Okay guys, it was fun, but since the Radiant fans arrived, I'm outta here, I can't stand this crowd. The curious can see for themselves what shithole they have turned the thread of their game into.

And this thread will be purged sooner or later anyway. Off to play SG.

I say he's lucky because another dev does what he did and they burn him alive. and since you mention radiant, that thread is a good example, look how they treat those devs and look how they treat ocean. and I don't even hate this game, it has its things that I don't like of course, but what bothers me is their fandom and how they treat this game as the peak of writing. It has already happened to me in several threads that I find fans of this game talking about how this game is well written and the other games are crap, that's what bothers me a little. But well, It's what it is.

Nice one, Pax! I wanted to buy the Steam release (teethgrindingly due to the bowing to the bigot political correctness idiots at Steam and Patreon) to support Ocean... Well, that is water under the bridge, I cannot buy the Steam release, unavailable despite wishlist entry. The puritans still fucked Ocean over, despite him letting them bugger him metaphorically into sanitising SG.

Steam is, sadly, out as an option for some Germans (from the various postings here, it seems like some have found a way around the Steam geoblock on SG in Germany but I have not personally had to do that so I can only go by what others offer here as alternative means for Steam access).

I do know some supporters who pick a 'price point/one month' subscription on SS or Patreon.

Once they are billed, they cancel.

It does not fix the Steam issue, but I expect the Patreon/SS version to be posted here in 1-2 days so those who desire to support Ocean with a onetime donation can.

Whatever your choice - I hope you enjoy it.

Some of the new content is funny as hell - and there is a lot more humor in the reworked chapters/scenes than there was before.

I loved WiAB when it came out, even with 2019-ish visuals, weird nipples and stuff. There was an interesing hook, all kinds of variations of girls and choices.
(Why momma doesn't speak? Why the annoying little brat is mad at my char and his sis? Is sis good or bad?)
Now, when it comes down to SG - it just feels like overly pretencious stuff with protagonist who's edgy for the sake of it and every other girl crying 'cause...ehm, they want to?
But that's not even the biggest issue. The biggest issue is that we're 5 years into development of this and we've barely gotten past an exposition.

Making a non-adult season 1 and an adult season 2 doesn't make sense. How do you expect people reacting when they see porn in the second season while they played a lewd-light season 1? The ones who bought the game on Steam and don't follow the dev.

SG took a new direction and Ocean is doing more world-building than I have seen in BaDIK.

They are different stories being told at different paces and with very different world foundations.

IMO - this means that they should be in different places in their stories (edginess for example).

i got summers gone on steam but i got it just to have it in my library what i'm looking for is when the patch and mod is ready i want to see if they change season 1 in any way but i'm not holding my breath if not then i will unstall and forget about it like other games i bought on steam.

I know how to circumvent the geoblock, but for a neutered game, where everything was done so that the idiot woke snowflakes do not get their knickers in a twist and throw a hissy fit? Hell NO! Granted the risk is not all that high, but if Steam ever gets wind of you doing something like that, they throw you out. I would risk this only for a program superimportant to me!
And this "soyveggie" version of Summer´s gone is definitely not important enough to do this.
I wanted to support Ocean and it would have been an easy, onetime way to do so with an existing account and show appreciation of his work. But, well, that is now not happening.

But my eyes allow me to see what this developer has made, and I like what I saw. While fellow critics produce only shitposts. I don't like the smell. The best they could do was AI-generated images based on Ocean's renders that still give me nightmares.

And about writing. I think Ocean's writing is good not because he is an "exceptional genius," but because others are worse. You haven't written a novel that would make me your cultist, so I have to stick with what I have.
