subverse 1.0 Gog users get a s30 pak file uncompression error right during the intro
Fortunately if I copy that file from steam legit version to gog legit version it makes the problem disappear
(at least during intro)

here is a difference text file made by msdos command fc /b
if you have some dev talent you might make a fix patch out of it to change the 400k bytes that differ (pak size is 370mb)

(and no I won't go to fow discord and I don't want to know what's there - I'm happy being fully disconnected)

Actually, I started out by saying RPGM is a shit genre, then you began the personal attacks
Actually, you started out by calling me a liar:
Okay that's just a blatant lie. RPGM games have dogshit gameplay that's not any less of an obstacle to unlock porn than what Subverse does. Just saying you hate the game would be more honest than propping up another dogshit porn game genre.
(I've made it italic, bold and underlined because I know you have trouble following simple discussions)

while also using it as an excuse to not name any example to truly refute my claim
Refute your claim? There is nothing to refute. You can't even realize your claims are not facts. You just spurted a bunch of non-sense about games made with RPGM engine and how they are all somehow supposed to be inferior to Subverse.

Which doesn't elevate subverse above them.

And, technically speaking, rpgm games without fighting kinda have "better" gameplay, because it simulates the open world better then subverse does.

This may sound silly, but when a game is all about having sex, I will start expecting some gameplay or storytelling that will make sense to me; when a game provides a rather epic story and thrilling gameplay, I will begin to hope for more sex scenes with my waifu.
Subverse is more of the latter to me. I still feel slightly unsatisfied with the both the amount and the content of all those sex after finishing the seemingly biggest ero game I can possibly play. Some scenes are hot but too short, and some waifus definitely deserve more sex scenes. Comparing to all the grindings, the sexual things did seem lots less, when the combat part just gets more and more boring.

Never seen Studio FOW provide this many futa contents before, bit surprising but nice try I have to say.

It technically have some form of ntr in pandora, since there are monster sex. But its so detached, and also implied that those monsters are controlled by captain, that its only for most sensitive ntr triggered dudes.

And yes I agree with you on the adult part of the game, it should have been more and happen along the story and grinding, not something in PANDORA thing

So couple things; the GoG version is updated. No achievements yet, they’re getting them right alongside steam’s when they’re fixed

And thought I’d pass on a message from one of the devs:

“We’ve seen a lot of comments about why StudioFow making movies, and I wasn’t sure where the best place to provide an update on this would be — so I’m sharing it here, but please ping this to the correct thread.

The reality is that making cinematics costs money. On top of that, supporting the free content we provide also comes with expenses. For example, we self-host the StudioFow website and have access to all the metrics. Here’s what’s happening: the website gets tens of millions of hits every month, with millions of downloads. Maintaining the infrastructure to support this requires a lot of time, effort, and resources. And yet, the revenue generated from the website is exactly zero.

The team is working hard to raise funds to create the next movie. Despite their work being enjoyed by millions of users every month, they’ve only managed to raise around $700 per month or so to fund new projects. That's fine, that figure makes us (I mean our business) to support the team even more, but when the interest from the public is not there, things are slowing down.

So, when people kindly tell StudioFow team to fuck off and go back to making movies, as a long time supporter of the team all I can say is, please be realistic.”
I would have much more sympathy, if they have not banned many people that were criticizing this game.
I personally will not support them anymore.

Hmmmm
How much interest/support from the public did Studio FOW lose because of Subverse and how they dealt with the fans criticizing this game?

Ah I see. Since there are no severe "Betrayal" sort of things I suppose those huge perverts are just having their fun lol.

And about my view on the game, I just felt the game pitifully focused rather too much on the non-H combat grinding part, ignoring the fact that dudes are just clicking on it for an epic fap and some hard sex with hot waifus although it states that " You fuck a lot in this game. ". Can't deny fuck a lot, but just not enough.

PANDORA is just a scene gallery in actual function. However, it just takes the burden of containing almost all the sex in the gameplay. This just tears the story and the sex apart, and it just feels awkward reading some weak descriptions before watching a simple loop especially after grinding to get enough points to unlock the scenes. That's wrong experience and, obviously, far from satisfaction.

Lol, okay if you're that sensitive to equate that as a calling names, sure. I bet you're really fun to be around in real life.

I moreso called them just as shit because their supposed gameplay also gets in the way of what's important: the porn. And most of them also aren't even RPGs to begin with, just adventure games to serve as inane padding (see the oh so famous NLT games or the ones by Siren). Makes you question why they aren't just making a real adventure game in the first place instead of using an engine that's not made for it.

They've (well their 'boss' as it were) were already infamous for doing that way back when they were still making videos. They're notoriously bad about criticism. It just got more visible because they didn't only attract a very devoted niche anymore, which is bound to garner also way more criticism.

If them being cunts who can't take criticism is that big of a deal breaker to you, then you probably shouldn't have supported them in the first place. Which is my default stance on any developer here. Because, lol, pirate board. I'm not here to pay for shit, which makes all the discussions of developers milking their fans in other threads ridiculously funny to me.

Better than what they done in subverse.
Please don't use my comment to attack this game thank you, whilst I'm not particularly happy with how things turned out, at the end of the day it's not like I bought the game, so really what right do I have to complain about what they did or didn't do.

At least they finished the game, that's more then I can say for most titles. Especially ones with as much bad rep as this had in the beginning right through to the end

I know there are worse examples, but we shouldn't lower the acceptance bar to the "well, they finished the game so no complains".

That's fair, as I said towards the beginning I'm not really happy with how the game turned out either. I just didn't want my words to be used in an unintended way. I also agree that finishing a game isn't enough to make it good nor does it give it a free pass, but honestly I didn't like the game enough to defend it properly nor did I dislike it enough to complain.
