The problem is that we have chosen some rather controversial features, which put the success of the game in great doubt. Patreon showed us that a wide audience is not interested in such a game. The natural conclusion was to switch to another game, another theme, with different features, less controversial but no less unique.
Understanding that, we brought the game to the end of its original storyline and set a goal for Steam to recoup two years of development, which would give us back the confidence we'd started Tame It! for a reason, and provide funding to continue the game in a new format, with a different engine and fixing major flaws in the current game.
Will this goal be achieved? We don't know yet, so we are already working on another game, not Tame It! But we would like to continue this story too, because this story has only just begun. Now it's up to Steam and our community to decide whether or not we'll continue the story of Lee and Tonya, Cat and Octa.
I've lived with these characters for two years, so I react painfully to any moves that diminish their chances. But anyway, we'll be announcing another game soon, so there will be updates anyway, just in a different F95 topic
As for the development of Tame It! Of course, we're counting on at least DLC by ourselves, not to mention the technical updates (we're working on several translations and censored version, several bugs are being fixed and several scenes in the game need to be finalized). As for the sequel... We'll see
