Thats not unusual. I learned British English at school and later the internet was all over American English. So the result is totally clear.

I haven't installed any mods and I don't have saves either. Anyone knows what KeyError: U'variants' is?

Except for the part where the claims aren't empty. With all the Patreon $$$ he's raking in DC could have hired 6 more code monkeys, and 4 more posers on a short term contract to adjust everything to the new aspect ratio ect. If he had, this tech update would be finished by now, and we could move on to asking "R(h)onda when?" Instead, he's dragging ass like a dog across carpet, same as always. And the excuse of "DC is the only artist bla bla bla" doesn't cut it, not this time, because this time it's not a story/art focused update, it's a TECH update, which means the bottleneck can't be in the art department.

He coulda done that 3 years ago and the game would be finished by now. He didn't then, isn't now and probably won't ever. So yeah, pretty empty to always draw that out when it's over 4 years and nothing changes. Coming in here every month or so to whine he makes ~70k a month and could/should hire an army of randos to complete the game within 2 weeks won't make it any faster

There's also the tiny fact he has to redraw the entire game in 16:9, not that it'd take time anyway

It's not empty it's the heart of the issue. He didn't then and isn't now because this game is DC's personal cash cow, that's why it's called milking! It's paying off his house and putting money in his kid's college fund; the longer he can drag out finishing SS the better it is for him, because he knows the day the game is finished is the day that cash cow dies. Hiring more people and getting things done in a timely manner works against him, just like adding in more females to lewd, even though he hasn't used all those on his current roster, works in his favor. If you can't see this it's because you're choosing to be willfully blind to the issue at hand.

As for me, I actually want to see the game finished, polished, and delivered instead of being the porn equivalent of Duke Nuke'em Forever and considered played out by the time it's finally done, or worse never gets finished at all, and is simply abandoned.

He already hired people, and people left, and nothing made things any faster. Better, yes, but not faster. And art never was the bottleneck.

Obviously not, because the art still isn't done. There are still 2 to 3 locations, as well as some some art for the second batch of scenes missing - and probably many other smaller details like backgrounds for existing scenes or stuff that class picture we saw a few days back. Reading your post I'm not sure you know that you adapt the aspect ratio by expanding/drawing every single background/cutscene/etc. by hand and not by having someone change some code...

Of course it does, because DC just wrote himself here a couple of pages back that he will move on to Ronda as soon as the tech update art is done. So no, nothing would really be faster with 6 more posers and 4 more coders overall, you'd just get the tech update faster to then wait longer for the Ronda stuff... it's the same as always.

I don't really believe that you care for the game that much if you don't even bother to inform yourself about basic details?
Next to that, do you really believe that DC's next game would be way less popular, when there are so few other good (mobile) 2D games on the market and when he has such a huge fanbase by now? As long as he's working, he'll make money, that's pretty clear by now. You don't have to like that, but this constant complaining and vicitm playing really doens't help anybody.

Edit: What I'm really saying is that there's no need to get worked up about the same thing again and again...

I Think most of the people would do the same to make some money of their own fruit of work. If you look at any Patreons, many do the same but also delivering Promises , taking breaks with honest approach and many more like this.

In the End if you dont like to help the dev. You can stop to help him if you dont like his long working time on a new update. Thats being said. Everyone can change their mind. And stopping the support of the dev.

So I dont know, I can also understand the bitching of consumers but there are always two sides that should be considered.

I playing this now to the end of each character , when Iam done I will wait for two more years or so And then maybe the work was big enough to make another good approach to have fun with the new content. There are so many games here to play. So you can waste alot of time on them too.

So in the End complaining about every dev who is taking his time in making their games is just time waste. Thats a lesson I learned late like others here. But its kind of a Truth.

Just pointing out about the bolded word : you're not a consumer on Patreon. You pay to help dev(s) make their stuff and/or tip them as a thank you for what they do. You're not buying anything and you're not entitled anything (aside the tier rewards or other forum/Discord bonus, which is 99%+ never a physical item you get mailed to you). Patreon is a donation-based site whose main purpose is to do the above, it's not Kickstarter where you pay now and have the game made for you in X time and you'll get a copy when it's done
