The tabletop session took up most of the development period. Oceanlabs said that he was aiming for another release this year. I think everyone here should prepare for a Christmas release or November release(thanksgiving for my American friends). Seeing that there won't be a tabletop session for the next few updates, it seems like this may be the perfect time for Oceans to really focus on the development period(amongst other things). Like Tairnel said, 5-7 months seems to be a good estimate for the next update. I can honestly only see it decreasing from there.i really appreciate his work and faster updates would def increase his patreon supporters but... i think ocean wont be as fast as we expect its just experience we had every update did take his time. but they were always great.
What I do hope, and this is coming from one of the biggest fans of the game, is that the next tabletop session does not take up so much of the development period. What I'm hoping for, is that by then, Oceanlab would have grown significantly in support. Enough that he'd have been able to improve both the software and hardware assets he used for the development of this game. To put it simply, I hope that he'd have grown in support and as a developer by then, so that development for that aspect of the game does not take up too much time. Without the tabletop session, I can honestly see SG being comparable to BADIK and COBD when it comes to its release schedule.
Edit: My point is that all of the last updates were released under different circumstances. Most of the changes from chapter 3 to chapter 4 have been positive ones. Also, he did not "take his time" bringing out any of the last updates. You work with what you get, and when it comes to developing Adult Visual Novels, Oceanlabs is working with what he has. There's a difference between being limited and taking your time. If it weren't for his limitations in both hardware and software, the updates would have been drastically shorter.
