@phreakinowski I did try letting it run. Came back 30 minutes later and it still wasn't working.

Maybe I'll see if there is disc space I can clear up. Maybe that will help?
Yeah, the OS needs room for it's scratch disc to write temporary files to unallocated drive space whenever its trying to uncompress an archive like this, so if you are too close to running out of hard drive space it can cause everything to slow down to a crawl, and could even hang indefinitely since it does not have enough space to work with. Also try quitting all unneeded apps first to, since that would help with memory swapping.

EDIT - also... was this with the Hi-Rez or Low-Rez version of the game? You might try the Low-Rez version if you hadn't already and see if that opens easier for you. If it does it leans more towards a memory/drive space issue on your computer.

Here's my crunched version.

Lossy compression (means image/audio/video quality is reduced to make shit smaller) is used. You've been warned so no bitching.

Sex (hc) = good game
no Sex (not yet) = bad game (not worth dl)

I do NOT agree.
I love games which develop slowly and with creativity ...
If someones likes to have instant hc-sex from the first minute, there are millions of porn movies in the i-net.

:) :) ;)
Yeah, you like slow games huh ? but unfortunately , you cannot boast about the future, something unexpected might happen midway, while you wait for the game , and I guess you know what I mean

@Boomatica
Hi,

There will be option that enable to get out of the house in the future updates?

And there will be more characters in this great game?
Hi xAshard,
Yes to both questions :
I'm planning for the MC to visit S's collage and M's work place.
Other characters will come much later in development, I want to focus on progressing M&S first ^^

A wonderful person appears!

I was wondering how to 'flip the skirt' of M and S?
Hi Joel,
Are you refering to the "Flip the skirts" on the mainmenu?
If so you just need to click on their skirts.

Hey boom, seeing as you are still relatively early in the remake progress, i dont mind asking, but why not move to unity or something? Run the game as a realtime 3d game aka the twist. Save massively on space, and instead of images, can make actual animations. I know it would be learning a new engine, and i do not know how difficult that would be, but given you have mostly only just started this game, and given things kst has said about development in unity, it seems it would be easier and better for you in the long run.

@Boomatica - Can not save a game from the Mac version. This bug reared itself in Private Resort where it just could not save if running from a USB drive. But I tried moving this to my main drive and it did not work. You start a new game, you get past the introduction stuff, and then when you try to create a new save file, nothing happens. The saves section remains blank and no save is created, so basically no way to play the game in it's current state on Mac.
Where are the saves stored on a Mac?

Currently they are not actually in the ideal location (I brought this to Boom's attention so hopefully this will be corrected in a future build)... they currently can be found in the user/Library/Application Support folder under the name "DefaultfileX.rpgsave". Ideally these will be moved along with the "Default" folder that is holding all the RIA config files and be relocated to it's own RIA folder in Application Support. I have recommended that he create an RIA directory as well as rename the default named files to something RIA specific. So this may all change in an upcoming build, but at least for now that is where you can find the save files.

Am I wrong, or can you not corrupt either of them past 3? I'm wondering if you can actually do anything of note with either.

It's still an early version of the game so yeah you are right and in the current version 3 is the max, but I know Boom is working on the next version and expect that to change soon. Not certain what his timeline is but it should be moving forward with more content pretty soon based on his usual release schedule.

Just wanted to note that I just tested a new Mac build for Boom that changes the save file locations and makes it all much cleaner. As of the next version the game will create a new directory at user/Library/Application Support/Boomatica/RIA and all save and configuration files will now be stored there. I tested that it worked with new and old saves, so you will just need to run the game once so it creates the new directory and then quit, move your old saves in, and then restart the game and you should be able to then load old saves with no trouble. (This assumes no changes are made before release that requires a new save, but at the moment the test build I had loads old saves with no trouble)
