It was always said to be a vanilla game, ergo safe. they didn't want to chance it being a dark non-con type and chance getting it removed. Given this was their sole focus and product, was better to play it safe.

They did commission some non-canon darker doujinshi as a milestone goal. One of them's by the great Butcha-U
Ik read that before good stuff that's the kind of stuff I feel like people expect from fow not the vanilla crap.
At this point if they are gonna continue to bent to steam's policy and shit I feel like we will never see the old studiofow ever again.

I think that’s a weird take. It’s not as though all of FOW’s films were in that style. Mila Red Riding Hood is the perfect example of what Subverse came to be. Consensual sex with monsters, 4th wall breaking humor. The Zelda flick was also just a consensual bit. And not all of the raffle shorts were non-con content. And that’s without thinking about all the silly Scout cameos throughout the early films (before fowchan ate him xD)

Also if you’ve seen the anniversary trailer they did, they’re very much hinting of their older films, there’s a cheeky joke when the DOA girls take their invite (there’s no monsters in this one, right?)

Rip what about their disc server no info from there as well?
There server is near dead, none talks and no updates. Most of the comunity gave up or got kicked for asking and debating about the DLCs. Also they were constantly deleting posts from the backer's content aka Kickstarter DLCs, so they can avoid another backlash. The damage has already been made though. Should've stuck to making movies hopefully they will go back to making em.
But then again the greed might make em wanna make another game with kickstarter.

"I really enjoy the game, but the reality is that it feels dead. There are no updates, barely any discussions about it on forums, and even on X almost no one talks about it. Honestly, I don’t have much hope that this game will last much longer."

Cannot get it to work, it still spawn me in the very first mission each time. is there an other location for saves?
On an other hand works on Linux
How did you get it working on linux? I've been trying for a while with lutris. I'm getting a shader missing and uncooked build error. I attached it to the shipping exe. Weirdly when I double click the shipping exe instead of using lutris it opens in a black window with audio only. Running with Proton GE latest.

Edit: Sorry ignore me I saw your earlier post and got it working

no worries : Also I think you can now use lastest proton with ntsync, if you've got a kernel that support it, not sure it will be of much gain in this kinda game, but it does on heavy ones. Note that I tend to stay on X11 but with lastest proton wayland should be ok too.

I like me some grid combat games, this one's is bare bones but not awful.
if they can take some inspiration from something 40K: Mechanicus' combat and upgrading systems next time, the game would be legendary.
Porn Mechanicus would be fucking sick. People love Mechanicus. People love smut.
make Smut Mechanicus, FOW.

I was hoping the Q4 update would add more scenes for existing characters but that doesn't seem to be happening.

What's the difference between the release version and v1.1.1? I couldn't find a save file for the newest version here so I downloaded the previous version instead.

Sorry I'm kind of a noob when it comes to linux I've only switched over from windows pretty recently. I've been having some random freezes with "sorceress tale" and I don't think it's my hardware. It's usually only when there are enemies. What is ntsync? And how would I know if my kernal supports it? I'm on arch linux with hyprland. Right now for games on f95 on lutris I've just been using runners (wine versions) mostly at random and turning dxvk on and off to see what runs the game best. Is that what you're supposed to do?

It's a bit off-topic and it lacks info. I'll try to answer.
if you have ntsync as a module, you could use "lsmod", if it's not a module but in kernel best would be to check the .config of the kernel.
-ntsync is on 6.14-Rc1 kernels onward, but 6.15 on some distrib. (you could compile it before but not a full version) and needs proton or wine above 10.10 for it to be fully operational on both 32 and 64 bits games. Very basically, it exposes some windows thingies (the "sync. primitives") directly to the kernel and user-space, so it's faster, even faster than windows on some cases. There were a couple of others before, fsync, esync... but this last one takes the things to a whole new level.
(not for you, since you're on hyprland, can be useful to sb else) -if you are on X11 and plasma, you may want to disable the "compositor" while gaming as it can leads weird cycles, I think it's atl+maj+f12, just redo that once done. For the same reason, you may prefer windowed fullscreen, not just fullscreen ( depends on resolution + multi-screen?)
-You could also add the game in steam (the little + bottom left > non-steam game) and use steam as your launcher, that way you can have one fancy library for all your bottles and use the lastest proton-GE (there is a github for it) that has ntsync (not the kernel part, mind you) already in.
-if you have the pb only on sorceress tales (I'l ltry checking later, didn't run it for a while), the game may be badly optimised.
-Wayland/hyprland is still new, some guys have some luck with it with some GPU, some don't : I am in this categor, with an AMD's GPU, I do have some wayland only PC, those with only the intel CPU, but otherwise atm, I'll stick to X11 for gaming, which is a bummer 'cause I want "waydroid" and it's even more of a hassle to make it run on X11. I'd recommend you go X11 for gaming? You just need to logoff and relog into wayland if it's actually needed (for security reasons?). Otherwise, you loose all the good tools, like tdrop, xdotool... The dev. is going faster, so wayland may be more viable in even less than a year but right now...
PS : I mean wayland even have a hard time remembering the windows' positioning...

Thanks so much for the in depth reply. Honestly I don't understand a lot of it but I'll do some research base on what you've said. Lmk on the sorceress tale thread if you ever find you set up for that game.
