Hi all - final post for 2024!
We want to show off some of our latest work building out the actual game world.
When Kyra heads off to explore, she’ll see that there are 4 distinct biomes in the Skyborne Isles. They will have different resources, monsters, and items to collect, and it should be clear which one is which - so that's hopefully what the first image communicates.
We're also going to have some different game play mechanics in each one, so she can expect something new to encounter as she progresses through the story.
Each biome will have a number of levels, and we have started sketching out possible layouts for the first levels - it's a rough sketch, but it's much easier to iterate there before actually building it in Godot.
We will still likely have to make changes to the design once we can play it, but this is where we are up to for now!
