This update should give you a boner. Sure gave me one anyways. However, to ensure better sessions, we need more promising fucking scenes.

The end of September or early Oct.
quite an optimist, arent ya?:HideThePain:
you do know that those "latest pixels" are the hardest ones?

though, im gonna be moderately optimistic myself, so im gonna say late October, or early November for 0.5v.

we shall see how it goes - i certainly do hope your estimation is better than mine...or at least that im not (way too) overly optimistic in my prognosis (which happens too often to my liking):BootyTime:

I'm just reporting what was said.

"We are nearing the end of the development of CH05. If everything works out well, we are realistically looking at a September/early October release. We still don't have an exact release date due to all the different variables involved, but in the next few weeks these variables will get smaller and smaller. There are roughly 300 renders remaining before we can move onto the final part of development. This includes more playtesting, editing, fixing, polish, beta testing and final touches."

I'm looking forward to the update as well but i'm not impatient. It is what it is.

these fucking renders are killing me

each is a piece of art.
Calm down and are they really? are you dying? do you need help? should I call an ambulance?

I mean, that is what they are, pieces of digital art.

September/early October release.
Eh, I guess it's a good thing my b-day is coming up. I will be able to get The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game and that should keep me nice and busy. After I play the latest update for this game, I will just wait for it to get completed. I am done playing games update by update.

I am calm lol, did you get triggered or something by my comment? We are all dying, some slower than others. Yes call them, tell them to come at your house at once, you are having another episode.

Yes they are and they are quite exquisite.

Most developers release a new update every 6-8 months depending on how much work needs to be done. So it's best not to put too much focus into when the update will release. You will be 27 one day and 30 the next. I have a couple of favorites which I follow and support.

Hello, everyone!
This week we carried on with the edits and render changes we decided on previously. Some dialogue was cut, a few renders removed, and a couple of re-renders added to the queue. There was also some crashing during rendering this week. The source behind these crashes remains to be discovered, but they luckily didn't affect anything except mental stability. Just one of those perks of working with 3D sometimes.

There was a surprising amount of fixes required for the new renders this week. That's something we'll look into in the future as the issues stemmed from the scenes themselves, but for the time being they're easily fixed in the post-processing stage.

Work on animations continued, as well as new renders. We spent some extra time focusing on a few scenes that will likely be the favorites of many in the upcoming update. There are still a couple more improvements we'd like to make on those scenes, but we'll see after we get some impressions from the beta version.

The updated script also meant that we had to rewrite some of the code. A couple of bugs also showed up on Ember after thorough playtesting, but we promptly escorted them out of the game. Ember is essentially done at this point, except for a few missing renders. They are low priority, however.

While editing this week, we were wondering how the players feel about the POV perspective we generally stick to in Summer Heat. We've been more liberal with angles and showing the main character in CH05 because some scenes are very limited by POV.

How do you feel about seeing more of the main character? Is strict POV important to you?

Other news

Earlier this week we posted the special render for August, featuring Eve. This special was a fun one to work on! They're all fun to create of course, since they're a little bit extra and different from our usual game renders. In case you missed out on Eve,

Cheers,

Robison & Npx
