If "the other game" is Bad Memories, that's six months without an update, while this one has sat here, gathering dust. I don't think we should expect an update on EITHER at this point.

Endings to a game typically take a lot longer than a normal update as they need to wrap things up, tie loose ends, etc. They can't just give us part of the ending or some endings (depending on the game). I've seen games require up to a year and a half to wrap up and receive that final update. That's why it's taking an unusual amount of time. Yes, this dev is slow and their work ethics could be better, but I have no reason to suspect or believe any of their games are abandoned.

This game has always been a side project, not a main focus... a means to prevent burnout. The dev posted here and in BM that when BM is completed, he/she will bring attention back to this game.

Also, I did post my predictions last year that we wouldn't see any update at all until early to mid 2025.

There won't be a new update until the next two BM updates are out.

So, one more BM update left I think (from my understanding, possibly game ending, if not 2 updates) before this one receives attention again.

So time frame wise, my guess is early to mid 2025.

Killer7 had to deal with the same issue. In a few more weeks (18 months of no content update), they're going to set the tag to abandoned and there's nothing you can do about it except update the game to change it back. The staff here don't care what you have to say about the game, they'll do what they want even if it makes no sense sometimes. Even though it's changed back to On Hold for now, you basically just received an early warning of what's to come. They're like pre-mature ejaculators, they came too fast with this one,... but they'll come again.

How do you reason that 18 months of nothing makes no sense to tag it as abandoned?! It makes perfect sense, and I think they should be tagged as abandoned after only 12 months. That's a LONG TIME to not have any new content.

Especially if you are a paetron. I support the devs of about 10 games at a time, but never pay much attention to what is going on with those games - I'm supporting development, not paying for releases. If its been 18 months between updates though, I appreciate the notification from F95 that it's changed status and I can go move my donation to another dev.

You should check every 90 days or so and no more than 180 days, if no update then move on to one that is doing regular updates.

it's the dev that put the game on hold. That's when you had the cue to cancel your subscription.
The dev has been quite transparent about wanting to finish bad memories before continuing that one. That was months ago.

8 months to be exact.

Also, very soon (16ish days), the On Hold tag will flip to Abandoned again and remain until the dev releases something. Not that I believe this game is abandoned or anything, but I do believe tags on F95 are misleading and kind of useless given how poorly they're implemented.
