets requiring firing around the entire combat area at random for tens of minutes to clear quests on random planets due to the bug in the prebought asset's wave system making them spawn outside the fucking map.

"The ship combat is the good part" is only in comparison to the absolute tedium of the ground combat Prebought asset and false if you are actually used to this SNES tier combat system pioneered by newgrounds and online games the last decade. One upgrade level, poor combat. All due to prebought assets. You're stupidly OP for most of the game, gated only by bugs like enemies outside the combat area, and the "good" shooter gameplay can be beaten with a ship barely upgraded. They fucked up hard on the combat loop. A new angle of why the game is not only bad but irrecoverable.

Stellaris doesn't use any prebought assets. I got the game + every expansion and dlc for it. Its not a shoot em up either. its a 4x game. If its a confirmed thing, then there should be actual facts and sources. Or is there more of someone said something so it must be true? I can't remember to have seen any "dildo/dick and boob" spaceships in other games though.

The ground combat thing, might be another tale though.

Although, many games you find in early access on steam use "free" assets during development stages and then gradual replace them with their own as development progress. You seen this in like Empyrion, 7 days to die, Stars End and a whole host of other games.

This the "big crime".... ? Oh dear, should we string up every creator on this site that use stock assets in their games as well?

Where is the smoking gun of them bought the entire shoot em up game, tactical part etc, that people been screaming about?

People had mostly problem with this part of the update. "Design philosophy behind them"? "Did we nailed it or not"?

Then they showed us the screens identical to those from the asset. I mean, yeah, it's not a big crime, it helps saving resources and I support it, but I don't understand why weren't they upfront about it. They said it only after they were called out. It's like trying to create an illusion that's their own work and they had some "philosophy" behind this design.

Nothing wrong with using prebought assets. Those are amazing models.
Just don't bullshit and claim there's a "design philosophy behind them." Full of shit and trying to take someone else's credit for their hard work.

Uh, design philosophy I would found to be use assets suitable and fitting for the gameplay. Like, not have fucking mario carts in a space shooter, plush animals and whatever.

I'm quite sure those fuckbots, dildo/dick ships, boob/vagina ships etc wasn't bought in any asset store...

You are probably right, after all drawing penises is something we learn during our time at primary school in notebooks.

And I agree, it was a very good choice they didn't use assets for Mario Cart or horses in armors in space combat. That's a praiseworthy philosophy indeed.

Actually, those "fuckbot" models/ships is better than anything I can draw, so I challenge you to draw better :ROFLMAO:
I didn't draw much penises and such in primary school, because back then teachers actually could be scary af.... and getting wrapped over the hands with a wooden ruler was not really desired..

I design reactors, not draw dicks for a living. Again, the "do better" argument. "Your keyboard broke after 2 weeks of using? Do better". "Food in our restaurant looks 10 times worse than in our menu? Do better". People have right to expect quality when paying for something and criticizing something doesn't require proficiency in the field. I wouldn't stay for long in my field if I would say "do better" when someone expects me to alter something.

Well, hang on, what you're showing is a little different from what IG88a is claiming. We know that many of the models are pre-made assets that were either free (there's even an in-game joke about it) or purchased, IG88a is specifically claiming the ground combat mechanic is also a pre-made module from the store rather than something the programmers StudioFOW hired made from scratch.

Honestly, I can't take the accusation seriously because he's being way too hyperbolic about it. I don't doubt that he's encountered a bug with it, but he hasn't actually presented any proof or explained why he thinks his case makes it fundamentally irrecoverable.

Well so far I'm okay with the game but, I can't seem to get past the Drilldildozer 69,000 mission, after I destroy it, the characters talk and then the game stops responding, still hear the music but the game just freezes anyone else with a similar problem??? 1618053686327.png

Right there it just stops responding.

Tried waiting.
Tried not waiting and switched tabs.
PC is decent.
No other parts of the game have any issues prior to this.
Didn't try replaying the game again because I'm hoping someone has a save just beyond this point so I can continue playing.

There was a patch on steam that addressed various bugs... I guess maybe this one of them.......

The only bug I found was when defending that station and the EMP never did discharge. After the 3rd or 4th attempt it did though.

It wasn't about "do better" it was about, those fuckbot models... You don't buy them or find them as free assets, that is made inhouse... If they use a mix of free or store bought assets combined with their own, who the fuck care as long as it all fit in the theme of the game. Or "Design philosophy" if the need arise to use grand words.

If you do design reactors for a living, I suppose you know something about cost of projects etc as well then. Or at least educated enough to know how the real world work in regard of running costs, wages, etc.

This game is perfect and flawless. The devs are undercharging. It should be 70.00$ because it's one of the if not the best adult games currently on the market.
