The assertion that subverse was a "success" on steam is unfounded and being used duplicitously as evidence of your coversation with our resident subversefan69. Further, I'd hazard a guess that the soon to drop DRM free GoG release is evidence it wasn't. Why open themselves up to immediate piracy through another platform if it was going so well on the worlds biggest videogame market? You can smell blood in a decision like that.
Subverse appearing on GOG also make a shift on GOG accepting adult games. If the "anti consumer" store "Epic Games" had allowed adult games, I'm quite sure it would been available there as well. Following your narrative then every game sold on GOG that you also find on Steam would equal being a failure, which clearly isn't the case. In the case of CDPRJ, why would anyone buy ANY of their games when they all DRM free on gog right?

I am not gonna lie, i was expecting more, but then again , tell me one game that is remotely alike to this one and i will give you 1000$.
Skyrim + porn mods. Right now its best option overall. Gameplay that is still better then 99% of existing games on steam, plus customizable porn experience on level with any existing 3d porn games from illusion, plus some quest\storytelling experiences on level much higher than your typical 0.1patreongame.

Let's not go that far. I obviously don't agree with a bunch of Joshua's comparisons but we'd be crazy to pretend Subverse wasn't a success on Steam. It's up to Fow to hold onto that momentum they had on release which I personally think they aren't.

Well, for a successful game it has kinda dead fanbase. I hadn't heard any artists no animation guys doing their characters, outside of one cosplay set fow linked themselves i seen no other. Lets face it - it didn't hit the nail.

Since it's "off topic" apparently to directly compare the 2 million dollar train wreck of a monster sex Hgame to the 1.6 million dollar monster sex hgame on their technical merits I'll speak abstractly. This is the second time the direct mention of a certain other much better, much more popular, much higher rated game listed on this site in the same genre with the same content and the same playerbase has been arbitrarily jannied so people will... play this instead?

So we'll discuss payment via PM, but you can search tags I guess for "3D" "Sandbox" "combat" "Scifi" and the big one should be near the top of the list. It's 50 new monster sex CGs aren't reskins either, they actually make new ones every 2 months.

Games that predated subverse now actually qualify for their moniker of "AAA Hgame" and surpass the bar FOW themselves set for expectations.
Hgames with
1. true "mass effect" sandbox gameplay like people actually expected from stating such
2. conventional playloops like combat, but actually synergistic with the pornography
3. in depth choice based relation systems with female characters/companion mechanics

Subverse as a 3D kinetic novel with minigame content gating will always be quaint in comparison, even if its ultimately finished, when held up to most of the market from around when they started crowdfunding. Something the smart money knew from the kickstarter phase when they were asking for 40k to eat ramen and make their little newgrounds shmup porn gamu before success doomed them with bloated stretch goals and unfulfillable promises into what we see today.
Looking for that game that you describe

You yourself vapidly asserted that Steam as the biggest was the brass ring and proofs!1! of inherent success, so following your narrative migrating to a smaller platform that will sell 1 copy to F95 is showing their hand. And as per usual you dance to another argument when the hammers dropped on the latest unsupportable assertion.

It's up to Fow to hold onto that momentum they had on release which I personally think they aren't.
It's a stretch to call it momentum when you go by the numbers outside of setting some scraper bots haywire with crowdfunded game behavior. People did buy new copies of the game... 7 months ago, but the vast lions share of "sales" were existing backers. They took a crowd funding gamble and it failed is the short of it. Being paid upfront put a hard timer on the game, one everyone thought was a year to 100% completion, then they had to spend an extra year to get anything releasable, now 7 months for ~30 new animations reskinned as 50 and some more VA, then "next build maybe march or something" on a trajectory of being what, years to completion? That timer is going to ring some point and it'll be a dark day for crowd funding when it does, doing even more damage than they already have to fan backed indie projects.

Not really. Even for games that aren't having good public reception, their own most dedicated fanbase will usually back them no matter what. Other sites that aren't their own community might be less biased, but places like their Discord will usually have regulars extremely excited to back them on anything. One of the reasons why talking about games outside of a game's own community is having less bias discussion and no fear of mods cracking down on "negativity". Of course, this doesn't mean you won't encounter a fanboy.

Oh nice, bring out a 17 year old Larry game that was even released on Playstation 2. Really? Waiting for you to link in all that lewd and explicit material from this game that will give the crowd raging boners.... If this game is the peak of what you can deliver as proof of GOG have games with sexual content the nature of Subverse... you really got egg on your face. Even games such as the witcher series and Cyberpunk, got more sexual content in them then what this Larry game got.

A game that even the fans of the Larry series turned their back on. As it was just a cash grab and had nothing to do with the Larry games the fans of the series loved due to the creator "Al Lowe"..

Suddenly Subverse is a porn game again? Funny, I thought it was a game for adults.

You're still flailing trying to keep up the false assertion steam was the vehicle for subverses initial potential, painting your little headcanon people will play porn games in front of their steam friends list as some paradigm shift and private distribution isn't the norm, so someone certainly has egg on their face.

They made money through crowdfunding, paid upfront and hitting a market cap of players through the media circus about "the first AAA porngame." Distribution network plays little role in it as their actual model was direct sale to consumers through kickstarter, but it is convenient for making it highly public that unfortunate nonbackers on steam think the game is at an aggregate F+ commensurate with the 2.5/5 here.

I said it was a game foremost. Quoting creators... "A game with porn it in. Not a porn game". Degenerates that just want to strip the assets and disregard the game mechanics for a quick wank define it as something else.

I'm still waiting for you to find games on GOG with sexual content the nature of Subverse. Or did you board the train of whataboutism to try escape? Or maybe you can agree Subverse will be a "door opener" for adult games with more sexualized content on GOG?

Many game studios done crowd funding on kickstarter to get off the ground. Larian Studios with Baldurs Gate 3 of more recent. Still early access on Steam at 50 bucks something... Crowdfunding is not the same as sales. If you look at the steam charts, and even go towards the low end of the estimate, or somewhat in the middle. FOW had nice sales for a game of such a nature even if you subtract the numbers for keys given out because of kickstarter. Oh and newsflash, there is no market cap on games. Skyrim still sells, GTA5 still sell. Decade old games still sell....

Garbage one.
You are entitled to your opinion just as everyone else is, but it doesn't make it any more right or wrong than theirs. Most sane people keep away from what they regard as garbage and focus on something else though.

How do I get this to run guys? I've downloaded it twice and both times I received the same error. I downloaded the crack as well. Could you show me a pic of how your folders look?

If I get your argument right I will disagree with you. What was in EA should be the beta and after some updates they should put on EA. Now don't forget they set an expectation bar, this time we were not talking about a guy that you sometimes throw 5-10 on patreon close to any major update or you came here to see if there was any update. And again this is just one part of the problem.

GoG will release the EA or just the full?
It'll release the same way as Steam I presume.
