ToLLA_Areas_SoutherWildlands_TitanHead.png

'Sup everybody, we released a patch and content update for the game today: Build#2-A

The new version is up for Patrons here:

Apart from fixing a couple of bugs and tweaking a few scripts, it brings Save/Load functionality to ToLLA - this is now accessible via the floppy disk icon right next to Captain Hale's cabin in the intro area. There's 24 individual slots to make use of, which should be more than enough for anyone's savescumming needs!

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

We've also added a huge exterior map that links to the intro zone, and can be visited after completing the main story content in the starting area. You can walk around the new map, explore its landmarks, harvest resources, and read some of the lore popups. We'll be adding more story content in future updates. The area took a while to finish (and was a huge pain in the ass to properly set up all the pathing/collisions due to its geometry), but it's finally done and it looks great!

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

There's no new lewds in this release - that's coming with the next content update!

Build#2-A Changelog:
  • added saving functionality to the game via a persistent sepia icon (the first of which is located right outside Hale's cabin)
  • extended the duration of all loot infoboxes by +0.5 seconds (for a total of 4.5 seconds... should be easier to read now!)
  • realigned the Hale & Meredith banter messages in the intro area, and extended their individual durations by ~45 frames
  • increased the banter triggers from 1 tile to a square area (2x2, 3x3, 4x4, etc.), making them easier to trip and trigger
  • added a new map (Southern Wildlands) accessible from the intro area... it opens up after the second talk with Meredith!
  • completed the pathing map for the newest area (collision detection, occlusion, etc.), and populated it with interaction icons
  • added 5 new NPC miniatures into the game (their banter strings are currently WIP, will be added after all 2500+ are finished)

Can anyone tell me how much content there is in this game, is it just Elf Sex or is there more?, I'm very interested in becoming a Patreon but I would like to know about the content

BTW I forgot I bought the game on itch :p Do the releases on itch appear earlier than the public ones?
Haha yeah I remember you mentioned buying it in the femdom-finder thread I think? ;)
As for releases, our Patrons get them first, then we release on F95 for a bigger sample size and even more playtesting/feedback. Once everything is bug-free we'll upload to Itch. So currently the 2-A version is the newest one (the version up on Itch right now is a bit older, but it'll get updated in time).
P.S.Edit. You can grab the newest version from the OP here... no offense to the torrent uploader from above, but I don't know how safe it is.

Can anyone tell me how much content there is in this game, is it just Elf Sex or is there more?
There's 1 lewd scene available right now (but it's a big, branching CYOA). So, about 20-ish minutes of lewd content, and some 5-6 hours of non-lewd (depending on how much of the story and NPC dialogues you explore). We have another lewd scene in the works coming with the next update, but it's not currently available in this version.

Art looks fantastic. let me give this a whirr
readme said:
* try to avoid alt-tabbing in/out of the game while you're playing, it's been known to corrupt the text display and show empty messages during talks!

* run the game in fullscreen mode, as per its default setting after it starts up... reducing it to windowed mode can corrupt the text and/or cause crashes!
unfortunate... and I would rather risk text corruption than be forced into full screen mode.
readme said:
TROUBLESHOOTING - If the game itself won't start (white screen), try the following:

(1) make sure you've extracted the main 'ToLLA' folder to the Desktop, and that it wasn't renamed in the process!

(2) try running the game as Admin

(3) temporarily disable any firewall, antivirus, and parental content control(s)
these are terrible advice.

Did you guys have plans to be able to replay some scenes (for example the intro one) so we can see other "choices" ?

Yeah Im not doing that collect 100 nodes quest
Be glad it's not more, our scripter wanted to set it much higher.

That bulletpoint list is there to consult if something breaks or you run into glitches. Yes, you *can* play the game in windowed mode, but it's not a supported feature. Doesn't mean you shouldn't make the attempt if you hate fullscreen so much - give it a try in windowed and see how it goes, maybe you won't have any issues.
these are terrible advice.
Untrue. It helped a lot of people play Build#1 when it came out and some had trouble with it (mostly due to things like filepath names, background processes, or which location the game was extracted to). I don't expect you to read through dozens of previous posts, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't make blanket statements like that.

Yes, there will be a Gallery feature in the future.

Just because something works, does not mean it is a good idea.
You should not be disabling your computer's security to run a game, even if doing so makes the game run.

Also, if you want to whitelist a specific program from your antivirus (something that is extremely rare), then you should use the anti virus whitelist functionality instead of outright disabling it.

As for the desktop. it would be better advice to say to extract it to a low level folder with simple name. such as C:\games\H\aphrosia\
as the desktop could be located in a badly named subfolder if you have something like microsoft onedrive.

Not to get too pedantic, but you do realize that the advice in that list is a final-step measure, right? You're not supposed to do it right off the bat. There's a bunch of other suggestions you can and should work through from the list before you ever get to the point of disabling your malware detection. And yes, some antivirus programs are so aggressive that they block games from running, or interfere with them to the point they're unplayable.
Just because it works doesn't mean it is a good idea to do something.
The steps are there to offer additional help in case of problems. Weighing the pros and cons is up to the end user.

FYI, Anti-Virus apps have been known to cause issues for indie apps or 3rd party programs. Disabling your AV is always a troubleshooting steps for pretty much every app that isn't Microsoft.
It's to avoid false positives and function blocking which some AV are known to do a lot of. Thought it's not the first thing you should do, it's always a probable action if you're 100% sure the app is not Actually malware.
Even if you talk to Microsoft Support, they might ask you to turn off any AV software you have during troubleshooting.
Alternatively you can try using different AV software that's less intrusive.
in my 10 years of Tech Support, It's been an uncommon occurrence for Defender to cause a BSOD in earlier versions of win10, but not rare either. And a lot of big companies have it disabled permanently for precisely the issue of interrupting some of their software, so they would rather use their own company issued security.

I am well aware of what a false positive is.

Disabling your AV is like wanting to get into your locked car, and using a brick to break the window instead of just unlocking the door

Every anti virus on the market has a whitelist functionality that lets you exclude a specific program without disabling the whole thing.

Furthermore, you shouldn't just tell people to disable it without a whole list of qualifications such as :
* only as a last resort
* only to diagnose the problem rather than regularly playing games without it.
* only if you really know what you are doing
* white list the program instead of disable

and so on.

Alternatively you can try using different AV software that's less intrusive.
Finally some actual good advice.
Yes, not using shit antivirus is important.

but you do realize that the advice in that list is a final-step measure, right?
It is listed as step 3 out of 5. before updating drivers. with no qualifications or warnings
nor any mention of trying to whitelist before a full disabling

also... firewall != anti virus.
If your firewall is preventing an offline porn game from running, then it is very sus and probably a trojan.
you should not be disabling your firewall, but asking some hard questions on why this offline porn game is blocked by a firewall

that said, make sure it is actually a firewall and not a security suite (firewall + antivirus).

incidentally, why isn't the known to be problematic antivirus programs named? it would be a lot more helpful to name them and say "there are some known issues with norton antivirus" or what have you.
