the 4a has an inventory bug that override items. the changelogs says that this is (supposedly) fixed in the 4b version. but the 4b doesn't fix your save. if you started your game in 4a and lost items that is it, you are screwed.Eh, it's no big deal, I can start all over again.
I mean, I had something around 40% of the game done and while that's a good amount of the game completed, I don't mind losing such progress that much. Could be worse, right?

This is so incredibly disingenuous it hurts. The NTR scene from two patch’s ago was not snuck in. We were told a head of time it was in the game and in the Mary story line, just not what it involved. The problem with the scene was that the choice to see the scene didn’t come until AFTER he grabbed Mary’s tit. That’s literally all it was before the choice but, rightfully so, people had a problem with it.
Play the game. The gallery unlocker linked in the OP was for version a, not version b. Someone else has written their own unlocker - skimming through the last couple of page and/or a thread search will find it for you.
You're right. A simple search using that search box in the upper right hand corner of every page would tell you it's been posted from the moment of the release. There is no skip. There is play from game day one. most of this update was adding in sandbox-like options, rework of some are, revisions to the story line mostly near the beginning, and adding in a couple new characters. Of the scenes that count toward completion, about 5% are new. The screenshot of the gallery of the new CG scenes has been posted here several times.
