Now that Patreon is out of the picture to trash the writing here's to hoping this gets reworked a bit, mainly getting rid of the stepcrap and replaced with real incest since that is obviously the target audience, since as is it might as well be called Fake Family. Seriously, stepcest is an insult to incest fans, as you are then just fucking vanilla people that happen to live in the same house as you. Also probably more sub bucks if some underaged cousins are later added as well (or rewritten to where the sisters are also jailbait and not just for being blood related), don't underestimate the perverts that use SS only, most of which have rather deep pockets. Just because Patreon and F95 ban it (assuming there's no decensor patch) doesn't mean demand magically goes away. Like street drugs all that does is raise the price.

Rather than stepcest making them "neighbors" and using placeholders for the titles in relation to the MC is the best way to do it tbh. Make the file that controls those variables open so players can edit it to whatever instead of requiring people to decompile it. Aunt, cousin (those are patreon safe right?), Miss (last name), whatever then those who don't want flat out consanguinity can change it to their liking with ease as well.

No, no incest at all. Any familial connection is against their incest rules regardless of how incest is defined in your local legal jurisdiction. Where I live cousin is legal, aunt is not. Go to the US and pretty much every state has its own rules. Some allow cousin marriages, some forbid cousin marriages, some allow cousin marriages dependent on the results of genetic screening to minimize inbreeding risks. Other countries have all sorts of laws all over the place with regards to incest limitations. Patreon simply bans it all.
Landlady and roommate for parents and siblings, neighbour and friend for aunts and cousins. Unless you're writing two versions of the script so it makes sense with or without the patch that's the best way to do it imo. Everyone recognizes those replacement terms so if you see them then you know you're probably missing a patch.

Better still just say fuck Patreon and make it blood-related incest by default like they should have done to start with (which is what 97% of incest fans want anyway, not the poor-substitute fake stepshit, hell even blood-related aunts and cousins are considered "poor man's incest"), far simpler. Pretty sure those are now banned as well, they've caught on that those are just code words for incest intended to be patched (and it no longer matters who writes the patch, even if 3rd party devs have been banned for it, Heart Problems the latest older one that I've noticed). Bottom line is Patreon is getting less and less worth the risk for devs actually wanting to make money from their non-boring AVN, better to just use SS, do it for free just for the fun of it, or don't bother at all.

Yeah where I am it is as well, you just can't marry them but as long as one is 16 age gap does not matter either, so hypothetically if some 16yo girl wants to get pregnant by her 30yo brother and he's fine with it (or vice versa) she legally can, at least as long as he's not also a daddy/guardian role or similar.

That will get your Patreon under review but they've reinstated the pages in most cases. It's kinda fucked up right now. They'll look at the site analytics for the creator's page, they'll notice a lot of their traffic is coming in from their respective F95 page, they'll check the page and if they see an incest tag or an incest patch on the first post then they'll typically put the game under review. They'll correspond with the creator, get their side of it and then make a decision. Most of the incest devs I follow who've been put under review for that lately have gotten their pages back though. So atm it looks like incest patches are probably still safe as long as you maintain some level of plausible deniability but to be honest there's a risk involved putting any adult content on Patreon. Never know when overlord paypal will decide to change gooning to gone.
Some games have tried to have the Patreon link removed from the first page to avoid this but it seems in most cases the mods end up re-instating the links at some point.

Go above Patreon, and you have their shareholders, advertisers, and the banks that Patreon uses to move the money around. Those three entities pull the strings. They are all trying to avoid any possible litigious actions and public ridicule. Put yourself in the mind of a business owner. Do you walk on the edge of public outcry or play it safe to protect your profits?
