its naive to think that milking this project hasn't crossed FOWs mind. They gain nothing by completing this project as tight as possible and move to next project, because they will never be able to capture the same hype 2nd time.

I am not complaining though. I am getting it for free.
The "game" is average.
The "porn-game" is certainly below average.

Yeah, those Call of duty creators... was no point in create more call of duty after the first game, was nothing to be made from that.. right? :p
not nothing. but certainly less.
If you got the hypest (?) product around, it behooves you to stick with it till it is dry rather than experimenting with a new project.

You realistically think they will ever get this much money again if they kickstart their new project ?

If you make a good game, people will take a chance on your next game.

Btw... Call of duty Warzone makes an estimate of 5.2 mill USD per day.... who is this LESS you talk about :p
Fellow sir, why are you comparing one of the most largest successful game franchise in the history with a porn game ?
also, IF you make a good game people will take chances on your next project. The fact that we are even discussing this means Subverse quality is questionable. I would love to see them do a No Mans Sky with this game but till then,...they will milk it on which they are not alone to do.

How are they going to milk it? It's in their best interest to complete it and release updates towards that goal. That is how they going to sell copies on steam. Also compare Subverse with No man sky is silly. The later got released as a FULL GAME. But it was "over sold" on features that wasn't even in the game. Subverse in early access with just a small part of the game released so far. Big difference that.

I mean...if they milked it, I doubt anyone would sign up for their future support site. Which would hurt them in the long run.

Also if they wanted to milk it, they'd have made the starting price the default 60 'AAA' cost.

Not even FOW are bold enough to charge 60 bucks for any game, yet alone this one.

Because whatever Subverse might be, it definetly is not a AAA Title. At least not in the current state it is in.

That's because you assume they have real leadership to take into consideration the future. This is basic stuff you see in general with crowd funded games. A total lack of leadership, no one to crack the whip so to say and if you think they don't need to have someone to drive them forward, then you are kidding yourselves.

I've seen titles that were under development for years with pretty generous sums of money being shot at them and yet the developers were always swamped with work, broke and simultaneously going in vacations more times per year than millionaires, I shit you not. I'm not saying this is the case here because I simply don't know and I really don't want to cause it might just end up pissing me off, just seeing the state of their steam forums got me pretty annoyed, where legitimate criticism is met with typical fanboy disdain. But I will say that what's happening with this game seems to follow the general formula that's heading towards the same conclusion. The lack of communication, the bullshit on their social media pages, the excuses and the army of fanboys that swarm anyone who might have any complaint concerning the game. I really want to be wrong about this.

I mean they had smart enough leadership to have enough money set aside for when they were booted off Patreon to keep their staff for several months before the Kickstarter. And they've had the same leader for this entire time. They were pulling in thousands back on Patreon, but they never dragged their feet with projects. The most memorable release I remember was Mila Red Riding Hood, which was due at the end of a particular month. When did I see the project post? 11pm in my area, on the last day of the month.

Yeah I'm called a fanboy/schill/secretly paid employee for defending them, but like, they'd done everything they've said they were gonna do. So why would this be any different?

Is this thread gonna get updated with the newers versions of the game? I'm from Germany, and we can't actually buy the game via steam here.

Yeah you're waiting on the GoG release next month. As for now there hasn't been much added since launch besides bugfixes and the gallery mode.

basically, they got 1 million on kickstarter to make the game, but they can't deliver almost any of that, so much so that so far they've only delivered 3 characters and now in october comes another one, and can we expect almost six months of waiting for another one? Damn, five years from now the game is complete
