Summers Gone is the inspiration and I know Ocean tells it far better than I do.Damn dude, maybe we need to put you in charge of the story. Ocean really need to include this in the game.
The remodeled Bella is mind blowing, so is Amber. This game is definitely one of the best VN I ever played. Congratulations ocean, you're creating a master piece.
Actually according to words from Ocean himself at least it seems Amber is a guaranteed LI. Go to Page 1014 and it's the second last post on the page.Summers Gone is the inspiration and I know Ocean tells it far better than I do.
I appreciate the compliment though!
My musings are about my favorite mother daughter 'team' and, since they are both LI's (Bella is a guaranteed LI while Amber is a Main LI), it is fun to wonder about what it would take for them to be a throuple.
While some throuples could include 3 somes where the two women enjoy each other as well as the MC, I don't think this would be part of the Bella/Amber throuple, particularly since this would be against Patreon's TOS. There is no patch to turn them into mother daughter - that is simply who they are.
The closest I can image Bella and Amber, in terms of a throuple, is something along the lines of the musing I just shared.
The truth is that my musings will pale in comparison to the heat Ocean will bring once some of these well developed relationships start getting physical.
Imagine tripling the heat from the couch make out session between the MC, Mila, Nami and Vic!
This also does not include the emotional weight of the MC LI relationship once he is able to consummate physical intimacy without having to bring memories of Summer into the picture to respond to a different woman.
Cheers to Ocean's great story and how it inspires all of us!
I agree with what you said about Bella, the emotion is not there anymore in some interactions, it was part of the story that was perfect the way it wasSo after taking the time to pay attention, my view on this rework has changed quite a bit. It's still a downgrade in some areas, but not nearly as much as some people here make it out to be.
To close this off, this game has quite a few issues. The rework made some things worse and a lot of things better. Fortunately, none of these problems are unfixable. I hope that Oceanlab sees some of the constructive criticism posted here, and works on fixing some of these issues(and hopefully not committing the same mistakes in the future)ღ
- Judging the rework itself, most of its errors are centred around the dialogue and scene changes. Marla was introduced as the tour guide and should have noticed MC then. Although there was a crowd there. Maybe that's the reason she didn't notice him. Cool... seems realistic enough. There are many points throughout Chapter 1 where I was like, "real people don't speak like that," but everyone here should remember that Oceans isn't a native English speaker. It's hard to translate dialogue from one language to the next whilst maintaining the same amount of emotion conveyed in the former.
- That's another thing. Emotion. The whole reason many of the audience flocked to Bella was because of her interactions with the MC. It was somewhat obvious that she was putting up a front and wasn't really a bad person. Her interactions and dialogue in the previous version did a good job of showing that. Her interactions with the MC in this new version... don't carry the same emotional weight as the previous version. In the previous version, their interactions functioned as a buildup to her confrontation with MC at the mention of her sister. You could feel the pain and raw emotion in her dialogue, and when she choked MC, we, as the audience, knew how unstable she was. Now, in this rework, the overall feel of that scene is not there. The confrontation changed too much, and not in a way that benefits their subplot. The old scene showed everyone that maybe this girl is a little unstable. The new scene didn't do as good of a job conveying that. Oceans should have just upgraded the renders/art and fixed the grammar within the dialogue. All of those changes weren't needed. At least when it comes to that scene.
- Ok, last critique. Character writing. There... aren't that many believable characters here. That's it. It wasn't as noticeable before the rework but is more noticeable now. At several points in the story, I was like, "Who does that? Why is she doing that? Why is he initiating this conversation in the shower? Did she really call him a school shooter 5 seconds after meeting him??" This is different from it being just a dialogue issue... it's more of a character issue. Some of the social interactions were just... weird. Every time I replay this game, I spot something else that's wrong or a bit odd lol. I still love it, but I can't ignore its shortcomings.
P.S: To anyone that doesn't like the rework and has something to say... please don't go overboard. Some of you guys are straight-up rude when it comes to criticism. Don't expect Oceans to listen to you or acknowledge your points if you're being a complete a-hole about it. It's all about knowing how to talk to people. Until next timeღ
Isnt it entirely possible that she is sensing an impending school shooter / mass murderer in their midst and trying to prevent it?To those interested

Can't wait to see who she really is.
EDIT: She only joins the gym and sends Robin to lure MC in if you have shown interest in Bella, if you don't Robin doesn't invite you to join them. What does that tell you?
Yeah... when you're in the shower with Jeff after the workout, and he says, seriously, that you have a "good waist line" or something like that, I was really surprised.
Bella was softened in quite a few instances. She was more of a wild card before and now she seems more grounded. This is notable in class, in the car etc. I dislike this change as I think the unpredictability gave she and MC a more interesting dynamic. Kindred spirits. Different but the same. Outcasts willing to go to extreme lengths to protect those they care about.Concerning Bella, I don't think that the fact that she doesn't strangle you anymore remove any characterization. We still can see that she is struggling, that she is sad and hurt. And the added scene, like the eyes battle or the introduction of a new character who seem to be angry at you for disrespecting Bella, when you go to her car, add some depth and immersion to the chapter.
He said he has a narrow waist but broad shoulders, hence a good body structure. He forgot to say nohomo though.Yeah... when you're in the shower with Jeff after the workout, and he says, seriously, that you have a "good waist line" or something like that, I was really surprised.
No he didn't he said a while ago the design was gonna be too complicated so it was gonna be added in 4.5 or 5 so since it waant in 4.5 I suspect it'll be in 5 before the steam release.
The changes started with Ocean removing the 'dark path' of the game. He added the 'candy girl' in the rework, so he can ask Maja where to get candy instead of looking like a psycopath (and the girl sharing the candy with him when Nami leaves was actually a cute touch). Also, lines were added where MC express how he's feeling, how he experiences his panic attacks, etc. Before that, we had no idea what was going through is mind and why he was behaving so weirdly.Bella was softened in quite a few instances. She was more of a wild card before and now she seems more grounded. Now both seem more... normal, and I don't like the change.
I disagree somewhat here. There's a significant difference in perception of a person when you think they're sad/maybe angry vs. violent and sad/angry. Somebody without the violence streak isn't somebody to be remotely afraid of. Knowing that she could go off and break you in half lent her character an air of danger and encouraged caution.Concerning Bella, I don't think that the fact that she doesn't strangle you anymore remove any characterization. We still can see that she is struggling, that she is sad and hurt.
