Ask yourself, what is the fucking point of complaining about people criticizing a game on F9zone, a pirate forum? The criticisms has nothing to do with you to begin with, did you see the author complaining about them? No? So if you can't even acknowledge a criticism as a 3rd party, I wonder how the fuck you deal with criticisms directed your way.

Loli and NTR wasn't promised, sex was though, so stop bitching when people criticize the game for still not having sex after 5 years of development. Some people, at some point, just gets fed up with the wait. You have to acknowledge that and move on. There's absolutely no point chastising people who have given up. You cannot force them to wait more, they are done.

It doesn't matter whether they knew beforehand or not. Knowing and criticizing are not mutually-explicit to each other.

You have to consider people who does not comment or review though. You have to wonder how many of those silent lurkers are disappointed that there's still no sex. They probably make up the overwhelming majority of players.

As for me, I hope that there will be sex in the next chapter right away. I don't think it would be healthy to make the community wait any longer. For now, it's easy to justify why there's no sex in the game. But if S2 Ch1 comes out without sex, people will lose their shit, trust me.

What I find childish is people constantly complaining about the lack of sex when they've already been told multiple times that it will get there eventually, but since they're focusing in the characters and their stories it's not there yet.

It's like going to a store demanding certain product, when management already said "I regret to inform you that we currently don't have the product you look for, but we will get it in the future and we will tell you when we do", but then people keep 'criticizing' cause the product isn't there. What's the point?
If a store tells me that, I don't waste time complaining about something they already told me they don't currently have and I just go to another store.

It doesn't have to be full-on sex in S2 Ch 1, it can be decent enough lewd scenes to reassure people things are back on track. I don't think this is the game for people who'd "lose their shit" because the MC is still a virgin at the end of S2 Ch 1.

This exactly. It is childish to say "sex hasn't happened yet, waaaah. You told me I have to wait and I DON'T BELIEVE YOU, waaaah. Ima gunna pout and leave 1 star reviews and complain." What exactly is adult about any of that behaviour? I mean if adult reflects all the things that adults typically do, ALL AVN's would be stories about paying off mortgages while paying taxes, with infrequent sex because everyone's so exhausted from the grind that they can't grind - rather than 4-5 times a day. Most AVN's on this site are what children imagine sex to be like, while someone magically pays the bills (even the young stud who has to save his family's finance trope gets his regular meals).

Too many shots of Mila in tight sportswear with nowhere to hide. Any woman in that lockeroom trying on the new uniforms (which are so tight someone could feel it inside them) is unlikely to be a futa.

The futa could be Karen ...or it could be Sai - they could have both. When did Ocean suggest that the futa would be a main LI? Heck, it could be Desiree as a homage to another game.

Well, if being critical of criticisms is stupid, by inference... we'd have nothing to discuss other than wild conspiract theories.

But I get your point; the criticism regards the lewd content is low level noise to be expected on a site that is synonymous with lewd games. But by the same token, the game's presence here has nothing to do with lewd or not - it's simply a pirate forum. It's here because the game has the same form factor as a lewd AVN. The expectations and cognitive biases of the people expecting lewd = adult is really what makes them upset. Remove that expectation, and the game can be judged on its own merits.

Literally the only thing someone needs to do to avoid disappointment is read the disclaimer on the first page where the download is. Maybe the disclaimer SHOULDN'T be hidden behind a spoiler - but I guess it is a spoiler for some people if it limits their enjoyment. Maybe someone should add an edging/denial tag? Every scene amirite?

I thought the same, could be the enviroment. Doesn't look like a rich daughter would be hanging out there - and in the kitchen even more so.
But then it is just a dark siloutte - more or less - so not much detail there other than long hair, slim body and not flat chested - which accounts for 95% of the cast.

I don't think anything is wrong with them, other than the changing render size. Maybe in season 2 they'll have settled down?

In seriousness, Ocean has repeatedly mentioned that he doesn't like revealling nudes of characters before they are revealed in the story - there were some dev log blender images of Miru from WiaB that he said something along the lines of Miru's safe to experiment with because she's the only one that's been fully seen in game. I think that's just part of his own build up, treating the girls as human who aren't easy, rather than merely breeding machines like Kelly prefers.

I think Mila is probably quite vulnerable about being nude, given her mum's life, so Ocean wants to keep her reasonably modest/in character until she starts working on Venus, and maybe this is her starting her Venus account?

It is easy to criticize an AVN because it does not give someone what they want.

This is a pirate site where many people come to take something for free.

F95 has a well-organized system of tags that can be used in searches as well as a quick assessment - what is actually included in an AVN.

Summers Gone has NO tags for sex yet.

Then the creator, Ocean, adds in a screen that CANNOT be missed - saying NO SEX YET.

Still - after all of this - we have some takers who complain about the lack of sex and give poor ratings.

Why not give 1* ratings because Summers Gone has no Loli content or no NTR or no ..., etc.

So what if there are no tags for these - and they were not specifically mentioned on Ocean's 'sexy babes' screen warning, right?

I'm giving each person who rates SG or comments on SG credit for being at least 18 years old - AKA - an adult.

I see adults who Can read (whether or not they choose to check out the tags for SG and/or just click through Ocean's No Sex Yet warning page) complaining because they are not getting what they want When they want it - i.e. - sex with the LIs.

Do I believe that there will be sex, lewd times and other naked fun with the MC and some of the LIs in Season 2 - Yes!

Ocean wraps up primary world-building during Season 1 (while leaving/adding plenty of mystery for future seasons).

This world-building provides an interesting and deep framework within which the MC is growing various relationships, including those with potential LIs.

The depth of Ocean's world-building is a critical part of Summers Gone, IMO, - creating a living, breathing world we get to enjoy as we make choices to build or pass on deep relationships with potential LIs.

For me, this means that When sex happens between the MC and an LI - it will both fit the story and be a meaningful step in the MC/LI relationship.

If someone wants the equivalent of Pornhub shorts - Summers Gone, like Many of the good/great story-based AVNs that are still in the world-building phase - is not the place to scratch that itch.

For those who can't wait for the sex in an AVN - they have Literally thousands of other options on F95 that include sex.

But this question amusingly echoes the author’s point that some people here feel overy entitled to something, although they themselves have never supported any creator and will never do. "They get offended on the behalf of others." And that's the thing that turned many good dev's off this forum.

I'm afraid you're making the same mistake here, taking offense at their bitching "criticism" on the behalf of others. Not that all this bitching "criticism" has any impact on the dev anymore. Let them do their things in peace, there is a wonderful ignore option and you can read and communicate in this thread without even knowing about their existence. It worked for the dev, I guess it will work for you too. Unless you have fun arguing with them of course.

But you can't convince random people on the Internet of anything, don't even try. If someone wants to feel offended and disappointed, the disappointed and offended they will feel themselves. The only point I see in posts like this post of yours is to prevent new people in this thread from getting the impression that the game and it's dev really are what the authors of the one-star ratings are trying to make them look like. This was probably my main motivation to respond to such "criticism" too.

But this doesn't make much sense, people have their own eyes and brains, they will make their own opinion about the game in any case and no negative or positive reviews or posts on the forum will change that opinion, only consistent releases of high-quality game updates can do this. I'm just glad to see a lot of new people on this thread making positive contributions to the game discussion.
