I'm replaying the game from the very beginning to score some corruption + power now that I know I can -3 later (I would rather not pick up the -20 heart so I can get the skill one) and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, Jared is a massive fucking asshole from day 1.

If someone can try to redeem him without failing miserably, it's our man Weirdworld, but I'm killing him as soon as I get the chance :KEK:

Id just use the mod menu or shift 0 or whatever to do that it's way easier

I mean, you're totally right and I would normally do it that way for small scenes, but I wanted to do it this way regardless for a couple of things:

1: Replaying the game knowing all current lore I know. This way I could check up on lil' references/breadcrumbs dropped early on the game and better see where they lead (as well as to refresh my memory and better cope until next update).

2: I would rather play the game "as intended" because I wouldn't want to miss a variable and lock myself of some content by error. I'm currently aiming for a 0 corruption route (even if I could -23 LOL) and to change some early choices, like Aglaecwif pregnancy during Battle of Diamonds.

Also, I wanted to genuinely check the early game since I knew of Jared redemption ARC (He fucking sucks...), and also to check more hints for the "Tiffany murders her dad" ARC too (I heard the theory she planned the wedding murder and I need to double-check it).

What are you defining as "normal" radiation?
Normal radiation being non-monster-powered radiation.
Am I remembering wrong? I'm pretty sure he did that against Tiffany (during serum evo), against Met, and probably a few other times? I don't completely remember, but I'm pretty sure he's sapped the effectiveness of others' powers before without killing them. And in general, inhibiting power sounds like a passive effect Power would have, like Authority altering others' thoughts to prevent them from thinking Jake's transformation was weird, Body's regen, and Alice's barrier.

This is starting to sound just like "magical monster radiation"...

"Radiation that comes from Power"... What is this thing you call "Power"?
What is the radiation "Power" emits?

Wym? It is magical monster radiation. It's made with monster power, and things with monster power innately resist other things with monster power. So, magical monster radiation would resist shapeshifting in the same way that superhumans can resist and could even eventually revert MC's and Ella's shapeshifting because of its monster power.

Michael's ability comes from Power, the second apostle, which holds power over... powers. Michael himself displayed this multiple times, and in the previous update (not the most recent one, the one before that(I think)) Michael did the rituals to control and manipulate a few different kinds of energies, which would imply Power controls "power" as in energy, and that would naturally include monster power. Radiation's simply either the "default" state of Power (As in the trait), or just Michael's default, for whatever reason. Or maybe its just that most enemies he saps power from give it to him in the form of radiation, I wouldn't know.

Power suppression/negation was an attribute of Dark, last I checked. Also, I believe Michael inhibiting Tiffany's light was more due to the fact that he exuded such high amounts of energy instead of his power having any power suppression functions.

I didn't really mean negation or suppression, as much as power draining and/or controlling the flow of energy in general.. I worded that incorrectly, sorry.

And wasn't she initially winning, until he sapped the energy of her attacks for himself?

Please, tell me you haven't been confusing a means of energy transmission with radioactive particles this entire time, because I swear that had already been settled before you came in saying it wasn't that...

What??? The only things I said were that A) the Power trait has been repeatedly shown to mess with monster power (as well as other types of energy), and that B) monster power in general messes with monster power.

If the Power trait messes with monster power, it affecting the activation of shapeshifting/regen isn't a stretch at all, and regardless of that, the presence of foreign monster power in MC's body delivered via Michael's radiation causing radiation poisoning would hinder MC's transformation in the same way Cole's heat did, because monster power hinders abilities.

So it's not some "monster radiation" or even "magical monster radiation", it's ionising radiation just like Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Neutron radiation... In other words, at long last, you've been saying that yes, nuclear radiation would at the very least harm and possibly kill the MC.

So "thank you" for providing the most pointlessly convoluted answer to what was asked in the first place, and for actually agreeing with my supposition in the first place.

:EDIT:

Meant assertion, not supposition.

...What I said is that the radiation doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Michael slowing down MC's regen beyond being what gets Michael's monster power to MC's body, and possibly interfering with MC's monster power by virtue of Michael having Power as his monster trait, but you're free to interpret what I said however you'd like.

It's not about a different interpretation, it's your own words and what they actually mean.

You said;
If the Power trait messes with monster power, it affecting the activation of shapeshifting/regen isn't a stretch at all, and regardless of that, the presence of foreign monster power in MC's body delivered via Michael's radiation causing radiation poisoning would hinder MC's transformation in the same way Cole's heat did, because monster power hinders abilities.
That's you saying Michael can emit ionising radiation.
You're not using those words because you didn't know that's what it was, and just keep throwing "monster radiation" around, but that's what your magical "monster radiation" actually is - Ionising Radiation, the same thing that killed him as part of his ascension from human to superhuman.

Therefore, you did answer my question and you do support my assertion, you just don't realise it!
