We all know the reason. For the same reason other devs re-write and re-render a game whilst working on a second. Most of the stuff they proclaim takes months to do... It really doesn't. Only the rendering of static, and animation, renders should take months. Coding and bug fixing, separately, shouldn't take long at all. Especially if a game isn't overly complex code wise.

I can't remember the exact words, but there's a scene when you discuss your feelings for Bella with Nami, and she offers to teach you how to please women, and then the scene where she jokes about Nika getting married to Victoria... I think, she's desperately in love with Nika enough to accept what she can get, and she'll hide her pain and feelings.

This is absolutely true, and I think since the romance with Bella is the most intense so far, it is the only path that makes Nami lose her cool and show her true feelings otherwise she could pretend much more longer. She bursts into tears after his date with Bella, and at that point he admits that her feelings are serious enough to be a problem (or blessing). This leads to "the talk" by the lake, where Nika voices the "unspoken truths" between them.
The animation before the date with Bella does a very good job of showing how Nami feels. Probably my favorite animation at the moment. While Amber kisses the elegantly dressed Bella in the forehead wishing her good luck, Nami hugs Nika goodbye, hiding her sad face. Then Nika meets Bella at the Relucia, everything around is shiny and fancy, they are going to have a good time. And then the scenery changes to show their home in the dark countryside and the contrasting bright lights of the far city on the other side. In her room, Nami sitting on her bed, crying by candlelight. Awesome ambient trance background music is playing. If this isn't the best way to show how she feels now, then I don't know what is.

I can honestly say that I can render this 6 times faster than Ocean! It only took me 0 seconds to do this!:

His grammar made it hard to follow. Did we read the same post? It's been ages since I used this excuse, but English isn't my first language. His whole post was hard to follow, but I got the general gist of it.

He also said that the devs who don't deserve the money get called out for it in their AVN threads, but he doesn't see it here(therefore implying that Oceans belongs on the list of devs who don't deserve all of their support). He also implied that Oceans was a "milker" when he expressed awe and frustration that people didn't continuously call Oceans out for problems(bullshit, in his words) he's addressed a million times. He did it again when he called SG a cash cow and exclaimed to everyone that there was no chance of these projects being finished. Looking back... I really shouldn't have repliedღ

Luv, none of this relates to Oceanlab. The main themes of that post related to Oceans being an implied milker and it being weird that users in his thread didn't attack him for it. The whole post was so bizarre that I'm unsure why I repliedღ

Replying again thinking that you may have something to do with Oceanlab.
Now the criticism I replied to and what I added is not necessarily all that negative.
This game is probably the best VN that is unfinished yet touched my heart. I think I played it wayy back in early 2021. This is the most desired VN of mine and I believe that's the same case for many others. So, when this VN takes so much unnecessary time then the fan's frustration is somewhat valid. You have to remember that whoever are complaining here are fans of this VN. If I weren't I wouldn't waste my time and energy on thia thread.
Now if we talk about the past then the slow update kind of made sense as there was not enough subscriber on Patreon but that's not the case now. So, why there is still one chapter a year ?
I really want to know the answer, then I might be able to console myself saying that this one is gonna go out after 10 years. So, better forget about it now.
This VN introduced characters like my dream. Bella character was very unique. You have no idea how much I hate humiliation but still the way Bella's approach was made by the devs I really had fallen in love with Bella, Honestly speaking this character and the chemistry between MC and her made me so fond of this VN. But when you have to wait so much for your most loved one, you can imagine the mental situation.
Whatever, I hope Oceanlab will at least finish the VN even if it takes 20 years. I am only afraid that I might lose interest in these types VN by that time.

Well, Ocean doesn’t know how to render quickly, why did you bother him? Although if you think that he is milking people like that, you may be right. He can milk people because he wants to buy new video cards with this money to render faster. Who would have thought turning a scene down to 100 samples would greatly improve render times? Mind blowing. But, let us for a brief moment, forget the drop in visual fidelity and grain that would occur with such a low count - even with AA.

Not to mention that post-denoiser ON will turn the scene into a blurry puddle of liquid soap with such a number of max samples.
