Yeah, I can't say she seems happy usually to be honest.

In general, she has this constant, similar to Bella, learned pose and mannerism used in social interactions. When she is alone with Robin, she looks like just a sad girl. And twice her imagination is stimulated and she starts to look like a different person. Her eyes get a shine and a real smile appears on her face. Once, when to her surprise she meets a boy who takes yoga seriously without mockery and two, when she observes jealousy from a girl in love.

It seems to me that you have to surprise her again and actually read the recommended book and then surprise her again and again and so on endlessly until we finally see the real Sasha freed from the mask of a strict and sophisticated girl from the wealthy family

After recommendations I decided to play this game. I really liked the steam version, but when I played the old version without censorship, I liked it much more. I don't understand why Ocean made a version with censorship, it is much worse and the dialogues became more boring?

future seasons will have genitalia and sex scenes, but he wanted S1 PG13 or something like that. You can still install the uncut mod over the steam version, it's linked in the OP. It's fan made, but it restores some cut animations and renders that were in the game originally, but didn't make it into the steam version.

Yes - ruined the AVN for $... because everything he needs to make the AVN is actually free...

If you think what Ocean did is trivial, he got gun shy trying to protect Summers Gone from Patreon's current AND future policies, since they like to play around with their TOS and outright ban AVNs that were fine for years... like WIAB.

He also cut a few nudity renders to try to reach a broader Steam audience.

His other AVN was outright banned from Patreon due to their most recent crusade.

The Steam version is now canon.

Season 2 will require a save game file from the canon version.

I'm happy to have This version of Summers Gone and seeing it continue versus having iPatch/branding/nudity/music license issues and losing SG too.

Well, comparing the actual Steam version with v3.5 the old game was shit, and not just because the lousy graphics it had. He didn't ruined anything. An the contrary.

Apparently, you and I have different preferences. I never look at graphics, the main thing for me is the story. I really liked the old dialogues of the gym teacher, it was always interesting what he would say next, and after the censorship he became more boring. I would prefer the old dialogues, even if they are not very decent.

Thank you! I too could not give less of a fuck about "graphics". Ch3.0 was absolutely perfect for me. On all levels. Even the models were far better imo. I'd take old Nojiko over new Nojiko in a hearbeat. I'd take old Mila over the new one in the blink of an eye! I'd take old "crackhead" Nami over the new one with the Kim Kardashian ass with no fucking hesitation.

Wouldn't wipe my ass with pretty visuals. Story and characters is why I play these things. And on that front, this new reworked version is several steps down, imo.

EDIT: Stahl's older dialogue was funnier indeed. Except for the Ayua nickname. That was neither funny nor clever. Just offensive. Everyone else's was great.

Ocean's intent is for you to play Season 1 unmodded, which leads to Season 2.

- you can play the old Ch2, and get all the dark lord energy, but that path has been abandoned and reworked, it's not going to get you to and end result.
- you can play the old Ch4, and see all the original lewds, which mostly consist of limp dick pics, or unpenetrated vaginas, there's no sex between characters, except for one grinding scene. This also won't be continued, you won't be able to use a save from this for Season 2.
- you can install the uncut mod, which is fan based, and see what a fan thinks OCean's intention should have been, but Ocean delivered Ocean's version, whether for good or bad. We have no idea whether the mod will break a save going into Season 2, or whether it will make sense with Ocean writing a new lewd scene in season 2 to directly replace the major one he cut.

Whatever anyone says, the unmodded Season 1 is what Ocean released as the canon story, regardless of any of our preferences. Everything else is a development dead end. Consider them abandoned drafts. The official release is the only one that the developer is ...developing.
