Are ya sure that you postet in the right Thread because this isn't from Summer's Gone. :ROFLMAO:
you are in the wrong forum for that, you must be in the bare witness forum!! ;)
"Okay, I already unlocked nine sex scenes but don't get the remaining three, could you help me?"

"Sex scenes? You sure came to the wrong place for that, this is SG!"

He's kind of attractive. I'm not even going to sugar-coat it lol. He also has a bit of that mysterious aura about him that's attractive in its own way. He's actually one of the more attractive male models I've come across here(F95). I mean... don't get me wrong, they all can do better, but it's really not that hard to see why they like him. At least that's my opinion as someone of the opposite sexღ
I would say he is quite fucking hot. Beautiful face, awesome eyes, lovely black hair.

That, plus his "i dont fucking care" attitude, which can be quite hot to a lot of girls. So not a big surprise girls like him.

Although games such that
1) MC exists
2) girls fall in love.
Tend to be terrible. Give me some conflict, drama, flirting, emotion. Make me love and hate the characters. I dont care about carton personalities.

Pity so many devs fail to see that. So happy this is not the case.

Ya even for me, as a dude, I would like to see more VNs actually have more male characters in the game, even if they can be a little bit of competition for you - when every girl is just in love with your character right off the bat, it takes away a good bit of the potential enjoyment as it's like you're playing on "God Mode".

Nothing better as a guy in the dating world then going after a girl and basically winning her exclusive affection over other guys who might be interested in her.

I like what you are saying, but careful... the NTR police will jump on you!

Honestly, I would even love a game in which some character you can try to get remains impossible. She will never love you back. I would also love a rival heroine, a girl that is both your nemesis and a love interest.

But so many just want games in which they are told every fucking second what a wonderful gift to women they are....

It's realistic. Someone like Bella would have guys approaching her on a daily basis, and super frequently at that. Someone like Mila would have guys trying to break down her door for a chance to get with her. It's natural for girls that attractive to get a lot of male attention. Nothing irks me more than starting a game, and the female characters act as if the MC is the only guy in the world. They see the MC and suddenly they have tunnel vision. Life doesn't work that way lol, but I guess that defeats the whole point of why some of these developers make their games(porn - which relies on unrealism most of the time).

What I love about Oceans is that he's open to these things. The female characters have lives outside of the MC in his stories. Their worlds don't revolve around the MC, and I love that hint of realism. I don't play anymore new AVNs, but I do hope more devs take that approach when writing their games.

I am sure more devs would take that approach more often if 99% of the playerbase would not have incel like mentality, that can't experience any competition, or hardship without wetting their panties and threaten to stop supporting 'because they don't play games to feel sad, or jealous'. As it stands right now, devs do whats best for business.

Most games are designed to allow you to fantasize, which is what most people want. Games exist to allow us to express our fetishes and to do things that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Also, most games with a story have a story revolving around porn. Summer's gone in an UFO in the porn games we have on this site.

In order to develop a vibrant; complicated story, you need writing talent. Talent that most game developers don't have. It's easier to pose and generate DAZ3D models with a mediocre story that have a good chance to earn you some money, than struggling, trying to write something good and having your game bomb.

There will always be Gem like Summer's gone. But developers simply follow the demand.

You just described harem anime, girls only see MC and noone else even tho in many cases the MC is just so bland or worse. I really prefer when there are more males aside from the MC where girls also can get attracted to.

hah ya, I figured that fear of NTR complaints is what keeps devs away from that.

I think it'd be cool to have situations where a character you're interested in can get hit on by other guys and if you've dismissed them or basically not secured exclusivity with them yet, they can act like a single person would - doesn't necessarily mean anything would happen there if you interjected, but for example with Summer's Gone, as the game develops maybe MC has some disagreements with some of the jocks on the basketball team and one of them is interested in one of the girls the player is interested in and it creates some competition. That would lead to the dev having the freedom and creativity to build some scenes / situations involving that other male competitor that if you navigate well, just like IRL, the feeling of success is even better when you beat a male rival for a woman's affection, which is a real-life thing and feels great.

Now it would definitely be more complicated for the dev, as they would have to code options into the game to make it so the player could reject the girl if she went too far with another guy (player didn't like their behavior, etc.), that kind of thing, but I think it'd be pretty cool and make the games feel more real. I liked in "Leap of Faith" how you could help your buddy get with Linda if you weren't interested in her, and they were a couple at the end of the game, too, so situations like that where the girl ends up with someone else even though you weren't interested would be cool because it creates more realistic situations and outcomes.

I like your idea on the rival heroine - makes me think a little of Zara here in SG where she tries to compete with MC, although they already seem to be getting a little lovey dovey in certain situations if the player chooses right. But yeah if they write a character who really isn't able to be romanced until much later in the game because she's written to literally just cause problems all through the game for the MC and then later on in the story circumstances evolve to create situations conducive to romance development would be cool, too.

Ya, I remember reading in the "Where It All Began" began thread where Ocean talked a little about the NTR options being more realistic and I had said basically I'm cool with those types of things being in the game as long I have the option to reject the woman if she does something that I consider over-stepping. Because as you said, it's realistic for the female characters to have other guys interested in them, they're not all just going to love the main character...and yeah, a girl that looks like Mila...holy hell, they would have a line of dudes just following them around all day long. Amber is the main girl I'm interested in for SG, and I would bet it wouldn't just be the Holgersons chasing her, it'd be every guy she met, so yeah, big fan of more realistic situations. Makes the achievement of exclusivity more valuable, too.

What makes Ocean's AVNs so special to me is that usually other AVNs give the usual impression of having a protagonist that gives you the mindset that its about YOU and that you are allowed to self-insert yourself into the story to get that immersive experience which then caters to the famous trope of being the popular guy living the dream of getting all the attractive womens' attention and affection, those are just porn games and I completely understand that decision to take that direction. In the end I wholeheartedly agree with Lady Fortuna 's assessment.

But, Summer's Gone and his other title are the only ones where I get this feeling of not having to self-insert, but more like I'm here to guide them to redemption. It's like I'm watching a movie where I am in the driver's seat supporting and cheering the protagonists to reach and fulfill their goals to what I believe will be most beneficial for THEM to have an enjoyable life, in other words I feel like a director of a film. Also, Its not a feeling of "Who should "I" bang?" but more of a "These two have great chemistry and can help each other out.". I feel this sense of not only wanting to help the protagonists, but also help the friends that they have made along the way. Each character in Ocean's AVNs feel like a protagonist of their own respective arcs which is stellar, they don't exist just to be with the MCs, but have their own agendas and ambitions that they want to fulfill with or without the protagonist's help.

I hope people understand what I'm trying to say, it's such a unique artistic direction that Oceanlab has taken that it's tough to find the right words that do these masterpieces justice. More of this please!

*phew*...okay, I'm done.

I just finished playing and left with the feeling that Bella and the love child of Tony Stonem and Tommy Shelby were trying to play like grandmasters while Vanessa was stockfish all along.

Well even being a dik is same in this, the rival thing won't make any sense untill mc chose a girl and starts dating cause current mc isn't someone who goes for all in rivalry for a girl who likes another guy (nami is an exception)
