hi guys, i just dowload the game and i already love it, but i have a question, how long does the creator take for new update? thanks and sorry for my bad english
This update took ~8 months. Ocean has said on Discord recently he plans to have another update this year, so hopefully that proves true. Would be nice to get to where updates are ~4-6 months, I think getting those updates into such a timeframe will significantly boost Patreon subscribers for him.I checked this game out after a year and wanted to know, how often are the content updates? I remember dev was redoing the older game or something like that so updates to this game were slow. But moving forward, is it 1 year per content release?
Well the artists themselves aren't that much of a problem in this case, more like the publisher is (don't know if I'm using the terminology right, whatever). Most of SG songs are published on YT etc. by Epidemic. Ocean managed to get some of the artists' consent to use their songs in his game, however the publisher unfortunately is the one who has final word and they disapproved.Ocean had some good progress on the licences allthough i thought Waykap wasn't 1 of them.
Alot of artists don't want their musice associated with porngames. And there was 1 distributer who started to get cocky. Developers payed a butload of money for the licences and now they are wabing with some small prints. Leap of Faith was the first who got burned. Afaik only DPC managed to get the right licences.
I will keep chapter 3.5 or 4 on back-up just to have the "original" songs in this game. So i do hope Ocean also gets a licence for/from Waykap since these songs just "belong" to Summer's Gone
i really appreciate his work and faster updates would def increase his patreon supporters but... i think ocean wont be as fast as we expect its just experience we had every update did take his time. but they were always great. This update took ~8 months. We don't need to be broken until that moment. We're still going to get our previews, remember? And to be honest, I don't think this time it will take so long.Jesus man, i really liked the update but im feeling sad after playing because i see alot of potential in the game and im excited for alot of things that is going to come in this game like the partys, basketball match against the first team, get to know the girls/guys from the first team as well, the same time that im excited im sad as well because it is going to take a long time till we reach that.
=(

The tabletop session took up most of the development period. Oceanlabs said that he was aiming for another release this year. I think everyone here should prepare for a Christmas release or November release(thanksgiving for my American friends). Seeing that there won't be a tabletop session for the next few updates, it seems like this may be the perfect time for Oceans to really focus on the development period(amongst other things). Like Tairnel said, 5-7 months seems to be a good estimate for the next update. I can honestly only see it decreasing from there.i really appreciate his work and faster updates would def increase his patreon supporters but... i think ocean wont be as fast as we expect its just experience we had every update did take his time. but they were always great.
I'm pretty sure we will get the next chapter before this year ends. So close to chapter 5 and Steam release. The tabletop session took up most of the development period. What I do hope, and this is coming from one of the biggest fans of the game, is that the next tabletop session does not take up so much of the development period. What I'm hoping for, is that by then, Oceanlab would have grown significantly in support. Enough that he'd have been able to improve both the software and hardware assets he used for the development of this game. To put it simply, I hope that he'd have grown in support and as a developer by then, so that development for that aspect of the game does not take up too much time. Without the tabletop session, I can honestly see SG being comparable to BADIK and COBD when it comes to its release schedule.
