You will have problems finding games with visuals as good as this.

Summer's Gone:
Story is at best medicore, lot of reworks and charcter changes, really slow development.
Yes and no, at least for me, is true the constant changes and reworks make very difficult follow the game, the dev plans hasn´t been very good, but i think the story and characters are good, of course this is my opinion and different people will have differents opinions.

I agree for the most part but that said, my old saves didn't work for Ch. 5 so I had to replay from the start and those few non-reworked renders in Ch. 2 are actually jarring to look at. It's okay that he's reworking everything but he should have done it after the game is complete and before he puts it on Steam, not between chapter updates.

But hey wrong thread, my bad.

sad 1 year for 10 animations, why make 3600 renders and 10 animations instead of make 500-1k renders and 30+ animations, its better and faster
I would choose more renders ANY day than animations. Even if there are no animations I wouldn't mind at all. With more renders for example in one scene developer can express more emotions. Especially in this VN it's so cool and fun to watch girls expressions change and to see someone in the background doing stuff (for example Eve turning the lights when Mia and MC talked about who could've steal stuff from Ms Hill) So you can whine about animations all you like.

Anims are overrated in my opinion. Same with music/sounds.

All of these add an immense feeling of quality to a game and should not be brushed aside. It's actually one of the things I like most about this game. The devs actually give a shit. The little touches of sound when specific things happen on screen, the animations in the background, the feeling of real effort.

I'm glad they do care. I just don't find those things to be that important. The story is what matters to me. If a game has all the bling and no story, I won't play it. If a game has an interesting story and also adds in the bling, that's cool. It's just not a priority to me.

Totally agree. Sound is also super important. Put some headphones on you can hear at least 4 layers of sounds sometimes even, for example: Club Freya: background from the outside (nature noises, cars etc), club ambience, club music and all of the usual sound effects (rustling of clothes, glass sounds etc) And this novel really shines at it. Some other novels sadly have just music which appears randomly with very few tracks and almost no SFX, then it really breaks immersion. So really a huuge applause to Naughty Fox for such details. Enjoy it. Love it.

I agree about animations, but the sound in this game is awesome, the ambiance of something like the air conditioner, or the sound of someone moving across the sofa, it's really good, it adds a layer of realism to the game. I'll take this game's incredible SFX over porn animations any day. But we're getting both so

Glad people like it. I mute all games and listen to my own music. I don't need or want the game's own ambience.

The problem is not audio, music, ambient affects. The problem is that 99% of the time it is utterly shit. The very...very few that get it right, sure it's good but unfortunately...it rarely is. This goes for pointless sounds of things like ringtones....stupid sex noises...annoying as fuck music (especially loading music)....and really shitty animations. Honestly, to all devs reading this, if you can't be assed or don't have the skill required, just skip them.

Good music is expensive and time consuming to find. And hard to get copyrights for adult stuff. But when it's good it greatly enhances the experience (like in movies)

I like SFX, it adds to the immersion and it's less time consuming to find and use. If you don't like it, just mute it. I also like sex sound (blowjob) but not sex voice (moan)

I prefer no animation than bad or even average ones, it breaks the immersion seeing robotic moves on a 2sec loop. But a lot of people seems to like that...
