Actually I thought these AI images are a bit bland, that they were demonstrating how hard it is to give characters soul

Of course they are kind of bland, it's machined based. Now the real question is if you did not know it was machine based would you still feel that way? I have seen a few really good AI pics that had me asking this very question until I found out they were AI. I am really against people passing off AI as there art, at this point being it is basically being created off the blood sweat and tears of actual artists...

No one here that's worth a salt cares what your sexuality is. Be 100% straight, 100% gay, somewhere in between and somewhere off the chart. You don't need to feel like you need to defend or qualify what you like. Just be you and be happy about yourself.

In my eye's by not tagging stuff as AI it is the same as saying it's my art seeing many examples of this on image boards not here though so at least there is that... The issues are the original artists can't even get any credit or exposure due the nature of training AI to make pictures. Its not so much the users until they don't tag the picture as AI then it is a bit scumbagish behavior on the users part. I want to like AI in a general sense but at the moment it really is the wild west and I don't like the fact that actual artists may be hurt by this and maybe even not get payed due to AI...

Said that, indeed, the AI image creators are still on diapers, and is not the same as artwork done by an actual artist, it lacks soul, for calling it something, and will take a while for the AI to be on par with an actual artist

However, problem is, there will be a point in time, in the foreseeable future, where the AI artworks would be the norm, and artist would have to carve a niche out by themselves, because it would be easier to set an AI to do the work, and then do final retouching and call it a day

That's why a ton on controversy is going around the use of AI, whether is good or bad, whether it would end a lot of jobs and crash some well stablished industries, because it would easily overflow said industries, or if it will overcome humanity and gain setience and rebel on their creators (aka humanity), speaking of AI right now and debating on the ramifications of it on the daily life is quite a controversial topic, that i think can be done somewhere else, because we all here are in for Pr0n, not for debate over AI

It's off topic, but i think Uberpie is using it bro. I'm also an artist, i can tell his recent works are made by different render process. It doesn't looks like Uberpie's artstyle. And it's pretty much similar to Ai-generated image. You might be notice the differences. So Uberpie could be using AI as concept/base image now or maybe he hired colouring artist.

There is actually a thread already on this forum for the discussion of AI in the off topic section of the forum. This is why up until last night I have limited my response in this thread. I did post once in that other thread though so I know it exists. As far as being flattered by AI using your styles you will likely never know about it unless you can get the engineers in charge of teaching the AI model to share their data dumps with you

The last update was a while ago now and the AI models presently that could actually do a fair job of pornographic images are only in the 3-6 months ago range of time. I could be wrong but I just don't think he is using AI.

This game has become a second summertime saga.

Bro I need to stop my day time job and start doing this somehow. These people get rich of these patreon / subscribestar donations and they milk these games for years and years. With only a few updates a year. Sometimes not even 1 or 2 updates.

Less than 50% of adult game developers on Patreon make $100 USD per month or more. Less than 10% make enough to possible make it a full time job while not living in their parent's basement. About 5% make enough to live on their own, without needing a roommate (depending upon what city they live in).

Yeah I don't doubt that but making a "successful" game is a fair amount of work and perhaps a little luck too, I don't think it is as easy as you are making it sound. On the other hand maybe "you" can do it. Vegas says odds not in your favor though.

Upgrading your hardware doesn't mean your artstyle change bro, that won't give significan change. Art isn't about equipment but technique. Ofc this is only my assumption and maybe still sounds baseless. I was denial about it back in january, but after i saw his recent posts i think he could be using it. Uberpie's artstyle changes isn't normal because he went with different render approach and it resulted he lost his "unique" vibes. And notice few major changes :
-It went with soft blend
-It has different colouring technique
-It went with realistic style.
-It has different anatomy proportion
-It has less outline/lineart

I think we can notice it from the skin, hair, and light setting of his recent artworks. It's totally gave different vibes than he used to be (e.g : danny becca kissing and new mary cgs). I'm not saying he use AI 100%, but i think he use it as base image/concept.

Like I said I believe he changed the software he was using as well the rig, to a better one that could explain some of the changes seen in the last update. I understand what you mean about technique but expressing your technique with a better program and higher spec machine can yield changes to what you can do with your technique. Is true across all mediums , sketches on a note pad better pencil means an easier time of making finer detail, painting better brushes , paint and canvas can enhance what you can do with your technique. Its the same for hardware and software...

I don't know if Uber will try and use AI , I am not saying he will not try it I just"doubt" he is now... Of course I have no proof but I have been seeing a literal ass ton of AI images as of late and from what I see of Ubers teasers I don't see the tell tale signs of AI currently with respects to the character art. If I was an artist specifically a game artist I would not be against using AI for back grounds but if I was already drawing the character art there is no way I would suddenly say to my self, Fuck art I will just use AI I never loved what I do and I never got much from doing it.... You just don't become good at art with that type of mentality in my opinion. Most artists I know are driven types of people...

Yeah and its a damn good thing they do right? Here's what I have never been able to understand , I am making a bit of an assumption here but it is a logical one. People who claim milking are generally trying to influence others not to pay but if all the paying people followed there advice and yes I know you have not said this "yet" stopped being suckers, sheep,total retards for supporting the game , and they all stopped paying then there is no game and all of us pirates and I am again assuming you are also one of the pirates have no free wares to yar.

This whole message is besides the point im trying to make. I was saying that these devs are genius in how they make money in jalous.

Right it would be a job with pressure and it probably takes a certain kind of individual to pull it off. I am not that guy although I wish I was "sometimes".
