Question, can someone fill me in on why West Taiwan / China would be upset by this game? As in, specifically this one as opposed to the countless other adult games? I'm not sure I understand why they would care and hadn't heard of this.

Because of misunderstanding appearing after the dev diary in wich was stated that they are not planning to do translation on other languages and will do it later after the full release. Chinese ppl misunderstood because they dont understand even fucking basic english and dont bother learning it and thought that chinese translation will never be done even thou devs promised it on kikstarter as far as I remember
The one thing which drives me completely nuts in this game, is the fact that there is no overview which systems you already cleared with the missions. So you go to the nebula map, and there is 25 systems, and I have to click on every single system to see if I missed any planet, or, some planets got some new missions. So annoying.
My Transmission claims the .torrent file is corrupt and can't be loaded. I took a quick peek and it *looks* reasonable but I didn't really analyze it much.
Perhaps someone can post a corresponding magnet link instead? Hopefully that should clear up the issue.

Was some other lewd game on steam made by some actual Tawainese dev. he got bombed the crap out of because he used a Tawainese VA and not a Chinese or something. They even review bombed the game "Kerbal space program". they just crazy people.
There's one slogan that encapsulates a vast majority of porn devs, "We'll milk your wallet, but not you", and the ability to complain when people expect progress, and an actual dev schedule.

Chinese users got mad over a dev diary regarding their version's translation status and opted to review bomb the game.
The game was getting bad reviews before the whole rating bomb fiasco. We've been through this discussion multiple times and it never held up that the majority of bad ratings came from the Chinese. In fact, there was more evidence that the majority of positive reviews at EA launch came from those who hadn't played the game yet. Even now, there are still a bunch of reviews you can find on the first page of people who have only played the game for an hour and then never touched it's future patches.
Unfortunately the update only is too much for now, a lot of change this time that make the update be very big. So I did a torrent for people can check the files and download. The game is already cracked just download and play.

They had roadmaps before but all that led to was stress and complaining if they were even a day late on something.
And progress isn’t instant in a update for two, they’re not crunching their team to make a quarterly earnings report look better to their shareholders. So things like the Pandora overhaul are gonna take time. Even so the foreplay clips before the recruitment scenes are decent, adding that context people have been asking for. I doubt that will be done for every Pandora scene (because there are dozens of them at this point) but that is something showing progress.
Triple A budgets are waaay more than 2M. And wasn't their patreon gone long before they announced this game? I'm not saying they don't deserve the blame as they clearly mismanged this. I'm just saying you guys don't have a full view on the costs of running a business. Can you share some examples of better quality, or larger scope for less costs? I'm curious to know.
Neverwinter Nights was developed on 1.2 mil and took 3-5 years depending on how you count by 50~70 people (including artists, va, testers etc).
Pillars of Eternity on 4 mil took slightly under 3 years from kickstarted to finished game by 110~120 people (including artists, va, commercials and promo costs, etc).
Not that a few Bethesda devs and modern Obsidian dev team are a fair comparison point from experience, but they are a decent "good quality for money benchmark" for AA budget dev cycles. The estimated 2 mil kickstarter and post taxes on initial sales around 1.5~1.6 (so 3.6mil total initial budget) FOW got 4 and 3 years ago is more than enough for a game. Especially since over 80% of the initial release scenes were done before the kickstarter went up, yet in content are barely at the end of Act 1 out of 5 of those comparisons.
Naturally didnt include studio costs in the comparison because FOW doesnt have a fixed studio or coverage, but are off contract and work from home.
