Redownloading everything is the life of a pirate. You don't want to deal with that, feel free to actually support the studio by buying the game (if you're able to and your place of living allows for it)
The 0.8.2 version has been out for quite a while actually, made a torrent for it on 2/10/2023 so more than a month ago, soon to be 2.

I'd wait. Unless something changed 1.0 release will require a new blank save and nothing from pre 1.0 will carry over so you'll have to regrind everything again. Also stated earlier there are no devotion rewards till the 1.0 release.
No, each devotion update will be 2 ladies each, so presumably we'll be going to 0.84 and so on til 0.9 which should add the final waifu FOW-chan, then the remainder of the story. So I'd wager its another year or so to wait depending.

The thing with Subverse is that it's tricky with how we're supposed to judge it. On one hand, it's just a porn game being peddled as a full-fledged space themed Shoot-em-up + Turn-based combat game, but the roots of the game is literally about porn. It wasnt destined for a release like that. But if we're going off of what FOW wants then it's a mediocre game. There's barely any content, most of which is repetitive, and the scene viewer is cool and all, but it's something I could probably find on Newgrounds. Subverse is probably one of the coolest porn games out there, but it's just not the same as a game with porn.Yes..its kinda what they got funded for.

I don't know what people were expecting, as a game there are walls around how you're gonna have the smut. Its not like Treasure of Nadia where all the smut is interpolated with the story, because all of those scenes are generally vanilla. Whereas Subverse is all over in terms of kinks. I doubt everyone is hankering to see Sova pegging the Captain. I think they made the right decision in keeping the majority of the content within user-chosen unlocks. The ones you do see are within the story, are quite wholesome and given full context and dialogue. They even added teasers beforehand for each scene that didn't exist at the initial version.
