Let's not forget he also has a perfect daughter, a harem of girls right to go if Asuna is not available including his not related sister, guy friends who doesn't threaten his harem (except in fanfics), god tier gaming skills, and a stable government job. Yea. A lot of possible hate/jealousy reasons for Kirito.
Or you could say he has psychological trauma, a perfectly boring girlfriend, a bunch of friends with no personal lives, and a gaming addiction. The government job is good, though; it’s all a matter of perspective. :sneaky:

I mean, it's half and half :p? It's mostly how King described it, despite his mocking, only that it's a lot more complex and emotional than it seems. And 4-kun was totally right on the first thing, all the "good" on Kirito's life the haters like to mock comes at the cost of constant emotional and psychological trauma every arc, failing/hurting people he cares for, and a few times even seeing them get killed and blaming himself for it (And usually at least being indeed a bit to blame, even if he himself makes it seem a thousand times worse). Nobody ever really mentions that when looking at Kirito though, kinda like how the last thing in someone's mind when Deadpool is brought up is the cancer or the countless psychological and existential suffering he has gone through, it wouldn't be funny for the fandom/haters otherwise :p

His job also wasn't stable at all, if anything it was the shadiest part of things he had to do out of necessity/responsibility and also what caused him more trauma than ever before...

Once again, I wanna bring up the hilarious niche existence of the SAO Gameverse AU, which actually IS closer to what most haters shit on SAO about (Or at least embraces the tropes a lot more) and actually DOES massively reduce the amount of psychological and mental trauma Kirito goes through...and still honestly has better writing than the actually known canon series XD

Sugu should make it so that Kirito can say "Who's cheating on who now, damn whore" :devilish:

As fun as that would be, gotta remember, this IS still at the end of the day a NTR game with Kirito as the main victim...you should NOT want Kirito to get a fair and just retribution because the plot will never allow it, if anything, as I have said many times before, the only reason Sugu's plot is being allowed to go on is because of it being currently something BAD for Kirito as is. The only way Sugu can "win" in any level is if things stay like that, sadly, but yeah, Fujino's writing will stay true to the end, Kirito needs to be actually 'suffering' from whatever happens for Suguha to get a good end and stay free of the NTR-verse's power...

Many people might say, "What are you talking about? This is a parody! The author makes the characters what he wants and makes the plot what he wants!" Maybe...
But are people playing this game because they're just familiar names? Asuna and Kirito? Or are people playing this because Asuna and Kirito are practically the strongest romantic couple among the ranobe and anime, and it would be interesting to see the NTR version of their story? I'm sure it's more likely the second option.
But at the same time, I would like to see some realism in their relationship. And not Kirito, who throws Asuna out of a date to go investigate some far from urgent nonsense, or Asuna, who refuses Kirito to go through the quests to go wash the another man cum off her thighs.(it's a matter of 2 minutes, I think Kirito could have waited.). It looks like they've been married for 20 years and are just tired of each other.
It's sad...

So what event do people think will break the 500 affection limit? I think it has to be some sort of emotional feeling rather than physical pleasure because we've already had a ton of that in FOG and even some irl

It's a lot more likely that it's caused by Asuna completely losing faith in Kirito or falling under the power of the dick rather than any real emotional feelings, tbh, unless Fujino wants to finish murdering whatever remains of her character (Which he most likely will anyway XD). Like, really, it feels way more 'real' that she would snap from seeing him "cheating" IRL or finally succumb to Inoda's dick in the real world than her actually falling for him XP

Well, like always, something happens, Asuna gets the wrong idea, Inoda plays his cards right, and boom.

Inoda doesn't seem to be doing anything useful at all.
Inoda just washes in the shower:
Suguha - "I'll move this scum named Liz to the next room".
Inoda just came to Asuna's hotel for a while:
Dangerous virus - "I will attack an african man, who goes to this particular hotel".
Inoda is just sniffing Asuna's panties:
Asuna - "I should jerkoff him".
Inoda doesn't do anything and he's not even in this scene:
Asuna - "condoms or pills?".

Hope it's the dick one. Asuna getting 'justified' because she thinks Kirito is also cheating felt like a weak hook to me

If it is just "I see Kirito so me cheating is fine" or just a good dicking is just so boring. I hope there is a more nuanced reason of Asuna falling out of love for Kirito because she sees him as unreliable. Asuna's major Inoda affection increases has always been because he was there to comfort or understand her when Kirito was not. So I always thought Fujino's choice of changing ALO arc where it was her father not Kirito saving Asuna from Oberon/Sugou as a way to lessen the Kirito's impact on Asuna by not being the one to save her at her most vulnerable moment. If in the ritual of getting Yui Kirito royally fucks up it would play into my theory.

I agree, what she does is definitely taboo and Kirito would obviously be against it. Sometimes you just want to fantasize and not think about it
