Sorry to interrupt the this game is fraud vs this game meets expectations argument.
I have a question I was wondering if anyone could answer.

Have they changed the grid combat camera at all or at least allowed for zooming in and out?

I haven't touched the game since launch and my biggest gripe with it was how lackluster the grid combat looked. It was very much not visually appealing to me.
they’ve cleaned up the visuals, and there’s plenty of map variety now. Whether that’ll satisfy you is up to you.

Pandora should have been side content AFTER the game was done.

Instead, its a cheap way to toss in some eh scenes while they actually finish the game.

SMH.
Or, just a theory, they put in not as many scenes so they could get enough feedback that they wouldn’t have to scrap everything and start over.

can only imagine how much crap they’d have gotten had they stuck to their 100% completed game then release plan.

yeah, you are 100% the /aco/ tourist off his meds based on that guy having you ignored and just this interaction. No i jumped in this thread to state a literal, observable fact, like it or not. Then i got someone with nothing to do with their time accusing me of "grouping" people in literally the same post where he lumps me with his pet peeve group based entirely on one interaction. I won't ignore you but please refrain from making sounds in my general direction again, thanks.
No, you're wrong. I do find it absolutely hilarious that some drama you were involved in on 4chan has gotten you so flustered that you're bringing it up here.

EVERYONE made fun of that ending, and the players made such a riot that Bioware had to go back and fix a LESS worse ending. The original ending took a giant dump on players that had played the entire series. You could tell the real talent at Bioware did wane over the years. And then we got the Mass Effect Andromeda with all the mongo faces.. good job Bioware :p
I was one of the black sheeps that didn't make fun of it, due to feeling completely drained from the realization that nothing mattered in the end. And didn't want to finish the other four Shepards that I made and played back from when the original first game came out, only played the MP since then (cause Fury, after unlocking through the lootbox system back then...) Only to completely stop playing the game completely once the Extended Cut was released, using the same Shepard that I finished.
I have to say that they technically got the Mass Effect exploration through the map system, the only other Mass Effect exploration was the first game's mako moments... And all I can remember, that are not part of the main story (or that Station DLC) but the side quests instead, was bland... boring... boosting up and jumping up mountains while being shot at while blasting Geth or Batarians. Granted, if Studio Fow used the money to do this, I would be impressed... for all of ten seconds and wouldn't be surprised if that kind of exploration was just like the run of the mill Mako explorations.
And the crux of my point is that they did promise backers things that they have walked back on. Now they're universe excuse is that it's a "game with porn, not a porn game", despite advertising it as the apex of porn games.

Didn't they say one of their pre-Taron or Ela updates that they were going to roll out some of their Pandora changes but never did? I know I don't decide they're order, but they shouldn't overpromise things either. If they couldn't make it happen, just say so in a dev diary. Going dark on that front and pretending like the "Pandora Overhauls" discussion wasn't a thing is not the way to go.
I haven't checked on the other promises to Backers about the Station DLC that those that spent a lot of money for (I only spent enough to get the calender), but they have walked back on the EA... only to walk back on THAT and still hand out the EA, and I still got all the backer stuff so I cannot say I got shafted, but I am waiting to see what the other Backers (if they are around) got to say.

On that note, however, I cannot help but notice that ability to change the Captain's skin color was removed, don't know when that happened though...

Also about that image, I do remember constantly checking the lab (aka spamming it), I never heard any moans and Lily was never missing when that post was being spread around. So I would take that post with a massive grain of salt, and this is coming from someone that was incredibly irked that Studio Fow was withholding a video of theirs (Project Snow) until their twitter page had enough followers, when they were losing them, until Subverse was announced and became known.

That's because it was something they wrote down back when Subverse was intended to have some avoidable and unavoidable scenes on top of the Pandora system handling them. This was before Pandora was decided to be a complete side gallery only. At some point during pre-EA, they caved over a subset of fans crying about NTR that they chose the route for scenes we have now. The way they talked about scenes and replied to Q/A early on heavily suggested that we could encounter those kind of scenes through the ship and possibly during some missions. Unless they decide to add small bits of dialogue scenes to the beginning of the scenes locked in Pandora, we will never have what was described for that Bulgetto scene. The same applies to what was described to sound like a Chodestool "mini-game" that involved you having to feed it occasionally or you could wind up finding it going at it with someone like Taron while moving through the ship menus.

Just sidebarring for Snow, but that was never really a film (you’ll notice it isn’t listed as an official movie release on their website, nor does it have a number denoting its project number). It was a training wheel flick they used for prospective animators to show what they could do. That’s why it looks like it’s made by like 10 different people, cuz it was :p

As for backer DLC, I wouldn’t honestly expect that til after the game is done. But then they’ve also said they were gonna do devotion quests after 1.0, but then changed their mind on that, so who knows.

But the space whales (the highest backers that got to add their own scenes) have been getting added to the game, so rewards are being fulfilled. Backer planets have also been in the game for awhile now. One of them’s fairly noticeable as it’s named after one of the mods.

I... not sure if the outcry even happened during the pre-EA. As before that, the demos that were released for higher-tier backers than me, and I got those from here, were just the horde-mode space-ship battles. That said, I cannot in good faith say that my disbelief is fact cause like I said, I am not sure. But I do want to say this outrage happened right around the time the game honestly hit EA.

Though everything you said, about the devs immediately changing to the Pandora system without dialogue due to the fans crying about NTR, is correct. Which brings to people crying that the sex scenes having no context. Honestly wished Studio Fow could have kept the premise... but, at the same time, Studio Fow shot themselves in the foot as I recall one of the premise for the game alluded to romance in the first place...

About the Snow one, that makes a lot of sense. Still raised a brow out of me that it still required a number of followers to be released. But eh...

Also good to know that the Backer Planets have been being added overtime all the same. But everything else about their promises is a wait and see kind of deal on if the devs can continue keeping.

They did, and my dumb ass bit on that part of the marketing HARD. My mistake for trusting them with their track record... they baited what was left of my Mass Effect fanboi hard.

My mistake, I will NEVER trust this dev again.

That said I agree the game feels watered the hell down, from trying to please everyone and failing to really please anyone.

I feel like no one remembers what actual game development hell is like, see: Duke Nukem Forever, Resident Evil 4. The longest period between game updates was launch and Ela, and even then there were pretty substantial reasons, bad and good (a pandemic and their lead dev taking paternal leave).

You failed to spot the obvious takes on GAMEplay in form of shoot em up and tactical combat on that kickstarter? FOW not to be blamed for peoples assumptions. They said they would make a game with lots of lewd shit in it. And they are doing that.
very first line on Kickstarter said:
Since the dawn of time, humankind has stared up at the cosmos with a mixture of trepidation and wonder. Turning our curious eyes toward the glittering stars speckled around our little blue planet, we have often asked ourselves the eternal question:

Are we alone in this universe? What is out there? More importantly… can we bone it?
No, I'm pretty sure it's not just assumptions. But I see this is one of those situations, so I guess I won't really bother.

I added an all-in-one archive, but I haven't tested it. Tell me if it doesn't work.
