That....would be epic. I'm not kidding, it's a fantastic idea imho. I'd gladly mod hundreds of hours in "Cougar's Book Club"
... and I would NOT put it on the German Steam...fuck them... they can read the Panda & Butterfly book.
As Season 1 will be sold as standalone, and saves ported to Season 2, Season 2 can have sexy time on Steam once Ocean has a mailing list - Given development time, chances are youngsters who saw season 1 on steam while be old enough to get season 2 when it's up on Steam
Definitely don't need to ask for another novel in the Oceanverse - 2 at a time is enough. Plus, "Courgars Book CLub" would need to expand to "Cougar's Country Club" etc once we get the golf course and the tennis club. I like it just fine as some spice added to the main dish.
Don't you think that since the "lewd" scenes of this VN were practically 2 (the moment to help vic pee and the jacuzzi moment with nami), it would have been more appropriate to leave those scenes untouched for patreon and correct them for the steam release?
If in the end when the game progresses and starts to have lewd scenes it will stop being published on steam, why remove them from the patreon version?
Season 2 will be a separate standalone, as mentioned by Ocean here, in the dev log. He also mentions he'll be changing the version of Renpy for the offical full release of Season 1 so it makes it easier going forward (more modern features means less compatibility problems for porting saves over). So Season 2 is it's own thing, Ocean will find music that can be used in porn, and will go with the full adult status on Steam. He hasn't done that yet, because he's made the decision to avoid another rework (keep the existing music he paid money for) and to get more exposure for season 1. As S2 will be separate, and he's built up enough of the world, sexy time is fine there.

Making the tierlist reminded me this scene. She might be the hottest extra I've seen in any game ever. Someone should make a tierlist for hottest extras in AVN's
P.S. I hope she's not an extra and we see more of her, a lot more of her
I don't know if we've seen Melanie as an adult yet. Geven how sharp the focus is and how similar she looks to Detective Cerrill, might this be Melanie? The fact that Ocean draws the focus to her in the scene when she's a bystander means she is important in some way at least. Random thought about Melanie: if the game is focused on healing and restoring mental balance, what if Melanie ends up as an antagonistic LI? ie the MC who finds healing and moving on too difficult finds common ground with a horrible person and stays dark and manipulative. She'd be an anti Vic character.
What are your theories on what happened to Summer? The way i understand it and how its written its that there is a chance Summer might be alive somewhere. From my memory there has been no mention of her dying. "the day summer disappeared" is often mentioned. And the thing with the floating flower dream still confuses me. Is that what actually happened on the day or is that just a thing from a dream?. One theory is that the MC refers to "summer disappearing" rather than saying she died because he pushed those memories so far down. Im so excited for the day we get to find out what actually happened although i suspect the revelation will be dark as shit.
If Summer was killed, Nika would have had closure. The fact that he doesn't know means she wasn't killed in the event. She might since have died, but that would be unknown. Nika plans on talking to Emilio to see if he can dredge up some facts to get closure. SO there will be part of the on going plot to find out what happened.
Things we know:
- Summer didn't explicitly die. All of Summer's school friends including Nia would have known, and it would have been in the news. Teens getting killed always make the news.
- Summer disappeared from all her friends, so of the parents moved away, there would be no secret from Nia who didn't talk with Nika back then, even if they kept the secret from Nika. A prominent family just up and moving to another country would be be noticed by Noji if nothing else, especially as we see she has a cougar gossip circle of the same standing as Summer's family.
- Missing teens almost always make the news, especially if they're from a prominent family that can look down on others. Summer's family were well off, snobby.
- Kidnapping definitely makes the news with snobby prominent families.
- The situation that happened caused Nika to have panic attacks - panic is flight or fight, so an actual event is most likely; SUmmer not turning up one day would most likely result in just depression without the panic attacks.
- The situation is not necessarily tied to the violent incident (when Nika was hospitalised and dropped out of society while recovering), but it could be. The violent incident could be as he went dark after Summer disappeared and got into fights. Being violent means intentional, not a car crash that caused his lungs to collapse.
Things that are plausible or known:
- Summer's family could be in witness protection because of events that happened in WiaB (or unrelated events). That would explain why Nia doesn't know what happened, and there is no news for Noji to give to Nia for closure. I think it would be related to something that happens in WiaB, as there seems to be bad blood between Noji and Katie - so there is possibly some continuity between WiaB, not just the people making cameos.
- It could be Summer's parents that are in protection and Summer has to go with them - Nika doesn't mention being questioned by cops. If both Summer and Nika witnessed the event, Nika would also have been in witness protection.
- His trauma over Summer isn't necessarily related to the violent incident. Also, teens getting almost killed/abducted/going missing all in one event? So news worthy. There would be news clipping for Nika to follow.
- Maybe Summer was abducted and Nika was present, and it was never solved. But Nami, Noji or Nia have no clue either, so there's been nothing in the media. The fact that no one knows means it's been covered up for some reason.
- Sasha had a violent incident, Bella's sister had one also. They could be unrelated, or they could all be related. The way Sasha (who has a bodyguard) looks at Nika suggests she knows him from before.
- Given that Amber doesn't react about Bella's sister (surely mom would be traumatised or explain what happened to her own daughter when Nika mentions he asked about the girl?) it does seem possible tht people in Wollust like hiding their secrets for unfathomable plot devices. So it could just be something that is a stretch.
The floating flower thing is the odd thing that makes Nika realise he's dreaming, one of those weird things brains do. I remember dreaming of a house that was all second floor with only a staircase supporting it, with grass all around. Dreaming brains are strange.
