Alright, here we go again.
Giving myself 3 extra days just to make sure everything works and reduce the "didn't make it" list.
But, as I mentioned in the , this time there will be no delays. The update gets released no matter the state it's in. So prepare for 1 million horrible bugs, just in case.
Release Dates[0.6]:
September 14(Wednesday) - Tier 3 & 4
September 16 - Tier 2
September 19 - Tier 1(public)
There still might be one pre-release poll about Desire Tokens, on Sunday or Monday, so stay tuned.
Otherwise - I'll see you on Wednesday with the waiting room post.
P.S. One thing I learned during this long creative drought is this: If I'll ever make more games after I'm done with Succulence 2 - they'll all be short games focused on one gimmick.
Making a big sandbox game with many side-characters, mini-games and systems is too much pain to do by myself.

there you go fellas at least a good news, if you think no nut november is easy try to no nut while waiting for succulence 2

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
So it will be short before anyone asks and complains after a Patreon will provide it here.
So don't bother if you want just to complain how short it is. You will need to wait until version .07 (guess its more like .07 then 0.7)
Bug hunting for me tomorrow haha I guess its best to wait for the second version without the game breaking bugs the dev usually hide in the release :p

Cheers

I looked into his code and how he goes about making images. The whole workflow has exponential time requirement - for every pose or every clothing item added he needs a disproportionate amount of work. This kinda setup grinds itself to a halt regardless of the resources you have.

To implement everything the dev wants requires close to 20,000 images and an encyclopedia-sized codebase. That's a ~10 years worth of manhours or 120 Patreon billing cycles.

My point is the developer here punches way above his weight and gets frustrated with himself for not being able to progress according to his own plan. Yet, if he realistically stepped back, realized this is a 10-year long project, he'd be better off mind wise.

My $0.02.

The biggest issue with the last few releases has been the pre-release hype of all the new shiny things only to be gently led off a cliff for the release. Were at the point where I would rather get a bug loaded release that actually shows the work that's "supposedly" been done as opposed to having it chopped to pieces just to push something functional out.

Hopefully ill have to eat crow, but it made me pretty skeptical when I was at the "full size images + extras" tier, expecting to see the WIP or currently unimplemented and cut for download size images, but the image folders didn't contain anything more than what the release did.

this is a 10-year long project
Oh well, Xmas 2032 here we come.

Wow News on Patreon.

" In the last two days my health took a nosedive(can't sleep, no appetite, nausea, tiredness, headache), and it feels like it's getting worse by the hour. ..."

I need to know what he has at this stage.

1.) hypochondriac
2.) Immunodeficiency Disorder & Brittle bones disease
3.) lazybone-itis
4.) all of the above

I'm gonna guess it's just been lazy, clearly the fact he pauses his patrons and a little cold or a sore toe can stop him completely from working and then after recovering he finds something else that gets him another week or two off.
At least he's entertaining, what will he come out with next. :KEK:

He paused his patreon at the beginning of a month and promised to release something. Midmonth came but still nothing. In the end, he made up some excuses and couldn't release it until next month. And the cycle continues. I don't see any point of doing this.

I was a patreon of him for a long time. In my oppinion he should abandon this game if his personal life and health suffer from this. My porn addiction will bring me back here to see if he finally made progress though. A lose-lose situation. :ROFLMAO:

Well, the good news is - I managed to avoid hospitalization. Still have to be bed ridden for a while though.
But the Bad News is - no release until the end of the month.
I mentioned yesterday that I'm a stubborn old git, and this time I'm going all in.

Either the 0.6 is fully out by September 30th(with all the events that I have listed for it in my to-do list), or we have a poll about what to do with the release as a whole.
It means either hiring some help, releasing source code + all materials, or pausing the project.

I know many of you will be unhappy with the decision to not release anything yet again, but I will be more unhappy if I release it and you don't like it.
Because at that point - why do any of this?
So you'll have to bear with me one more time :)
I'll be recovering at home(and enduring a course of painful injections) and going back to work as soon as I can.

The only question is - should I post updates during my race to September 30, or should I go dark this time?
I feel like constantly promising releases and not delivering gets pretty annoying, so maybe not posting anything and quietly dropping a release on 30th(or the failure poll) will be a change of scenery.
I'll be going back to bed, I'll check on this post probably at the same time tomorrow.
Cheers.

in case you're too lazy or too icked to open his patreon page, here you go. This is a LOT harder than no nut november.

The truth is that I come here to see the new excuse of the developer.
I've given up hope of seeing a trailer for this game.
I feel that people want to see some progress, even if it has errors, but note that it is not wasting time.

La verdad es que vengo aquí a ver la nueva excusa del desarrollador.
He perdido la esperanza de ver un avance de este juego.
Siento que las personas quieren ver algún avance, aunque tenga errores pero observar que no esta perdiendo el tiempo.

To the person who is saying this is a 10 year project it's not, there are companies that drop games of this calibur in 6 to 12 months development time easy peasy, but I can say those companies have a full staff. Even with 1 person doing all the work it should only take 3 years tops any more and your developer is just being lazy for the more then obvious reasons.

The game so far is too short for 3 years of dev time. This isn't looking good. First game was amazing this game also shows great promise but so far I wouldn't get my hopes up. I hope he delivers because I would be so sad to see such a game fail.

It's not even been a full year in development yet if I'm not mistaken. The rut of a game usually takes a 90% of the development time then its polish, add additional, repeat till finished. So this game wont be good till at least 2 more years.

Kind of a letdown considering the prior game I will admit
