It's not that he doesn't know what he's doing. I just think this game doesn't really stand on it's own is all. Especially not compared to the main series. Honestly this feels more like a crappy fanservice game than a side story for the main canon. It's not the end of the world. But I'm feeling hard pressed to hide my disappointment. I'll be honest .. the game feels lazy, throwaway.
I'm not sure what to think about the game too. I decided to not argue that much as long as the main game keeps its quality standards.^^

Well, just like that meme, that's your opinion. And I respect it.

I received much praise from people for the story. Some consider WS better than the main series, story-wise.
You are not alone in your journey, you have a personality (that pleased some people), the game is less linear, etc.

A warning, though. If you wish to become a developer one day, you might need to try better wording to express what you think of another developer game. This "sucks", this is "laughable", this is "trash", will make you come up just as a dick and many developers will just turn off anything you say. If you care about such things, that is.

Regardless, I wish you the best and good luck on your project.

I love the maps in this. Possibly some of the best RPG maker maps I've seen. The hard work is apparent and even with the themes. Great work!

I would recommend to make the combat easier.

The combat becomes much easier if you:
-Go to the school of magic and accept the quest.
-Then go to the ancient ruins to summon the Orc. Second summon on your party.
-Then go hunt the leaf succubus in the Oases. Defeat her 3 times and her lair will open on the map.
-Before going to her lair, prepare by buying some potions.
-Defeat her and summon your first Leaf Succubus. (At this point you become a powerhouse).

Thanks for playing!

I already did that. Honestly it surprises me how sensitive you are because I used the word crappy instead of low quality. I didn't once use any of the terms you describe. If you really dismiss everything I've said because of one word then that's your problem to deal with not mine.

I'd also suggest you don't respond to criticism of your GAME in any form by personally insulting people. The implication of your message is. You're being a dick so why should I have to listen to anything you say? Pot calling the kettle black much ...

-I'm not sensitive, I'm on this site for years now, and I read comments that were pure hate. If I was I'd have left a long time ago.

-I didn't insulted you. I said if you go with these wordings, that looks like you are attacking the game, to another developer they might disregard anything you said. I did say you might come up just as a "dick". There are better ways of phrasing your thoughts, especially when you talk with another developer. "this game should never have existed" is not one of them.

-If you want to become a developer this is the first thing you learn. You don't see other developers attacking each other. It will sound like "Look at these plebs! Trying to do something that my product clearly does it better!".

Anyway, this is kind of a waste of time. Thank you for taking your time to write your thoughts, I read them. My suggestion was just: use better phrasing when giving your opinion, especially when you want to become a developer yourself.

You really had to go out of your way to criticize a content creator just to tell him how you don't like his work didn't you...
This is literally an indie H game bro, i mean how sad you must be to bring unproductive criticsm, if you want a tripele A game with a complex plot and a revolutionary gameplay you should be looking somewhere else...

Played through a good bit of the game, so here's my feedback. First, the good bits.

1) The story and world building is great, as is the map design. I'm looking forward to what else will possibly be in the town later on, or even in later towns.

2) Despite being a different artist from Succubus Covenant, I can definitely appreciate this art style just fine.

3) The scenes are good, if a bit repetitive after the first couple of climaxes.

And now for the bits I didn't care so much for.

1) Combat is a slog, no two ways about it. The animations take forever, after any fights with human males you have to manually skip the post-combat heal, and then the fights in general feel like they last a bit too long. Even with a full party, it tends to take 3 turns to finally finish off enemies. I'm also not actually sure what the status effect the Dirty Fighting attack the bandits can do actually does. The poison and paralysis effects were pretty easy to get, but I have no clue what the DF attack is even trying to do. Finally, magic attacks should be able to crit. I sometimes saw my physical attacks doing well over 80 damage at the start of the game, so I have to assume that's because the physical attack got a critical hit. Spells on the other hand seem reliable since they can't miss like normal attacks (at least as far as I can tell), but their damage is really low considering you're giving up MP to use them.

2) Grinding takes a good while, and equipment doesn't seem to help improve things that much. One thing that would've helped early on is if I'd have known without looking in this thread that I can sell the essence items with no worry. I actually figured I'd need to save it to do some sort of summon later on, so I hoarded it at first.

3) Conversations with the merchants need a flag set after the first time you've talked to them. The flavour text around them the first time is great, but after that there's no reason for the intro text all over again, not to mention the intro is quite a few frames of text per each merchant, so it tends to add up in time spent.

4) I'd honestly prefer if there was a single target heal added as a second lowest tier spell in the plant magic school. Often times after a fight the reason I need to heal isn't due to all 3 characters taking a beating, it's because a single character got targeted by bad RNG. I realize potions exist, but I'm a penny pinching person, so whenever I got too injured, I'd usually take the time to slog my way all the way back to the ziggurat, and then get the free healing there. I wanted to get upgrades since I figured they'd actually be somewhat impactful, but they were a bit disappointing.

5) SP should work similar to how MGQ Paradox does it, start each fight with 50% of your cap. This way the characters like the orc and leaf succubus can actually take part in the fight early on, but they will need to take some time charging back up after. Currently SP characters just feel a bit bland since it takes them a couple of turns to get the SP for an attack, and then they fire it off once before needing to shift back to normal attacks. This plays into my first point, it makes combat slow.

I hope this feedback is useful, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of what you do with this series, Zion!

Hey, man! I really appreciated the feedback! I'll go by points that you disliked, ok?

1-Combat:
--Animation: I don't know what to say about this because it's the default animation for RPG Maker. Basically every RPG Maker game has them.
--I removed RNG from the game. To avoid becoming too easy or too hard.
--Dirty Fight makes it harder to hit. It's like throwing sand at someone.
--The magical attacks usually have some effects to them. And there are enemies who are weaker to some attacks. Fro example, the Leaf Succubus is weak against fire spells.
--This game was created in a kinda unique way. This will make your life much easier:
---As soon as you leave the Ziggurat go to the Ice school of magic.
---Get the Quest to summon the Orc
---Avoid any battles if you can in the ruin. Summon the Orc from the summoning circle.
---Grind some bandits and buy them (Kaalim and summon) a few tier 1 equipment.
---Go to the angelic ruin to get the anti acid angelic relic.
---hunt the leaf succubus
---defeat her in her lair and summon her.
---At this point you will become a powerhouse. Go defeat the mercenaries and sell their loot for money to buy better spells and items for Nemorosa as well.
--You can rest at the INN, in the village. Just 5 gold which is nothing compared to the price of the loot. No reason to go back to the Ziggurat.

2-I think I covered in 1 LOL

3-I forgot to add that. They will skip conversation next time, just like the schools of magic. :)

4-I replayed this game many times, I never had problems with money. Potions are really cheap. Specially Tier 1 and 2. And you have an INN in the village. Just 5 gold.

5-I don't know... the game felt balanced, imo. For example, there will be summons later on which will be very powerful. If you start the fight being able to use their special attacks it might make the game too easy. But I'll see what I can do. Perhaps an item later on where you can equip in your summon? Many possibilities. :)

Again, thanks for your time. I hope this makes the game easier for you in the future

I had no problem with the difficulty overall. I did the succubus fight in her lair without the ''orc'' companion, that was the hardest part. After completing the team it became omega easy, even with tier 2 equipment. Another great game :D. Ps: I'm in love with the succubus ass.

Will Succubus Covenant Generation One: The Cursed Forest Chapter 3 be followed by Succubus Covenant: Warlock Saga chapter 2?

Here you go, save at the end of a Chapter 1. At the Najja village, with Veil being in control over it.
Fairly sure that for the save to work, you have to include global.rpgsave and config.rpgsave. Because when I try to use your save, it doesn't appear in game.

Ok, i've updated that post, try it now.

But in this game the character and even the name is not only set. But he's annoying. Constantly alternating between overconfidence and cowardice.
the main character is annoying and unrelatable. He switches back and forth between being an arrogant douche and a cowardly wuss sometimes several times in the same conversation. It's really REALLY jarring. And doesn't make me identify with him at all. The "relationships" between the character and the summons are clearly meant to appeal to the exact same fetishes of pleasure domination and submission as the first game.
- The MC really is very variable in his attitude, behaves like a romcom anime MC, he's the only "comical" in the whole game, feels like he's out of place.
Come on, by the story he's a son of a tyrant and servant\slave, that's perfectly explainable as it is, when there's such a "mix of blood of a commoner and a lord" occurs. And on top of that the guy was raised as a servant, to be a servant, but the qualities inherited from the father show up sometimes, counteracting his learned behaviour.

And Kaalim is the only one showing his thoughts to the player. Ishtar also raised him to be and act confident of himself.
Except confidence is not something you are born with, you acquire through life, with experience.
Kaalim acts like he was taught to do, not like who he really was.

He was a bit scared of shedding blood for the first summon. But after the beating of the mercenaries that became nothing to him.

And he will continue to evolve as a character.

Thank you, works perfectly now. RPGM can be a bit finicky in what it allows for saves at times.

Yes, the reason why I decided to make this game was to explore a bit more of the world from another perspective.
Meanwhile Kain is working on the full chapter 3 of the main series :)

man my only problem is the designs of the succubi and others excluding main character which I m found of, I really liked the succubus covenant's style much more. I think they look more authentic and realistic,

The description of the game should be changed and the femdom tag needs to be added. The supposedly elitely trained warlock is actually a loser, a guy that is supposed to command these beings and instead just gets utterly dominated by them. It is actually pathetic. What was the even the point of playing as a warlock? This game seems to not understand what warlocks are supposed to actually do.

Experience a new take on the Succubus Covenant series as you play as a Shitty Warlock, who can't control Demons and Angels and is actually just their bitch. I honestly don't see how this was any different of a take than the other game. Even when you're supposed to be someone that can control these beings and put them in their place. You still just get shit on by them. Mc you can't show weakness to these beings, you must strong and control them! All the mc does is show weakness and gets dominated by them. It is actually nonsensical.
