Sorry, if my original post on the stories and spoilers connection to Succubus Quest sparks this debates online. T_T

Here's a text file version of that same guide with a little bit more added by me if you do get stuck after following the original guide. Anyone is free to add onto it with tips and such. Obvious spoiler
Where can I find Elfriede? I saw somewhere in the comments that she was at the beginning, but I did not find her. Or is she in other locations? Pool or desert?

First, writers have creative license to do whatever they want with their characters. If this game had OG succubi they wouldn't actually be attractive.
Second, I wasn't disputing any of that.

None of what you just said contradicts anything I originally stated.
The Japanese depictions are the closest to that and yet still alluring. Yes, about what you said. I'll be frank, it was insultingly bad. Your synopsis was on-par with saying Final Fantasy VII's lore was just background for an amnesiac and spiky-haired friends collecting magic rocks.

Imagine if you had, indeed, started with the basic premise of succubus. Then you took that trope, explored it, flipped it on its head, and throughout that crafted your game design to fit that lore, made a game that subverted the "succubus ending" being a Game Over by making it intended story mechanic, only to be told that your lore was "just background" that your characters were just a couple of basic tropes, and:

The story wraps around that so that the player doesn't absolutely hate the girls. Because what's a porn game where the player hates the "heroines?"
...what?

At its core, Succubus Academia is a family story.
(I guess this now adds the Incest tag?) XD

I think if anything that's an indication that Succubus Academy isn't the standard fare given context via in-game lore exposition barf (of the "don't hit A too fast or you might miss something vital!" schools of design), but rather another that will inspire developing the same level or greater polish in the future.

Context is important, but the actual events of the story shouldn't be superseded by context in my opinion.

If in FFVII your protagonists went and just... murdered random civilians, raped people, and ate them, there is no amount of narrative context that'll change those extremely direct and purposeful actions by the point of the developer.

I never said.
"Ignore all the context, the direct events are all that matter."

I said,
"All the digging to understand the narrative at the end I feel shouldn't take away from what happens in the game."

You're attributing malice and a lack of desire for understanding to a criticism I make about the game's content delivery and focus.

This is exactly what I mean.

Back to the Final Fantasy VII analogy it's basically like, you find out that the heroes are raping, and murdering seemingly innocent people, but in reality it was all a dream, and all the people you thought were innocent, just had a past life with a demon yada yada.

Doesn't take away from the direct events that happen in the story, and I don't think that understanding should supersede that.
Also, that rationale only exists then so that they can have "murdering innocents" and then justify its existence in the game in a way that you don't hate the murderers.

You keep doubling back on "how it works" and my entire criticism was that it just exists that way in order to craft an environment where pretty much innocent people get merced by succubi with no clue what's going on.

No extra clarification in terms of the narrative changes that.

The men in the game are clueless. They have no clue what's going on.
They are put in an unwinnable situation where they have to die. Some have romantic feelings for the girls that kill them, as those girls are seen fucking other men to death, and they eventually die to them.

That's how you experience the game.

And this criticism is pretty light. It's not even an attack.
Some guys like the idea of just dying to super hot chicks or whatever. That's their fetish just like the creators I guess.

In the basement, room on top
I think it's that descent into the basement? I saw in the guide that an explosive barrel was needed, I found one in the forest, but with its help I blew up the passage with a lever. There was a door behind the passage that I can't get through, I'm not deep enough in the dream (something like that is written) and the lever doesn't work anymore.
Please tell me what I did wrong. 1670337307889.png

So, wait, I don't understand. Does this game have New Game+? Otherwise, how to open the hatch and go fight with Ayumu, until the first death. But since it's an RPGM, it's likely that New Game+ is there. It remains to be seen if the ax will be preserved when switching to a new game... Thanks for the help.

You are mixing things up. You can only get new weapons from defeating drifter enemies. The Axe is a key item that is NOT a weapon. You need the axe to go into the basement where the gallery is.

There are 2 kinds of new game plus here. The story kind, Pfks will transfer your protagonist belonging to the next "sacrifice" protagonist. Everything including items will carry over.

True new game plus is only available when you fulfill the condition and complete the True Ending.

Save up some money and buy the axe.

Sorry, SQDT returned after a long time with a game of their own.
It kinda caught me off-guard so I played it, thought that it was a Collab from MSQ/Rhapsodia/Prison, only to found out that there is a hidden connection to the previous game Succubus Quest. As someone that love story/lore on the "BlackSouls" level, I hella dig through the game to find the story.
I posted the story because Succubus Quest has no translation (2005) so I kinda went overboard. Next thing, we have the debate on the story and narrative. Do enjoy the game, do not let the debate stop anyone. NNN is over so now it is DDD.
