He doesn't have to give anyone credit you act as if Caro created the genre.

Your offsetting the point making your argument funny. No one said anything about the "Genre".
Be "inspired" to create a similar game is one thing, Copy / Paste the whole setting is another thing (which outland-wanderer does).

At the end of the day as long as they can create a good game it doesn't matter. This happens all the time.
But anyone tries to "Justify" their Plagiarism is laughable.

Oh and Properly gives credit where it's dues is basic courtesy.
It might not matter to you random people, but for content creators that goes a long way.

Wow, i saw the front page, and i definitely thought (for a moment) that this was an alternative version of tavern of spear made by the same creator, lol.

It's good for the Outland Wanderer's dev to come clean and give proper credits, After many peeps pointed out.
But better late than never.
If you don't understand, it's quite a big deal for indie developers.

Unlike many comments here that thought "obvious plagiarism is OK" and even defending such practice. :ROFLMAO:
