Before being discourage for whatever reason, please consider the following approach to making a game (sex related or not):
1) Make the story, FIRST!
2) Make alternative routes for your story as you believe there should be. And have an interactive story. You can borrow images that other people have made, just make sure you contact such individuals (the artists and whoever is paying to use them) and get their permission. You can use the art that you have already made, but you don't have to make as much change work to it. It is less work on your part.
3) Do all of these without charging people, but make sure your patreon account is accessible. This way you make some money by people who are impressed. You might have to polish your writing by reading other stories to get ideas and see what may fancy your boner that may in turn fancy other people's boners. The point of making a sex game besides making money at the expense of boners is to also sell ideas about sex and the nature of sex.
If you are having a writers block, then you go back to reading someone's work, then you read your own work and you make changes based on what would make it fit what you want it to be. If that doesn't work, then you consider the trajectory of your story where it begins and how it should end that best fits how you see yourself. Remember, you are selling yourself and the best way to attract people to your work is to humanize it. People are attracted to human qualities. So the more you appeal in your work as a reflection your soul and horny disposition, the more people would be positively receptive towards it. Keep true to that and you'll do fine.
4) You have people come up with ideas, but they have to be A) GOOD, B) PAID FOR, meaning if they are contributor to your Patreon account in giving you money, they can have their direction of story telling included given it is considered good by your standards, you must list and explain those standards to the point that people other than yourself can understand what are your expectations.
5) Then you start getting artwork together from a semi-professional or good artist and coding for an actual game. The best game is a visual novel, because it requires the least amount of work, on your part. And if you already have the story together, then that means much less work you have to do. You may have to polish some parts to make the story better, more believable, or more exciting. But it should be 90% the same to guarantee your audience remains loyal and invested. Make sure you don't scare away your artist. This is what Ch-man did. Don't scare away your artist. Make sure you have an agreement arrangement and fall back artist (maybe two) in case your first artist doesn't fall through. You can also get an artist from your loyal supporters if need be. Just say, hey, I need someone who is killed in such and such art. I will like to offer auditions and I am willing to pay you Such and Such amount for each pic. Make sure it is a fair and reasonable amount AND that you pay them initially before the first picture is offered and the subsequently after each follow-up. This is a monetary method I have found that works on keeping your artist(s) working for you, because the first one guarantees that they start working for you and the later guarantees that they continue working for you. The same can be done with coding, but if it is a Visual Novel, you don't have that much coding that would need to be done.
6) Then you sell the game after it is made. Then you use the money to hire a larger team and make the actual game.
7) Then you use money from the actual game and make an alternative. You make make an adventure, sims, fighting, RPG, whatever. It just has to be different from your first, but it can involve the same characters and story. You don't have to change much to sell the same stuff to the same audience and have more of their money. You just have to satisfy the need for more content.
8) Then you change the story for all three of your games and you make the protagonists Chinese and the antagonists Japanese. You find someone on the up and up in the Chinese Market in the Mainland who is respected by the Party. And make sure whatever you sign will not impact your ownership or how much money you would make from your product. Then do the same in Spanish, Russian, French, and German. Japanese will be a hard market to sell in as very few Japanese people would like foreign products, especially when there is nothing for them to gain from it. It is usually Japanese individuals who despise their own society that end up liking anything that is western. So better luck in the German market. And that is only optional. But you can still make a good amount of money in German, French and even Russian Markets. But the big money will be in the Spanish and Chinese markets. You could also sell in the Portuguese Market, but it should be called the Brazilian Market as most of your customers if any will be from that specific Portuguese speaking country. Also Portuguese is mutually intelligible with Spanish, so you really don't need a Portuguese translation as most Brazilians will probably get enough of the jest of the Spanish version that they wouldn't demand nor need one. You could also sell in the Indian market, but having it in English should suffice as that is the lingua franca for the whole of India. Whenever you translate a game take advantage of the politics in that country or the major one you would most of your sales to made in. So for Spanish, you can either exploit Argentina or Mexico. I go with Mexico, they got more people and more money and more people with money. So you exploit them by making the Antagonists akin to the Republican Party or Trump. You could exploit Argentina by making the antagonists Brazilian or Chilean as those are the primary rivals historically speaking for Argentina, but I am uncertain if that holds up for today. There is a considerable amount of internalized strife going in France which may backfire in attempt to exploit them, although you can always make the antagonists British or Russian and that should suffice. Hey it is just like the United States between the left and the right or between the right that don't like Trump and the right that do as well as the left that don't like corporate politics and the left that does. However, it is best to avoid politics if you want it to sell big in America. Might work in the Canadian Market. It won't work here.
