*insert ah shit here we go again gif here*

For folks with such negative thoughts on the game, y’all sure do keep coming back to it for more than a year and change, and 4 major updates in. Guess hate fucking is one of your kinks :p

Way too much to quote, so I’ll just run off the usual stuff.

Mass Effect/XCOM with porn - Never claimed by the studio, mainly a headline from articles written about it. If you looked at the initial trailer, early dev diaries, or even beta gameplay, you’d have seen what you were getting. Ship combat ala bullet hell shooters, and tactical RPG more akin to Final Fantasy Tactics than XCOM. The comparison simply comes from those two franchises being popular and also featuring aliens.

Sex/Pandora and its place in the story -
Something that’s been gone over numerous times, so I’ll reiterate, I was not pleased with Pandora when it initially dropped, as were many people. Plenty of people here and on the discord server had made their thoughts on the matter.

But that is not something that will be addressed immediately. Or rather it can’t be at this point. Given how much work already went into it, it would be a large setback in time and work to do the promised overhaul now. This is why I believe the way the scenes released changed from everyone getting a couple, to just the newest lady. More effort can be shown in Sova and Fortune’s scenes. If you can’t see the difference, then you probably should get off the thread then.

Scene variety - This is only by nature of early access, as mentioned recently. There should be a greater spread in kinks by the time every scene is available to unlock. Will every scene do something for you? Of course not, but I doubt any game has that potential. Even in some of my other favorite smut games, there will be girls I will ignore or not care to see their scenes. We all have our preferences. And no matter which way the scenes went, be it just humanoid or monster based, someone would still be complaining about something, be it their kinks not being in yet, or that a certain girl hasn’t done a specific thing yet.

As an extra tidbit for the ones not doing all the planets, you really ought to. Even if you’re not spending the points, you are getting materials for mantic creation and ship upgrades, as well as building the devotion bar. The devotion quests, when added, will more than likely require a maxed meter. Akin to the loyalty quests of Me2 (the only comparison this game really has had), they’ll be personal journeys with each gal, culminating in a multiple minute long cinematic lovemaking scene. Minus that silly fade to black when the good stuff occurs :devilish:

This’ll likely be what makes or breaks the game for many of y’all, so we’ll have to wait and see. But for those that want to do the math, 3-4 minute scenes multiplied by 10 girls is gonna equal a very spicy compilation one day

NTR - not a thing. It’s a polyamorous harem. The devs already made a statement on it back in the Reddit Q and A. Some people took the waifu term far too literal, and not as a clear joke on the term. The only one in the game that even got a girl stolen is the bad guy you offed in the beginning of the game.

And for that one person claiming they got banned for asking for a skip feature…no you didn’t. Others were asking for methods of making the game easier too. Some with actual disabilities that made playing the space combat difficult. You wouldn’t have gotten banned unless you were doing monumentally against the rules, as the punishments scale from warnings to mutes, to kicks, to temp bans, and then full ones.

This game isn’t perfect, no game is. And FOW isn’t a one genre developer. They were known for certain big films, but that shouldn’t exclude the more vanilla and comedic work they’ve done. The tone of the game was expressed right in the initial trailer, referring to the Captain as a loser of no significance whatsoever. So naturally he isn’t gonna feel like a main character. But he is piloting the ship (the waifus are just the copilots remember) and directing the ground forces. So he still has his value.

That’ll do for now. You may now resume your usual banter, call me a white knight, secret paid employee, mega fanboy, and so on while you continue to wait and inevitably play the next update in the new year :coffee:

Actual NTR - no?

Based on F95 definition? Sort of?
(female characters vs monsters / femle characters vs female futa characters scenes in Pandora)
Ahh, thanks. That sort of makes sense. I was a bit surprised tbh. Been playing it on Steam, and i havent seen any NTR like flags what so ever

None of the games mentioned seem better than Subverse (even in it's unfinished form). For me. And if Subverse porn content looks disconected from game to you - I don't understand how Skyrim with porn added is enjoyable to you as porn content is completely unrelated to story. Visual novels are not even actual game (unless it does have some game mechanics) - just a digital porn novels with pictures.
Skyrim has several mods, that add sexual content to the already existing storylines. For example, you have a questline for Serana, which is connected to Dawnguard expansion progress, where you get to romance her and then fuck her. The same goes for School of Winterhold, Companions, etc. Then you have the characters as sexual partners. You can either ask them for sex or they do if you haven't slept with them for some time. The biggest one is called "Amorous Adventures". There is more mods for individual quest "expansions". You can also have children with NPCs, and some of them even have related quests. There is plenty of mods, that add all things sexual in a very organic way.

Checked out "Amorous Adventures" - to be fair, it does look well integrated. I'll have to return to Skyrim one day - but I really dread the experience of downloading and installing all the mods and making it work correctly.

the only thing i would consider NTR in this game, would be that YOU "cucked" the first bad guy by rescuing DEMI from him before he could "test her out" and even that is kept in a more comedic tone and isn't tied to any sex scene.

everyone on the ship is basically getting it on with everyone/everything like a big orgy (except for dallick, i hope my bro gets some too in future updates)

Are you for real right now? You're gonna go with the tired cliche of "if you hate it so much, why do you come back?" ?? As if the answer wasn't given a thousand times over already, but here we go again... I personally keep coming back because I was one of the morons that actually bought the game, and would like to see that at some point, what I got for the cash is actually worth it. It's not because 10 or 20 dollars is such a big amount, it's because I feel like a fool for buying it, I'm insulted by my own stupidity for "doing the right thing". THAT is why I keep coming back.
Also yeah, for the amount of PR you're doing for FOW, if you're not being paid - I honestly feel sorry for you.

People comment in this thread for the same reason you slow down when you see a car crash on the side of the road.
It’s more like they keep watching, expecting a crash, and it hasn’t happened yet, and they’re struggling to keep their eyes open because they’re convinced it’ll happen any moment now.

3 years in.

Google "Wabbajack" for Skyrim modding. In particular, the Licentia modlist. Wabbajack is an automated tool that basically does everything for you. It still takes all day to download/install, so be prepared for that. But it handles the hard work like compatibility, and since it's automated, you can just go do something else while it does its thing.
