Ya, never hurts to try things out and even ask folks for their input / read reviews from people who have checked something out that you're interested in.Ghostrunner comes to mind when I read this. The demo worked just fine but when the game actually launched it had a ton of issues including dropped inputs, which is an issue in a 3D platformer where missing a grappling hook means death. Had I ripped that game off, I never even would've bought it. Luckily refunding is pretty easy but still depending on the game it ties up your money for a while
While I really like certain things with Subverse and was likely to be one of the folks buying it day one originally, it was a poster here on F95 that basically saved my bacon with a post in another thread pointing some things out that made me pause and say, well maybe I ought to wait for a little more information before I pull the trigger and I am very appreciative to him as I would have most likely missed the refund window on Steam and been a very unhappy camper had I been impulsive and just gone ahead and taken a leap of faith with it. So I definitely value feedback from other gamers.
