That's all right now - even the latest patch version (0.1.3) doesn't have additional story content, just bug fixes and the like.

Whilst Sengoku Rance, and most Alicesoft games are fun the quality hentai department is severely lacking
I'm having trouble installing I've downloaded all the parts alongside the crack to go around steam, every time I try to extract all the files it says I'm missing data

It's more like "Do you want a bit of game with your PORN", or do you want a bit of porn with your GAME"...
People made up their mind about what the "GAME" should have been before it was released and got disappointed, but that is on them. Hype and to high expectations is never good.

Me personally I saw the writing on the wall.
When I saw it was a studioFOW property and I know I dislike 99% of their works I was ready to ignore the project. When they said, they were targeting more mainstream appeal, I thought I might as well pay attention. Hearing stuff like, mass effect with porn, and gather alien waifus and go on adventures, I thought, hey maybe this won't be so bad. Was especially hopeful with the designs of the girls.
Then I saw mantic content. They said they'd include it so as to not disappoint their longtime fans and so of course I thought well that's a shame. Then I heard from them that adult content is set completely separate from the main game because they want to let you choose which scenes to unlock, and I realized I'd never be happy with it. Seriously, who would want to romance a girl who fucks a dog in her spare time.
They're just cowards.
They were too scared of their own sexual proclivities to make it a part of the main narrative. If they were honest about their own desires, I would've ignored the game entirely, just like other NTR/Bestiality and their other works. But no, they caved to fan pressure knowing entirely they weren't on board with making a game with general appeal in sexual content.
They focused their efforts on to non-erotic elements because they as designers couldn't design their games around the sexual content, in a way where interacting with the sexual content was a part of playing the game.

What's the most disappointing about this whole situation though is the fan reaction.
So many fans are extremely disappointed and angry.
I'm just here thinking... how.
How did they not see this coming?
This all came from information they themselves gave as the game was going through its development process.
Everyone had full access to StudioFOW's prior works so everyone should know where they are sexually.
Nothing about the EA is a surprise. Literally nothing, but the SHOCK the fans have is insane. I'm just learning that consumers really can be quite stupid.
It's an Unreal Engine 4 game with custom 3D models, voice acting, and good UI design.
It's really high quality in general presentation, and that should definitely be respected.

Your own game got a "rape tag" that is content not allowed on Patreon, would you be a coward and roll over for Patreon, if got called out on it, or stand up for your project?
Or people play your game and doesn't want the rape stuff, is it optional? Give players a option to pick what scenes they want to unlock rather than force content on them they would just shut down the game over is just sensible. Just look at how fast threads descend into a dumpsterfire over ntr vs no ntr in many games where "suddenly ntr".....
Afaik the Mass Effect reference was to "Mass Effect like exploration", which it do have. How the Waifu loyality mission/quests and rewards end up, yet to be seen.

You're trying to make it complicated when it's stupid simple.
You make the game you want to make.
Whether people come to play or not depends on their tastes.
If they like your content they'll support you. If they don't they'll ignore you.
If you try to cater to everyone, your content will be diluted and less people will like your game.

For imagination, imagine a game that has 10 scenes.
Let's say you're a normal aggressive guy who likes aggressive scenes where guys take the lead with women.
That game with 10 scenes is trying to appeal to "everyone" though.
Half the scenes in the game are gay, so for you you only have 5 scenes that could do anything for you.
Half of those heterosexual scenes are scenes with beasts so you have 2.5.
Half of those 2.5 human scenes, are male assertive so at the end of the day that game that has 6 scenes really only has 1.25 scenes you'd even enjoy. Out of 10.
You want to know how to avoid this?
Just make the content you as the developer wants to make.
If you like rape, then put in rape. Rape fans will go to your game.
If you like normal sex then make it normal.
Trying to appeal to everyone dilutes the game.

It also ruins the consistency of the sexual experience.
Femdom games have game systems that make the game feel like femdom. The sexual elements are actually present in the way the game plays. Maledom games have the same thing.
If you try to appeal for everyone, you can't design the sexual experience into the game itself.
That's what happened to me.
I'm not trying to rely on patreon funding so I kept the game as it is and just removed offending content from patreon.

When you turn into an actual game studio, you want to try reach as many as possible, you run a business after all. Have your players/audience pick their own content type in an adult game make sense when release on such a platform for the mainstream. You already make a game for the niche market. Why break it down even further to just target a small audience of that niche market?
You rolled over for Patreon and changed your creation. Isn't that being cowardly?

You can't even apply that logic to normal AAA games and have it make sense, or everyone would be making looter shooters.

The first one will show us how often player can expect a content update and also how much content Studio Fow can bring in during that time.
The Second one will show us how they will improve the pandora system.

Welcome to Outriders, the next looter shooter... You where saying? How did Amazon's looter shooter fare? Oh yeah... it didn't... How about Anthem? Issue isn't making yet another looter shooter, the issue is they make CRAP GAMES, regardless of what it is. Modern day AAA games is all about put a straw into your pocket. Everyone out to make the "next" Fortnite, or Candy Crush, or whatever.
How many "adult" games on this site just follow the same formula? Very few actually bring something original to the table or a story that at least make you raise your eyebrows.
