But in the end, the characters are also just "human". They have flaws and make mistakes. It's up to the player to help them change for the "better".

But I personally wouldn't want to miss out on a potentially amazing person just because of that. I'd rather invest some of my energy into her and try to help her stop smoking.

The payoff of this energy investment might be invaluable beyond estimation.

Don't get me wrong, i'll go for Bella no matter what

but she doesn't strike me as someone who would smoke but that's me. It's your story and you do with the character whatever you want, i know what i want for them too and all i can do is hope :LOL:

Just reading comments of everyone then I saw Ocean's pfp and it made me smile. I fricking love her, I'm so excited for her role this upcomming update. I wanna know her reaction to that kinky dnd games of Nadia and friends~
Also looking forward to Nadia and Mc's interactions if she's in the next update

This mindset is what makes your character building so unique! Sets you apart from all the others because you aren't afraid to make them human with real flaws and attributes instead of just clichés and fan service! Part of what drew me to Bella in the first place, when I initially thought I'd hate her (as I typically hate the stuck up rich girl cliché) was her being pretty much bi-polar. She's tormented and has actual motivation for her behavior beyond "I'm rich and hot".

Agreed 100 percent. Had that same experience with Bella. I thought I was going to hate her, and was gung ho to hate her, and by golly did Oceanlab turn me around hard with her. I really can't wait to see the other characters get the same narrative treatment Bella has gotten these first few eps.

P.S. Nami centered scenes follows closely after the Bella's though. But her time will come.

Yup I think so. Did you see Sasha and her friend at the gym when you workout with them? When you fell and your head was about to hit the floor, Sasha saved you. Sasha then look at her hand. Also when there Sasha in the scene, she is staring at you. There is something about her so it just my theory.
