I'm doing CPU renders myself.Video cards at recommended prices have not been sold for many years, and what should poor developers do in this case?
Trying to render on a smartphone?

I think it depends a lot on the intention of the developer.View attachment 1615679
lmao
Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I honestly don't mind.
If anybody wants to use my renders I think is fine as long as the player is happy about it, but I would get why some people or devs would be mad.
Yeah, asking for permission or notifying the orginal dev should be the minimum but this is f95, I'm not surprised. There is piracy all around here and if one thing is the norm so should be everything, sure I wouldn't have minded if they contacted me and asked me for the permission still I wish more people did this, I know it sounds bad but I think many people that don't know how to use daz or hs could create amazing stories and if it means using content by third party with or without permission I'd honestly accept them with arms open. About the monetization you have to remember that living is not free nor cheap, this guy maybe is trying to make something even if not with much effort to escape a boring and unsatisfing life. I'm honestly happy, even proud that someone tought renders I did were good enough to reuse.I think it depends a lot on the intention of the developer.
Once talking with a dev I was surprised that he had no problem to give me his art (it was 2d of his VN), I started a project, and the first thing I did was to clarify that the art was not mine, the second to leave a link to his patreon and not charge or pretend to accept donations, although in programming if I had enough fabric to cut, it was a sandbox (in the end I left it for personal reasons and never published it).
But I think 2 things are key:
1: ask permission to the author (I mean, you may be the author, but even so it doesn't bother you that I didn't ask you? Even if your answer was "no problem", it's like a minimum of cordiality.
2: no less important; which defines whether you play dirty or clean: make it clear that they are "borrowed assets".
For me it is not an excuse not to have a powerful pc, I use TK17 and Honey (and the 2 already puts to the limit much my pc), not by taste, but by limitations, but not for that reason I will not go to take renders of other VN.
I "confirm" that many people don't know how to use DAZ or Honey, but some "mysteriously" are very popular (with a minimum effort at least created renders), but that's a topic for another thread (I guess).Yeah, asking for permission or notifying the orginal dev should be the minimum but this is f95, I'm not surprised. To summarize:
Yes, please credit the author name, but don't stop from creating because you can't cover the skill of creating frames.
And monetize if you needed, this is capitalism and we all agree to it everyday
PS/Edit:
Unless there is a rule on f95 about using other's assets
