Agree to about Bella, she doesn't care about "Cougar's pit" and their stories.

About Nojiko, whoever stand behind MC or Nami, they were left to Nojiko, she could be retired member of Zane's, but I thing those kids are too important to be raised by some random gang member. She must be close friend of them. Yeah, Nojiko/Katie, I think they aren't on good terms, but it could be some rivalry between them, but I think there is some respect between them.

But Katie being there is hard to believe has something to do with MC, only Nami know that MC probably would be there, nobody else. So, is she told Katie? Or is Katie there for her. I doubt Katie waits behind doors and appear to the club. And she comes rarely there. Or was she there for some other random reason.

I thing this is looking alike "The Truman Show", but I very doubt it is.

Katie knew about Nami attending (and thats why Katie was there) but seeing Nika there (to her suprise) showcased her interest in Nika is at least equal to Nami imo.

But Nojiko seems only concerned about Katie interacting with Nika, not with Nami.

Well we know that only one of them can be a Zane, Nami is the less problematic choice, she has Leia's earring, Nika we don't have anything other than wild speculation. Does not mean that Nika is uniportant, he is the MC, but between them I think Nami is the one with a past.

I find the idea that Noji raised them in secret to protect them a odd one as well, why Auya was not ? or sasha ? or the first team Rivera?

there are some relation between them and the Zanes and Noji played a part in it. My guess was always William and Leia but now we know this cant be the case, if it ever was. I can't see a reason that I find crediable that explain it all. they have a relation of sorts, both Nami and Nika from different avenues.

We've got renders of Noji in her sleepwear talking to Nika and Noji in a bikini talking with Nika, my guess is both are serious talks, so there will be explanations of ...something important. Most likely after visiting Ayua, NIka will be curious about even more.

Noji isn't doing a great job of keeping them secret if she enrolls them in the Zane college. Keeping them secret would be moving state. The returning prince is poor cliche. I really hope it's not that. There might be a conspiracy to protect Nika from what really happened to Summer, which I'm guessing Katie and the Zane's know about - that's a pure hunch though. I believe that because the Zanes are central and Summer is central, at some point Ocean will join those dots. That doesn't mean Nika's story is about those things, they are currents which pull him around while he tries to find balance. The story is less about Nika's parents (which might never be confirmed) than it is about how Nika navigates life dealing with his mental health.

Regarding gangs, Uncle Joe had the gang, Leia had employees and a business with wannabe mafia style habits. But her business is legitimate. Same thing with ZPR, it's a legitimate business. We shouldn't get so caught up in cloak and dagger that we miss the simple concept of these three families might have created a business to monopolise the town. The best crimes aren't illegal, and it could well be that the college is their way to retire legitimately, and fix their messes of the past.

It's unknown. My guess is somewhere between the end of Feb and the end of April, based on all the factors you can read in Ocean's devlogs, usually posted her by kind people around Thurs/Friday.

Season 1 was released in May, that was the first time we saw the full reworked material, so if it's before May, it's less than a year. Also, consider that S2 Ch1 is going to be half the render count of the entire 5 chapters Ocean released so far, that means we're getting half the size of a season, potentially within one year, which is quite amazing.

It’s confirmed in the conversation between Nojiko and Katie that Nojiko isn’t happy about Katie and Nika interacting while she wasn’t like that with any of the other women at the bookclub despite her initial reservations about Nika coming along.

She didn’t liked Nika joining the trip but only got really agitated/nervous when she realized that Katie is there to a point of being visibly uncomfortable and other people noticing it.

Imo there’s not a lot to discuss about and it’s plainly obvious that Nami and Nika are equally „important“.

I agree with most of it. Nojiko hiding them from the Zanes does not make any sense. I on the other hand would hate to Summer being the thread that connects it all, Summer always felt more a character bit than a plot point, I don't really care about it outside of how Nika deals with it.
The Returning Prince is a bit cliche, it really only interestest me because I find william and Nika personality to be very different in some aspects and very similiar in others, I think is has potencial to have a good dynamic in a father-son relationship.

Other point that I don't quite agree is the cloak and dagger. I think both stories has plenty of that, Nika plans to make Vanessa have sex with her boyfriend father to destroy their family, a bit silly but is the type of cloak and dagger shit I expect, same goes with the Mila situation and the Nicole character assassination, I think will be plenty of that.

The family thing is much early to say, but I don't think Leia would give up her business, and we get bike in SG as well. If I was to bet, each family is one branch of a operation. Petrova the legal one, Elena is a respect lawyer, the Zanes are the finacial and the Revera the criminal one.

Well maybe Katie likes them Young and Fresh with a sparkle of depression and anxiety and she feared that Katie might not hold herself and just ravage poor Nika then and there. Unlikely but a man can dream. I agree that Nika is important, my point is that we don't know Nojiko reasons to be mad at Katie and Nika does not have a clear link with the Zanes as Nami do.

It's quite easy for her to have impact and to be more than just a starting point without her dominating the narrative. I would hope that Nika uncovers his past and retrieves the parts of himself that he though he lost, not just build himself up from the ground and ignore who he was. I suspect that bringing Nia's story into things, Ocean will have plenty of material with Summer, therapy flashbacks or memories taht NIka comes to terms with, and he grows past those mental issues as he accepts the grief is part of moving on.

I can also imagine scenarios where the Zanes feel guilty for what happened to Nika's parents. What if Vic got the scholarship for the same reason, that the Zane's felt responsible for her being an orphan? That is SG the Zanes try to fix some of the damage they caused by getting to the top?

By cloak and dagger, I don't mean the teenage detective shenanigans, I mean the mafia/gang angle. Yes it's 100% there in WiaB, and we know it's still there in some ways now, but it's not necessarily a major focus of SG. ALso, we don't know how it will be in WiaB. So far it seems more like organised crime than a gang, there's a lot more subtlety to Leia's operations. So yes WiaB has the cloak and dagger and mysteries, SG so far is just Nika's mysteries. The Zanes do have a legitimate business, and Noji might be simply a legitimate doctor.

i think Nojiko is solely acting in Nika's interest in this whole thing. i believe she puts Nika's and Nami's interests first like a real mom.

I'm sure Nika wouldn't think being lied to is "in his interest". Lying to "protect" someone is never a good idea. And just like you said

Nojiko will have to come clean soon if she doesnt want to destroy Nika's trust into her imo.

Jenna's statement "Maybe Noji did the right thing after all" suggests that Noji acted against the consensus of whoever else knows what's going on, and makes her seem an independent player. I'm merely suggesting there is no unified conspiracy, there are a bunch of different angle, and where there are different motives it's impossible to keep secrets - the stories won't match up because everyone knows different things.

That book club scene felt like Nika was in the middle of a conspiracy, with most or at least some women there seeming to know something about him, something that Nojiko doesn't want Nika to know. It felt like all eyes where on him.

I'm pretty much the same age as you, so don't worry I feel the pain And if you consider that a standard chapter (what Ocean considers a standard chapter at any rate is ~2500 renders for SG, and around ~2000 for WiaB. If he's currently going to pull off 4000 for WiaB and 6000 for SG within a year of SG's steam release, that could mean 2 chapters a year from that point on for both games. Mad optimism from me, but yeah.

I take the bookclub to be a all kinds of gossip from people who make it their job to know enough to make other people uncomfortable. Or something. I don't think they're a coven scheming away. SUre they know things, but currently it's all things about people they know well. The only moment for me that maybe pushed it further was Jenna's comment, that was the one that stood out as being serious (well other than Katie). I actually think they would have gotten together to read books.

Noji 'lying' to protect him is definitely not going to go well, but he also knows she kept quiet about Nick, and Nami didn't take it well. He knows her well enough to let her explain I'm sure. SOme times (like in the case with not telling Nami about Nick, it's just someone avoiding a hard topic. On face value, Noji has enough on her plate without having to trigger Nika with things that she thinks he's not ready to face, or things she's not ready to deal with.

I can see your point about Summer and I agree, is more a matter of preference. Just that having the Zanes being responsible for whatever happened with Summer too "good", like it fit the two ends of the story in the more predicable way possible, I kinda prefer when stories don't answer all the questions. Summer disappearance being something that Nika has to walk away from is perfect, having this incident be related with the overall plot... seem really cheap to me.

I guess this depends in how WiaB ends. I kinda don't like that angle, part of me would like to see the Zanes as antagonist in this story, not villains, but a contrarie force to Nika in some way. Personally, depending on how dark WiaB gets - and I expect quite a bit, having repent William and Leia given scholarship out of guilt is kinda boring, but not impossible.

My bad, I get you now. Yeah, I don't think it will be the focus either, but I think it will have with characters as Vanessa, Nicole, the cop, I see many pity falls laid out for Nika. for the rest I agree.

Nah. Noji pornstar would be out of the left field. It is to make us wonder about Noji, much of the book club is to make was questioning what we thought we know. Nojiko knowing a pornstar is odd but plausible, a pornstar being in a bored housewife bookclub of riche old ladies is surreal to me. The book club itself I don't think there is much to it, but some people of the bookclub are gonna be important. Jenna, Ana, Charlie, the author.
