The only issue I have, is that they're trying to profit off the theft.
I thought of making a mac version, then I just realized I have seen these renders somewhere else.

If you have issues with that, then you also need to have issues with piracy (stealing) as well imho. If someof the crators of the original renders take offense from this, they could land him in hot water with Patreon though (possible).

As for creators "helping themselves" to images and such... If you look at all those games out there using rl porn/adult stuff in their games. They reuse assets used in other games all the time, eventhough there is a HUGE source to draw from on the internet if they put more than 5 minutes of effort into it.

there are devs who are making games on a 2 gb 750 TI. If you download an asset and dont pay for it, it's piracy. If you if you download an asset, don't pay for it, pretend it's your work and sell it, that's a little different in my book.

Tbh, it would been better with a great story without any images, as it wouldn't leave the consumer with ... "Seen it all before"...

He didn't pretend it was his work though. He did credit the creators for their work... But that doesn't really make it right unless he also asked the same creators if it was okay he could "borrow" their assets.
