I posted on Discord a while ago that I'm not going to mention changes regarding the LIs anymore. Except if someone loses their LI status, which is most likely never going to be the case.

But I won't mention it anymore if someone becomes an LI, or a new LI is introduced. Sorry.

I don't judge you, I sometimes think that I couldn't spend more time here. I'm not non stop here, but computer is practically connected at least 10 hours per day. At least I'm not the whole time at it. At least two hours effective per day.

To be frank, I am at a loss for words reviewing your response but at the same time content.
A list of this kind would not dampen but, on the other hand, Mount McKinley the already heated debate.
Now, each and every one of us can continue the everlasting struggle to be the MC who "bags" the right LI.

Just completed the current version and found it really great how the story and characters are developping with their problems not being treated lightly or as a joke.
The MC mental troubles is really well portrayed and believable with his reactions making sense in this context, great job!

On second thought, as someone already mentioned, WHAT IF Summer came back?

If she is alive,then perhaps she may appear until the end of the first season,or even at the end like a big cliffhanger. It would be strange to introduce her much later. Although only the dev knows the events in advance.
But, even if she appears in the story, it is not certain that she will become the same favorite of the public as Nami or Bella. After all, Summer is popular as part of the past and the secrets around her and Nicky. However,present Summer, if she is alive- a completely new persona. And here dozens of factors will already depend on how she will be perceived. Starting from her appearance and first impression, ending with her history, character (queen or gray mouse) and even whether she had boyfriends.

This is an AVN which has no sex yet. It will be sex in the future. But renders, story, animation, characters and story are top.

Rebirth is good, but this is another level, trust me. Most people who love this game come here because of sex, but they stayed because of really good story. But if sex is your primary concern, then, no, this isn't for you...

I've played hundreds of various VN's and this one stands out as transcending the medium. It ends up feeling more like you are binging a great show on HBO rather than playing a 'porn' game. You really get invested in the characters and Ocean spends a great deal of time dialing in the atmosphere and character personalities, so you really get immersed.

His other game, Where It All Began, is semi connected to this one AND has sex in it, so it's a great way to 'ease' into Ocean's work, for fappers like us. You'll get a taste of the quality and want more, that's where Summer's Gone comes in.

If Oceanlabs does have Summer's return planned, season one is much too early for her to reappear. Just clarifying, but Season 1 only covers Chapters 1-5. MC's barely made any real progress yet, and the story's just starting. The end would also be bad because, at that point, why is she even returning? Unless SG gets a sequel or Summer gets her own game/story, her showing up in a cliffhanger at the end of the game would render MC's entire journey meaningless.

Why? If she is to return, the best time for that will probably be sometime in the middle or the latter half of the story. So somewhere between Chapters 16 and 24. At this point in the story, many things would have happened. Depending on which role she'll play and to prevent things from being rushed, this is the best point to stage her return. Not too early and not too late. Ultimately, that's how it should be; otherwise, it would drastically lower the quality of the story.

SG will actually have quite a bit of lewd content in the future; it's just that it's not a top priority at the moment. In SG, relationship building and character development come first. Now, I don't care for lewd content, but for all of you lovers that do... you can rest assured because next season will feature quite a bit of it... or so I've heard.

Beyond the many LIs(last I heard, there were no more than 10 and no less than 8), there are also going to be many "lewdable" characters(if memory serves me well, there are going to be over 20 of them). Lewd content is coming... you darlings just need to be patientღ

Agreed late stage entry would be ideal. Perhaps when MC is firmly established in his new relationship. Summer returns raising the question of who will he choose Summer or the new established LI? Or is that too obvious...

In saying that, Ocean is pretty adept, if he chose an alternative entry point, would it necessarily lower the quality of the story? I don't think that would necessarily be the case. Hard to pull off yes, but not impossible.

Sorry Bella actually annoys me but yes the writing is excellent. At the current stage in the story Victoria is my LI, such a sweetheart. Having so many incredible LIs will be a challenge for him, but I am sure his writing skills are up to it. The diversity of options will mean there is an LI for everyone's tastes, in my case three that currently stand out above the crowd.

THe whole concept of Summer needing to exist beyond a flashback is just fan service at this point. There is no reason to assume that SG will have a self contained plot. Story 1, WIAB, kicks off and sets everything in motion. I am currently guessing the Frohn's and Nika's parents died as a result of some of the weirdness that happened there. The Holgersons changed, the Zanes changed, safe to say that it truly began in that story. THe major plot arcs are linked through Ocean's entire universe. So summer might have her side of the story as a separate novel. Nothing needs to be self contained and neatly tied up at the end. A good storyteller leaves enough mystery ongoing to drive the plot forward.

Ocean has already planned (at least the major points) of 5 novels that exist in this timeline. One, WIAB sets the branches, and each other maybe follows a different split from the initial drama that set everything in motion.

I call it fan service, because we don't yet have any idea of where Ocean is going on the macro events: ie the politics behind the school, Emilio's influence beyond anime hairstyles, the abuses of wealth to grind down the oppressed poor, basically how the non-personal stuff affects all of the individual players. We've seen the bare minimum of Ocean setting up some precursors to that, so there will be some major sporting events, galas, things that will introduce more of the world. It is way to premature to drop Nika into an existential crisis because people are curious about Summer. Summer is an asset that Ocean can dangle like a carrot, maybe until chapter 31, and the third game is how the fallout of Summer reappearing plays out.

All of this is unsubstantiated, and I'd guess Ocean will keep these cards close for quite a while. Also, there's a chance the Summer reappearing breaks the story Ocean wants to explore. I think it's important to keep in mind that Ocean has mentioned Summer is in fact, gone. At least my memory says so. To have an antagonist that never appears is actually great story telling if done right.

Regards the lewds, there is a great chance that you can't get all the lewds in a single playthrough, not just the non compatible triangles; Ocean might actually make it that the path of a manwhore leads you to being ignored by everyone. It might be that faithful relationships are the only paths with meaningful lewds. It would be nice for a novel to have meaningful consequences for pulling the MC's dick out at any opportunity.

Can somebody tell me the reason why the android port I downloaded is different than my pc version? I don't know how many there are yet but Ive noticed the android version has different scenes than my pc version. Which version is the correct one and which is the older one?

Oh, there will indeed be consequences for sleeping with everyone. I remember speaking to Oceanlabs about there being consequences for certain things, like cheating and sleeping around. To make a long story short, what I got from that conversation was that there will indeed be various consequences for your actions. Players will still be able to cheat and sleep around with whomever they want, but they shouldn't be surprised when it blows up in their faces(you can lose friends and LIs over this stuff). The most any of these LIs are willing to tolerate are throuples. Anything beyond that(like trying to pursue 3+ characters simultaneously) will quickly land players on the solo route(there is a solo route for those who didn't know). Heck, even if you try pursuing two different characters simultaneously(a throuple path), it can still lead to a solo route if they're incompatible. Many of the characters in SG(not just LIs) will have very realistic reactions to The MC's actions. ETA: Also, word spreads around in-game. If you(generally speaking) cheat on someone or build up a reputation for being promiscuous, other characters will find out and act accordingly. Do with this knowledge what you willღ

One thing I love about SG is that the lives of the LIs don't revolve around The MC. They don't exist solely for him, and they don't have tunnel vision. They still have their own dreams and ambitions that they will follow throughout the game(already evident with most of them so far - examples being Mila with golf and Zara with professional sports) regardless of whether or not The MC is on their path. They're not here just to serve as The MC's sexual/romantic partners. This means that many of them probably won't be afraid to dump MC because as much as some of them may like him, their lives don't revolve around him. I'm only playing one path, so I can only imagine how crazy this thread is going to get once we actually reach this point in the storyღ

I really like the rest of your post btw. I agree with pretty much everything. Personally, I'd prefer it if Summer remains gone. Still, I'd be lying if I said that the prospect of her returning wasn't intriguing in and of itselfღ

Edit: By the way, this isn't meant to scare anyone. As far as I remember, you can still have fun on the solo path by engaging with all of the lewdable characters; it's just that it may not be as fulfilling. In the end, it's mainly quantity vs. quality. The most similar thing I can think of(regarding AVNs that tried this) would be the "others" path from BADIK. There really is something for everyone hereღ
