I am going to give my 2 cents, then leave it at that. And I hope I don't spark something else.

But if he is doing this game for "donations" and actually gives it for free, he is free to do as he wishes when he wishes.
It's like volunteering for a group, then getting some fringe benefits, like a meal, in return.

I am curious how many of the people complaining about his timelines or direction of the game are actually people who donate on the patreon page.

I don't donate, so I don't complain. I just await patiently, but eagerly for the next version of the game.

i pay, and i not complain... the stream allow me to see the dev actually work on the game and this is good. its like looking an chef cooking what you are going to eat. of course you want it fast, but you still know whatever the time it will take, the result is here.

all i can say to peoples who want it is ... just wait. its bad to be urge like this because when the update will come out, you will rush it like crazy and then .. you will complain again for the next update and etc..

better to wait and then enjoy what you have waited for

but thats just my point of view . also DC is actually an very good dev and a kind person with who you can troll and laugh during the work on the game, and this is great and proove again that the game will be better because he is all in the game with his soul ad heart

If only he didn't add crows feet and age lines to every single freaking character I'd agree. When the daughter looks older than the mom you have a problem, or else he lives in a part of the world that is covered with fugly people, so DC's perspective is skewed.

EDIT: The new teachers look much, MUCH better than the originals. I hope he goes back and does a review of the original art he made for the game and standardized it. The teachers actually look like 20 and 30 year olds and not 40-50+ that have been sleep and food deprived.

he sayed on one of his stream that he will in futur remake some of the old characters for make them fit better with their story/rp/life. like the bank lady , the librarian for exemple and few others

So I used to work for a AAA studio (Believe me or not).If something is delayed and not delivered in a reasonable time, it's a sign of a disorganized or bad studio. While something might be worth the wait, DC seems to have fallen into the delayed work trap. Which in some cases is fatal. He admitted that he added two more scenes that weren't planned. So now you have an update that was "promised" 2-3 weeks ago and now he probably is set back anywhere from 2-4 weeks for the rest of his development. He's on a slippery slope of delays.

At the end of the day, no one wants to back something is constantly delayed (unless they don't give a hoot about money). It's why I can't support a different game, the dude does fantastic work but makes almost no progress over a long period of time despite being well-funded.

I'm hoping for his sake that this was just an honest mistake and he goes back to regularly updating.

I wasn't suggesting he was milking money nor that he wasn't working hard. I've watched several of his streams and I know he is passionate about this project. I am however pointing out a simple truth of development, meeting deadlines are key.I just rather not see him fall down the rabbit hole so to speak.

All the haters are taking a really short term view on this. In a year or two, when the game is done, nobody's gonna care if some minor release was delayed a couple weeks. The only thing that will matter is if the final product is any good.

It's absurd that anyone other than the Patreon donors feel entitled to anything here.

If people want to get pissed about something, they should reserve their ire for any other behind-schedule games that charge monthly fees for access but DON'T contribute the final product for free to the community.

Do I want to play it, yes, I enjoy the game. Do I feel like DC owes me an update? No, even if I had money tied to the project. I've supported projects in the past and if I didn't feel a game was delivering. I withdrew my money.

As I've already said, I'm simply pointing out a simple truth of development.
