i really appreciate his work and faster updates would def increase his patreon supporters but... i think ocean wont be as fast as we expect its just experience we had every update did take his time. but they were always great.
The tabletop session took up most of the development period. Oceanlabs said that he was aiming for another release this year. I think everyone here should prepare for a Christmas release or November release(thanksgiving for my American friends). Seeing that there won't be a tabletop session for the next few updates, it seems like this may be the perfect time for Oceans to really focus on the development period(amongst other things). Like Tairnel said, 5-7 months seems to be a good estimate for the next update. I can honestly only see it decreasing from there.

What I do hope, and this is coming from one of the biggest fans of the game, is that the next tabletop session does not take up so much of the development period. What I'm hoping for, is that by then, Oceanlab would have grown significantly in support. Enough that he'd have been able to improve both the software and hardware assets he used for the development of this game. To put it simply, I hope that he'd have grown in support and as a developer by then, so that development for that aspect of the game does not take up too much time. Without the tabletop session, I can honestly see SG being comparable to BADIK and COBD when it comes to its release schedule.

Edit: My point is that all of the last updates were released under different circumstances. Most of the changes from chapter 3 to chapter 4 have been positive ones. Also, he did not "take his time" bringing out any of the last updates. You work with what you get, and when it comes to developing Adult Visual Novels, Oceanlabs is working with what he has. There's a difference between being limited and taking your time. If it weren't for his limitations in both hardware and software, the updates would have been drastically shorter.

I'm pretty sure we will get the next chapter before this year ends. So close to chapter 5 and Steam release.

The update was good. I really liked it. Bella and MC, what a couple! The tabletop session is long, but it's okay for me. But damnnn, Zara is a hottie. Guys, is Zara a love interest?
To be honest, I'm not sure. She's in the second page of the gallery. Not sure if it means side girl or not.
But she is hot. I thought so when the MC and her were looking at the display case. I first thought she was ZPR, because of the clothing plus her name was Zara, but I guess not.

thanks so much

I'm a bit out of touch with what the dev is up to but has the writing\writer changed since SG ch 4 and the WiaB ch 1 rework? I find the dialog clunky and a bit hard to get into now.

Anyone else have problems with the video/animation parts? Like when mc gets into a fight with that one dude in class it cuts off mid punch for me, the video that plays when Bella is sitting on her car while talking to that other girl also just cuts off in the middle, I didn't have this problem in previous updates

I bet it has content right now, it may be only Chapter 1, but it's 1,2GB in size. While that doesn't really mean anything, but in example BaDIK, both the initial release and first update were huge in content :p
I didn't encounter 1 sex scene through the entire 1-4 chapters, great fuckin game though, top tier for sure, no content though or atleast no content i found

There's nothing wrong with the writing, it's more Oceanlabs not being a native English speaker. Many things that would seem natural to natives, he tends to forget or perhaps doesn't know. It takes forever to become fluent in a language. He probably didn't take the time to really think about how each line would sound if spoken. He probably thought in his native tongue and translated it to English when he wrote. It could have been a lot of things, but one thing's a fact, this is only the beta. I believe that he'll go over the dialogue(along with many other things) before the final release.

If you're talking about the overall dialogue, yeah he's not a native English speaker. It'll take some time before he can articulate his thoughts into the dialogue as clearly as he can when speaking to us here, in discord, or in the dev logs on Patreon. To put it clearly, he still needs some practice. He's getting better, but it'll take a while before his dialogue is visibly cohesive. It took me ages to get my English to this level, and I practice every day(and it's still terrible lol).

A realistic solution to this would be for him to hire a proofreader/editor. But they do not come cheap. This is an investment he'll have to make further on down the line, but hopefully, he gets help before that. There are many articulate users here, and I'm sure many of them would love to perform an amateur proofread for him. In any event, this problem has to be addressed. One thing to note is that Oceans has thought about this problem, and is actively working on it.
The best solution for this problem is to use a grammar program that will fix every issue in the sentence. I'm writing my own fiction too and I always use this when I finish the script. I can make terrible mistakes in the sentences too.
