Do you think this game will survive until season 3 if there are no sex scenes in it? Fans from the patheon have already said that they will leave negative reviews everywhere if Ocean does not do what he promised.

I’ll be honest with you, I’ve had this game in my bookmarks for the last 3 years, but I didn’t play it until the full first season came out. Does it bother me that there were no sex scenes in the first season? No. I liked the game, I know from experience what panic attacks are like, and one of the main characters reminded me of my old love. There are intimate moments in the game, and they are intertwined with feelings, have meaning and reason. This is amazing. I am sure that Ocean will give us a lot of sensual, wonderful, erotic, sexual content. But when this will come is a big question for all of us. However, I wish Ocean to solve his problems regarding doing business in Germany; any stress greatly affects creative people and their desire to do their work.

I don't really care if there are sex scenes in the game or not. I don’t want Ocean’s fans to write bad reviews on Steam or GoG. If they do this, we'll get another abandoned game.

In this case, these are very strange “fans”. Personally, I bought the game on Steam and wrote a review after I played it a couple of times. Including additional bundles that are not really worth the price.
I think instead of lovers of banal porn there will be connoisseurs of history and visuals (and music). Well, yes, there are fewer of us, but we are cool.
So far there are no prerequisites for the game to become abandoned. The main thing is that Ocean is not imprisoned for tax evasion.

Why do you think the fans are strange? Ocean deceived the Fatans, so I understand why they behave this way. It's strange to me that Ocean continues to provoke fans, I think it's a bad idea.
The game was originally AVN, I don’t think Ocean will remake it into VN. Ocean said that he wanted to make money on the game, but you can’t earn much on VN.

Honestly I would probably prefer if the game doesn't have any sex scenes... I don't mind if they eventually happen though, it's just that I know how it feels to lose a part of yourself and how it feels to deal with the trauma and eventually overcome it, it's a slow an painful proccess... The development and healing of the MC clashes with most people would normally want from a normal Ren'Py game, which is sex... On the other hand, with enough build-up and some smart writing I don't see why a sex scene would be bad even in season 2, it all just depends on how well Ocean can deal with the story. Also, guys who would leave negative reviews everywhere shouldn't even be called fans... Summer's Gone is something pretty much unique on the spectrum of popular Ren'Py games and it would be a shame to see it get abandoned or transformed into another cheap sex VN.

You can just ignore what Alex wrote (as with most of the stuff he posts in this thread) about Oceans patreons. I am one of them, and while I don't read every comment there what I read is as positive and/or supportive as the reviews here and on Steam. Could of course be that all the highest tier patreons are bitching something like that, but that would make as much sense as the ususal Alex-post.

Yeah, the game was devoid of explicit content from the start. Only the new players could be"offended"... or trolls. Patrons know what they are getting when summer is gone.

The word “adult”, also known as the letter A in the abbreviation AVN, implies a rating of 16+. Where and who did he deceive? Moreover, if the final product does not suit someone who was expecting a seven-hour porn video in Python, then should just unsubscribe and not be “strange”.
The game remains what it was, ratings. It just became a little more mature narratively. And if you or the "fans" are unsure about the more adult scenes, there are three chapters of the prequel where you can see how he does it, that it exists and what quality it is.
Are there any game like summer gone and city of broken dreamers by quality and strong storywise?

By the way, in the plot itself there is a tendency to repeat the past in one way or another. One of these tendencies is the rejection of Nika by a parent or guardian of LI. Starting from this theory, i can speculate a little.
Bella.Amber doesn’t look like the kind of person who would interfere. But the mentioned father could very well become a thorn. However, the most important thing is that for Bella, her father’s opinion doesn’t give a damn.
Victoria.Her parents are dead. True, her sister is clearly suitable for this role. This is one of the reasons why any desire to see Victoria has been discouraged. Like, you act and behave as if Victoria is a princess, and a crowd of princes is waiting for her to give her a ride in a stroller .
Robin. Her beautiful and never controlling mother.
Sasha. Oooooh, there’s a whole series of flags. From a personal bodyguard to an entire clan.
Zara/Nessa. Well, obviously their mom will be a pain in the ass.
Nami. Nojiko sharpens her katana. I suspect there will be more splinters.
Mila. Obviously the drunk father will become a thorn.
Sonya.Her brothers
Nia. Christian (?) family.

A couple of things - they are not far into adult life, so it is natural that their parents/guardians are curious and invested in their first steps. It's interesting that Nick threatens to send Vanessa to her room at one point - really? She can drive. Being sent to her room's not the sort of punishment I'd imagine. Vanessa might not be Nick's equal (as in she is still dependent on him) but socially she is at an age to make her own mistakes and back up her words. But yeah, parent's are cautious of the kids first adult experiences in this case I guess. Amber's giving Bella slack because of what happened with Bella's sister etc.
It's an easy source of tension. In Sonya's case it will be a major plot point, I don't doubt. In Robin and Sasha's case msot likely as well. Mila, Nia and Vic? Not as much. Only if you are helping Nia and Mila reconcile with their families will it be an issue.
But I guess in a way you're likely right, as Ocean has mentioned twice how Summer's parent's disapproved of Nika, once in the flashback with Elsa, and once talking with Vic/Mila on the walk. SO parent's trash talking him will be a trigger point for his traumas.
