On the performance side i gave up on this new version due to the map so can't really comment but on chapter 1 it was fine up until the last third or so (somewhere around/shortly before the mom was introduced) then it was really, really slow for quite some time before going back to normal before the end. Even holding down ctrl to skip was taking 5+ seconds to move between images at one point

This definitely sounds like an issue with the latest renpy version. I will upload the re-package tomorrow...

It sounds like a lot of folks are having memory issues. There could be a garbage collection bug in the most recent version of Renpy which causes memory use to build up but never releases it. I've not had any problems with this or any other Renpy game, but I've also got a decent rig.

FWIW i don't have problems with any other games using the new renpy. PC isn't top of the line by any means but isn't a potato and i use it for a few PC gamepass games without any issues. If i can play forza / yakuza / age of empires iii etc i should be able to run a renpy game. Will download it again & see if i can pinpoint it as it was fine until then and then just ground to a halt.

*Ok have had a look again and it is just at the end of the train with the old man & wife / start of the 38 man park scene where it just grinds to a halt. Slow as hell eating cpu/memory all through the park scene,the prison scene & then mom out & about in town but seems to get back to normal just after this the following morning with the old guy at the car & sitting on the motorbike bit

Before opening any of the new content the game was working good. But with each new location getting opened and completed, the game slowed down. I think I am on the last location and it was almost impossible to play. Each image took 5 or more clicks just to advance to the next one.

It looks like 7.35 is the better version...

I have same problem. I tried to launch 32 one but it also uses 99% GPU and also saves from other one don't work on 32.

I never got a reply from my last question, is there any new animations in the latest updates? I know there are animations in the first 3 updates, but was wondering if dev have started to do sex animation again?

depends on which country you are in, a girl can be coy and say "no" which most guys will see as yes if the girl is acting like that, but some courts will see that as no as it was the words she said and not how she said it....
we even had a guy sentenced for rape 8 years after because the woman changed her mind years after the sex she had agreed on, which was consensual bdsm slave play.... court said even if she had videotaped her self saying she agreed to it, that video would not matter because the man should have expected that she really did not want to do it.....

Still the same for me at least. Gets to the train/38 man park and slows really badly. Started new game, just held down ctrl all the way. I noticed the skipping does seem erratic in places. Generally pretty steady but probably slower than most other games, then you get a few bursts of really fast sections here & there but again as soon as you are ready to leave the train it properly struggles & chugs along frame, by slow frame. It seems to impact everything too. Trying to save/load around this area takes ages & even if you quit the game completely & relaunch it it still seems to hang even loading the game/menu

Out of curiosity, are any of you extracting the files for the game to an old folder?

With Renpy, you should always extract to a new folder. Otherwise all sorts of things can go wrong. You won't lose your saves doing this, at least for Windows, as they're sent by default to your %APPDATA%/Roaming folder.

Also, chapters 1 & 2 should be treated as separate games. Chapter 1 is a linear story, Chapter 2 is more of sandbox where you can pick snd choose what scene you want to watch.

With the two new versions one lost the saves and rewrote the save file to new (nothing in it) and the other just crashes on trying to load a save ( gives an error message and try ignore or rollback just goes to start new game) and that is with both new updates opened to in separate and isolated locations

No, just right click, exctract here directly in downloads dir. same as i always do, once played it just gets deleted. no idea why people fuck about copying stuff into different folders then wondering why stuff doesn't work
