What I find funny as hell is that for some reason, I see that most of the complainers are sponsers, the ones that sponsers Ocean don't complain, Ocean's project takes a long time to produce, I totally agree, but it's because he has to be the best there is to be, and he adore's challenges, he accomplishes things that no other Devs ever accomplished before, can't wait to witness the finished product ;)

So why are you lying? Anyone can go to Patreon and see how sponsors are leaving SG. It all started last spring when Ocean started censoring the game, his Patreons got completely angry and started leaving. Then Ocean promised that he would make a new chapter by the end of the year and the outflow of people stopped. But in the fall, when everyone realized that Ocean lied again and there would be no new chapter, the outflow of people started again. Even now, the influx of new people on Patreon is less than the outflow and its rating is gradually falling.

Ah, the elusive downfall of Ocean Patreon. I’ve heard the stories about it for years. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Regarding the rumors that Robin isn't a love interest, I believe that the bookworm perk could pave the way for a Sasha-Robin throuple. This would likely occur in the distant future, not before Season 3. After all, SG isn't meant to be explicit. The story and desire need time to build up ...

This man is out here talking about throuples. Sir, we can't even decide if MC's dick works. We're banging rocks together to make fire and you're talking about putting a man on the moon.

There are others in the story who's sticks are working just fine :ROFLMAO:.

This should give you an idea. That's for the past year. Of course these things aren't very reliable but they give you a notion.

In my opinion, maintaining 1k + subs while going on an average of a full year between his 2 games without an update is insanely good. I'd kick back, relax and take my time with the next update too. He isn't hurting for money whatsoever.

this may ruffle some feathers but I have to ask. I haven't played this game but how can it only have 1 season since being released in 2019?

Yeah, what's up with that? I heard that there were some serious editing/censoring in this game when he uploaded it to Steam? Like blurring out text or like a maple leaf?
i thought most of that stuff was reverted?
Some stuff. Some cinematics were removed because the music license company changed the terms. Other devs are now getting hit with this also. That is probably why Ocean's done things like changed the logos of consumer items (to prevent lawsuits). The thing is that what is on steam IS the official version. There's isn't un "unedited" one. The steam version is the canon version. There's no jacuzzi semi lewd in season 1, so the (assumed) lewd preview with Nami and Nika from season 2 replaces that. I'm sure it'll be hotter than the original that was cut.

People who answer with one sentence have either had to answer too many times or are too cynical, and you'll get some flavour of their biases. My potted response:
- SG's script was given to another dev, Regium to develop, Regium pulled out between Ch1 and 2, with Ocean taking the game back.
- around Ch3, Ocean discovered much better models and processes, so started reworking WiaB, but realising it looked shit going from old to new, so started reworking SG from the start, while continuing the story.
- WiaB was rebooted. It had already reach ch6, but now we're waiting on ch4 of the new version.
- there are over 12000 static renders in SG. Not every full game gets that many. There is a lot to read to know the story. It is long, and takes a while to play because there is so much character development (season 1 is about stablishing who the cast of the game is).
- Around the time Ocean was going to steam, he finished the rework, which removed any legacy renders.
- the rework was extended to tame the game down from 18+ to 16 for steam, so Germans could get it on steam. That didn't work though, but Ocean has only returned the parts that made sense to him with his plans for season 2.

There's other things such as getting hardwares, almost losing files etc.

Since Steam's May release, Ocean's been working on Season 2 Ch1 (there was a little done earlier, but I suspect he redid some of those renders). When Ch1 of season 2 is out, it'll be half to 2/3 of the entire size of season 1, so there's a lot of game. This is too ambitious, but Ocean's making good progress if we believe the devlogs.

If you want to see the devlogs, there's a link in the OP that has a list of the season 2 devlogs so you can read for yourself.

lol, there are 45,784 posts in this thread. 35k of them are about this question.
I'm out of reactions, but damn, that's good.

Pretty much 1 update per 1.5 year + wasting development time of new content with constant bullshit reworks of past updates and scenes + wasting even more time updating his workstation which of course something goes wrong along the way and so on...

I have no idea why the guy in the comments above is lying about one update every 1.5 years, but anyone can find the table in the off-topic thread and check it for themselves. Chapter 5 took the longest time to develop, taking 14 months. But if you take into account that this is the time from the previous Full Release (not Beta) to the current Full Release, and let me remind you that between the CH5Beta and CH5Full there was a Steam release and 2000+ reworked renders from Chapter 1 you can get the idea why it took so long. The shortest time was Chapter 3.5, 6 months. In total, 6 updates in 60 months, that is, on average, one update every 10 months.

Copied that table here for you.

Hey mate, I have noticed that you have put on the effort to create a compilation of the devlogs for both games. But you have mentioned, that there are some pasrts missing, renders or similar. I'm way to lazy to search every part of it for missing stuff, you should know the best what's lacking.

Just DM with the stuf you are missing and I try to provide you with that stuff. WIAB dev logs go back till 15.01.2021 and SG dev logs until 26.01.2021

Ah, thanks, Mort, but I think everything's in place now :)
