Wow this takes me back, remember playing the original way back when

I don't get the inclination that some devs seemingly have of doing a complete refresh of their game. What's the upside? According to the thread this game has been in development for nigh on half a decade. Seems that with a refresh, you waste all that effort. If a dev wants to revamp some of the older content, wouldn't it be much better to do so within the original game? Keep the many years of content, update some visuals and code - and then continue with the story, and deliver your supporters the new exciting stuff they yearn for. That would seem logical, but idk maybe that's just me

My best guess would be they had something they intended to use in the old code, got to a certain point then found out that nope, it either does not work or does not work the way they want it to, tried to edit the old code and then potentially found that it was messing with other stuff, and decided that re-coding it was easier than tying to work out all the issues with the old code, and of course people over time become better coders, so that may well be part of it as well, but in the end nobody really knows apart from the dev.

There again it was originally done with a team, if that team has broken up as previously mentioned, then it may well be they are trying to decipher somebody else's code, in which case it may well be easier to re-do it than try and figure out just what the hell various things are doing or supposed to be doing but aren't. Especially if the break up was not on good terms, which may have meant the original coder took all the documentation on just what things are doing or not doing as the case may be, in which case trying to decipher that coding would be a major pain, and redoing it much easier.

Don't go in expecting much and don't be fooled by anyone that refers to the product discussed here as a game.
After you start this up don't expect anything to go anywhere.
Let's say a person walks into the room, looks at you, says "can you do me a favor," and then you don't see them for a couple years. Then let's say that same person shows up at your work, takes some money off of a table, and then disappears for several months. In both cases you'll never know what the favor was and you'll never see that money again or know what it was for.
That's the course of this game.
Confusing, delayed, unfinished, restarted, and ridiculous.

Why not?

He paused payments while he was not working on the game. Now he is working again.

He only paused it for that one month at a time after giving 4 or 5 false release dates in row. Your like the 12th person in this thread that somehow manages to think it was paused indefinitely. Out of the 18 months where he didnt release anything and kept giving fake release dates it was only 4 separate months in total he paused.

That aside, it is normal practise to delay the release for lower tiers & non supporters and not definitely not something to be complaining about.
But i see the frustration as its most likely just the same content from one of the early versions before the remake, but with one or two added CGs like v0.1 was.

I think R.nest should teach a class using Succulence 2 patron page as the perfect example of how to scam people, even tricks rando's to jump to the defence with false facts.

While we debate [R]Nest's inability to keep deadlines and milk his patrons, I updated my anime-inspired model of Serena in Honey Select 2. I slowed the walk animation so you could see the changes. I made her a more accurate stature and working on making custom textures for her outfits to give far more originality on the next update to my model.
