I don't understand this game, these guys are known for super hardcore over 30 minute videos of gangbang and animals and what not. yet they focus on this game that no one likes for some reason because people keep arguing the combat and overall game isn't good enough. so why put out only short looped gifs? the porn aspect is what they were best known for. why does it suffer for a game that people only complain about?

This is a major problem in almost every adult-game developer. They spend too much time and resources on gameplay and forget the main selling point.

They opted to release the game in 'chapters' instead of delaying it even more. Now that they got over one million dollars from kickstarter, they are stuck to developing this until the end.

If you're a FOW fan then you'll know what to expect. They talk about waifus and etc, but it's not. It's just an excuse to throw together a bunch of sex scenes (which are VERY short loops). I've yet to figure out why the Captain exists. The girls seem to do just fine without him, and that's why it sux. Cause you're supposed to be able to interpose yourself onto the Captain, but he's so useless he doesn't even get an avatar for the ground combat. He's supposed to be in the F3nix, but... yeah... no.

The in-game Exposition (Soooo much boner-killing exposition) alleges he's right there fighting, but you pick a "waifu" (more like casual fuck-buddy) and three mantics. NO captain.

The game is trying to be funny (like Deadpool), but interrupts the actual game for needless exposition. The combat quickly becomes so hard you'll forget it's a porn game. So hard it's not worth the 3 second loops of porn.

The Captain says in CANON he doesn't want to get cucked, but half the scenes in PANDORA are his "Waifus" getting boinked by every penis EXCEPT his. That's NOT a waifu.

For better sex scenes, I recommend the devs download the top rated on this site and get some inspiration. Or use some of the loops of their OWN animations and make longer in-game sex cinematics.

Ela wants sex in the grand council room and we're barely able to get a stiffy before we're thrown into a long battle royale. I've seen a werewolf eat a girl's butthole, FOW. You couldn't be bothered to make an actual sex cinematic there, FOW? The whole chapter was leading up to this sex scene! The WHOLE chapter! Get a few seconds of the same loop and a LONG battle.

I can't wait for that three color ending. Which will probably be a mass orgy. Not a harem ending of the Captain being pleasured endlessly, but him being thrown to the background while the girls are taken by anything with a phallus. Right before the credits roll, the Captain (unseen up to this point) will pop up and declare his joy, like he had anything to the orgasms...


I wish they'd spend more time making sex scenes (not the pandora) instead of Starcraft 1 talking heads.

I agree with everything you wrote. I didn't trust them and wanted to wait and see. What they'd bring to the table before buying the game. I'm glad I didn't and it looks like I never will. Why couldn't they just be honest? It's a game for cucks that are into bestiality. They should sell it as Cuckverse. No one would be confused and angry and they could build a fanbase from people who are into the cucking aspect. The women are not waifus as you noted. The game doesn't look like, it'll ever really cater to that fantasy. That the MC is so distant even in the actual gameplay. Is so far removed, from what it should, have been.

It was staged that the Pandora system would be updated sometime AFTER this release.

so if you were expecting anything monumentally different in such a short amount of time, you didn’t read the dev diaries.

and it bears repeating that it’s a game first, that has to be rock solid, the smut could easily be redone based on feedback, but the story and gameplay has to be there first.

I also was a bit disappointed with the explicit content in the game. What you have to keep in mind is that the Pandora scenes are NOT gifs/videos. This might sound like a technicality but ingame scenes and prerendered scenes are quite different. It would be nice to:
a) allow more interaction in Pandora and
b) have cutscenes with sex in it!
Point a will come with future updates as I understood it but point b is something I really don't get. StudioFOW has produced hours of such content; not doing it in this game (that has a lot of cutscenes) is really a missed opportunity. Sure, animating spaceships is easier than animating people but naughty sex is what players expect of them (and not just talking about it). Guess they wanted every sex scene to be interactive.

If your only focus is the unlockable scenes in Pandora.... sure those 50 new clips is all. If you look at the game as whole with story missions, side missions, new character introduction etc. Adding quite a lot more to the GAME. For most parts with all games, it's the loud minority that make the most noise. Do yourself a favor and try the game yourself.

You guys are too harsh with this game, it's their first plus there are more animated sex scenes than in any games out there and the game is only on early access.

I don't really care about the fact the Captain doesn't get the chicks for him only, it would be boring otherwise, I mean it's Studio FOW and there are dozens of alien races out there plus the girls are total depraved, who doesn't enjoy seeing a girl getting railed by a giant alien dick honestly ? (tbh i just feel like this game is just getting shit on by the anti-NTR crowd when the game doesn't even actually feel like NTR)

The things that bother me is that sex scenes only happen in PANDORA, imo you should be able to resquest sex scenes from the girls directly, for example there is Killi behind the bar, bam you request sex from her. Main story need to have sex scutscenes too (the council porn shooting was the first step into that direction maybe ?). Scenes in PANDORA don't have any dialogues, only a brief summary, it would be for the best to have an introduction between the parties with a context leading to that sex scene plus some dialogues during the scene.

The gallery style porno shoot for Pandora is a neat idea, some of the scenes already in the game do seem to have a theme and relation to eachother, the first few I can think of the top of my head or the Lilly ones involving tentacles, there definitely seems to be a progression there. I assume as they add more scenes, they will flow into eachother more and more and a narrative can be built. I also imagine it won't be hard for them to create transition animations to link the scenes together, for example position changes and the like, they may also polish up the work so a free moving camera is possible without breaking everything. Time will tell I guess, I'm going to be honest, I spend most my time doing shmup and grid combat anyway, I enjoy this as a video game, so perhaps that's why I'm not super butthurt about the Pandora system like a lot of people are.

It's a difficult one. I do think people are overly harsh on this title because of the hype it generated. It was never going to be a fully fledged epic with adult scenes. I think most people expected the next mass effect, but a game like that has a team 10 times the size of studioFOW and they just inflated their hopes too high. It almost fashionable to bash this game currently.

For what it's worth, I utterly adore this game. Yes the gameplay is a bit repetitive, but the grind is enjoyable in a sort of "collectathon" way. I enjoy raising up the devotion to access PP to buy more scenes. Would I have liked the scenes to have been implemented into the story and gameplay better? Sure! Do I want longer scenes? Sure! But I will say that the scenes that are there are incredibly high quality and poles apart from some of the higher rated titles on this website. I love things like Our Red String, Summertime Saga, What a Legend, you know, the usual! But I still hold Subverse above all of them from the scenes alone. They're absolutely excellent! Much better than the usual still scenes and Daz3D models (or even worse, Honey Select or Koikatsu) and the team clearly put a lot of time into creating wonderful unique characters.

It's still early access. There's still time master this product. And in all honesty we should be supporting and protecting a project like this, because if it kicks off properly it proves that adult content in games is a profitable avenue for companies to pursue. I backed this on kickstarter and will continue to back and support this game throughout its development.
